Parents of baby Lisa Press Release 10/21/11

  • #81
Although I think the parents are guilty, I feel they can't win when it comes to the media. If they keep quiet, they are accused of not wanting to find Lisa. If they constantly talk to the media, then they are trying to be celebrities. It seems that we form our opinions about how the parents have handled the media based on whether we think they are guilty or not.

I've seen plenty of innocent parents continue to get in front of a camera whether they're going to "win" or not. Lying about the timeline and supplying misinformation is serious. DB can whine about LE and media all she wants. The investigation will go on.

When my children are sick I never leave their side except to get drinks, food, medicine, blankets, potty.. And with my little guy he's normally on my hip... My oldest yes even 16year old I even lay with.. I'm a little bit of a freak I guess but I'd rather be safe then sorry...

You don't go out and buy a big honkin' box a wine first? :innocent:

A press release? Seriously?

I'm trying to remain on the fence because I want Lisa to still be alive, but I'm sickened and hanging over the side of the fence by my teeth!

If my baby were missing and I was innocent, as soon as I knew LE found evidence that a dead body had been on my floor, I'd go all to pieces and beg anyone who might know something, anything at all, to please come forward.

I would not be releasing a self serving press release bashing LE.

IMO

They made a point of getting the info out there thaqt they signed a release to search on this past Mon. didn't they? (And we don't even know if that was true or not. But it sounds like the fact that the search was done worried them) I think it was just to make sure people didn't think they were refusing the search. LOL and LE has already said they made the decision to go for a warrant, and it had nothing to do with the parents and/or attorney. (But I really would have liked to have seen their faces if LE had gone to them and asked to do a search that might result in their yard being dug up, their floorboards taken up, their walls torn up, and their electrical outlets and drains being removed.)

Also noted that parents say the children have been interviewed by someone who specializes in working with kids. She doesn't say if that was in conjunction/cooperation with LE or the FBI or if they have copies of those reports. And didn't DB say not too long ago that the kids hadn't been talked to about that night by either LE or herself? So if they were interviewed, when were they interviewed?

It says the uncle also allowed LE to search his home. Did anyone ever see a time that LE went to the home and was there long enough to do a through search?

He had to have a dinner break. Where did he go?

My husband is also an commercial electrician, who has worked on these types of 'open remodels' (meaning all work is done at night, while the business is closed, so the business can remain open during the day). He said he is never the only one there....other trades, like plumbers, drywallers, etc. would also be present. I would love to know who LE has talked to that would have been working that night. Did these workers confirm his alibi for the entire shift? Every minute?

Also, (IMO) I think it's possible that IF DB truly got wasted that night, she could have put Lisa in her bed, passed out, smothered her, or OD'd her on medicine prior, and Lisa fell out of the bed/got pushed off the bed in her drunken stupor/ and laid (deceased) on the floor for a couple of hours....which is why the cadaver dogs hit on the scent. Maybe JI DID come home to the unlocked door/lights on and no Lisa in the crib. After shaking DB awake, 'where's LISA???'...they see her on the floor, maybe hidden under a comforter or something. There seemed to be some discrepency about JI's arrival home time, and 911 call (30 minutes maybe??)...I see the two of them in a frantic scramble to think of a cover up, and hide Lisa's body....

then, hmmmm, I'm not sure....brother get's dragged into the mess to take Lisa's body away.....THOUGHTS???

Oh and one more comment. LE has been starving the parents of info about their daughter! What is LE supposed to do, show up on their doorstep every day and say "nope nothing yet!"

What kind of info are the parents wanting? To know what kind of things had "evidentary value" in their home?

Not sure how likely that is and until LE tells us more the brother could have played a part in this.

I respectfully disagree. If the police were not telling me what leads they had ruled in or out, where they were searching, and so forth, I would be beside myself - pretty much the way the mother is now.

Maybe I'm the only one on this forum, but Young has not impressed me at all. He seems to have a "hanging judge" mentality, and I've thought that from his first interview. He's a little too spit-and-polish, very cocky, very sure of himself and that he's "got his girl." There's a rapid-fire defensiveness to his answers. Basically, they are focusing on the mom because they can't find the guy walking with the baby. He's gone. She's here. Young wants his conviction; he wants to close this case. For him, a mom who drinks at night must be a murderer.

Well I know one thing's for sure. The heat's up in the house where the parents are staying tonight. You can take that to the bank. No need to light that furnace - its hot in there.

Wonder how this "bombshell" was taken? Is it all quiet or is it becoming louder and louder?

The pressure is on. LE tried to seal this warrant - they didn't want that info out there. But, now it is. And I'm pretty sure LE has eyes on the house where they are staying. Wonder what they've seen?

How do you know that the man/men walking with a baby during the night have not contacted LE, and they have been discounted as having any connection with baby Lisa's disappearance?????

Or heard. They are allowed to use listening devices right? PI's use them. Or is only FBI allowed to? Either way, I bet they are checking everywhere for a bug now. They shouldn't have quit communicating, to me that was a wrong move in order to find your baby. They should have stood up and beat the heat they were getting, if innocent. More so DB. jmo oh to be a mouse...

BBM. The mom in this case not only drank, she admitted she got wasted on the front stoop while children were alone inside. I can understand why Young would view such a person unfavorably. I do, too.

With respect, from what I have seen of DB, she's not beside herself about anything other than defending being plastered that night.

The press release means nothing at all to me. It was crafted by her defense lawyer, who is paid to shine the best possible light on the client.

Yep! That and limiting the initial search of the house to two rooms. Pretty transparent.

Add to that DB's initial comment when asked by LE if she checked the backyard:

"No, I'm afriad what I might find out there".

YOU WHAT? Oh my Lord, can you imagine the looks on those officer's faces when she said that? WOW....just wow.

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if those officers are volunteering overtime on this one.

Because if LE had been able to rule that out, they would say so. They would announce who the person was ("neighbor with a colicky baby, who's been cleared"), which is what they usually do. IIRC, they have specifically said they have not ruled it out.

This has been asked and answered several times on various threads. That's why it is still being raised. The fact that ANOTHER person has come forward is also strange, and LE has not ruled his sighting out.

Cadaver dogs hitting next to DB's bed is pretty telling, IMO.

I believe it is stated in one of the videos that Young is a media spokesman for LE not an investigator. He said he is not over the investigation.

I don't remember which video but I remember this because I also thought he was over the investigation and I questioned his mannerisms too.
