In the "church" of Scientology - which has pretty well been determined to be a cult - the wife of the leader of the church, Shelley Miscavige, has not been seen for around 7 years now. She was formerly active in the "church", acting as her husband David Miscavige's assistant. Then one day she just disappeared, never to be seen in public again. Nor was any explanation for this offered.

Numerous former members of $cientology who have escaped over the past few years have described being held in a guarded, windows-barred prisonlike building located on a church owned compound in rural California. These people were in top positions within the "church". The multi-acreage compound is surrounded by high fencing, has surveillance cameras and guards who patrol. And this is supposed to be a "church"!

So don't think it is too far-fetched to think this "church leader's" wife could not be being held somewhere against her will. She's sending texts? Yeah, right. Anybody could be writing texts and sending them out in her name.

In the case of Shelley Miscavige, television star Leah Remini who left $cientology this past summer and was a friend of Shelley's went to the police and filed a Missing Person report. Supposedly the police made contact with her to check on her welfare.

If someone suspects foul play surrounding Hope, they should make a police report. I am pretty sure that any parishioner could do this.

Interesting find. Apparently the iChurch has a chat session online for 30 minutes before the service.
" Welcome to Redemption iChurch!! Our chat is currently offline, but please join us for live services on Sunday, 10 am & 12:30 pm or Wednesday, 7 pm EST. Chat opens 30 minutes prior to each service. Blessings!"

Might be worth it to get on there and see what is said and how any dissenters or people who ask about Hope are dealt with.

I'm curious if the church has rules or a code of conduct for the Pastors. This could be what this is all about. The adultery story could be all fabricated in order to strip her from the church and any money associated with it.

I'm sure it does and it's not just for the Pastors. All church employees are usually bound by a moral code of conduct due to the fact they are a representation of the church.

Our church believes if a leader can't lead his home in a way that's pleasing to God, that leader is not fit to serve as a leader in the church.
^^ I think this is why Ron is acting 'shocked' and pretending to not have knowledge of Hopes alleged other life.

Heck, he won't even answer requests for prayers!

I wonder if Hope has properties and items of significant value that are in her name only which remain in good standing? By having her placed somewhere long-term (allegedly), along with his claims of her instability, he's laying groundwork to have her declared incompetent to maintain and manage such assets Wouldn't that be awfully convenient for him if it helped him get out of liens and holdings that may be in his name only? Also, if he has a life insurance policy out on her, I wonder what the suicide clause is?

It would seem very odd to me if he doesn't set aside any
of the service time for members/visitors to come forward and have a moment with him What past documented incidents call for a need for him to have body guards? Did Hope or his children have them?

Ron, the thought of your face makes my blood pressure rise!

Good question, I'm not into financial scamming so someone else may have an answer for you on that one..not that they scam but just may know more info on it.
I also wonder why someone would commit to a yr of treatment when their husband has already determined in less than 3 weeks into it that no matter how much better I get that he is not willing to take me back. Who does that? Seriously, if she got 100 percent better why would he not take her back? Doesn't make sense to me, no one is perfect, we all make mistakes.

Also every time I think about this whole situation that song by Tammy Wynette comes to mind "Satin Sheets" Don't know why.

I would be willing to bet Ron has someone scrub fb posts for him. He should toss that person a little more money and have them respond to at least some prayer request to give an appearance of giving half a d-. Then again, I guess he's raking it in either way so he doesn't need to.

Maybe Johnny Paycheck's Satin Sheets ditty fits Hope's mindset these past few years. ;)

I love Johnny Paycheck, forgot about him singing that song.
I would love Ron to answer a question for me. What is the unforgivable sin that a wife can do that is so bad she can't be taken back even if she goes to therapy and gets better, what is it?
I do not claim to be better than anyone, but I have managed to forgive some really bad sins and mean things that people have done to me. Even from the ole spouse, terrible horrible things. If he hadn't gotten help, gotten better no way would I have taken him back, but he did in fact get better etc.

Just reposting Hope's last tweet & the responses:

https://twitter.com/wohministry/status/386324718758154240

I have never been a "tweeter" but i am learning fast. I went over Hope's twitter and looked for friends and their responses before and after Hope disappeared. One friend was always tweeting to Hope, even called her #1 pastor or something like that (which I can't find now). But since Hope is gone? She does not even speak her name and gives all praise and glory to Ron quite profusely

BTY this person tweeted on the 9th of Oct to Hope that she was praying for her and her precious family. It went to Hope alone, not to Ron.

Particularly if he truly believes she did things as a result of being mentally unwell, not to mention undergoing a year of (cough cough) treatment If that doesn't show contrition and a want to change, wtfh does?
He has seemingly repeatedly marginalized his wife, made light of his foibles, all while holding her to a different standard. While it's seeming less and less likely he actually meets face to face with members, can you imagine trying to receive counsel from such a man? Particularly over something you already felt great guilt over? I wonder about any possible links between suicide and his congregants.

A 'plant', someone waiting in the wings for Hope to 'fall', or someone who's been scared into silence, either fearing for her own safety or fearing for Hope's?

I totally agree. I also know that my first husband had a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 problem which he blamed on his dad from when he was a youngster. We struggled in our relationship for yrs due to his problems. I know at one point his uncle who was also his boss said to me that he was really shocked that I had a problem with him looking at 🤬🤬🤬🤬 etc. I said why? He replied due to how I dressed so sexy all the time. I then told him that I had never owned even a bikini before I met my husband, nor would even wear shorts to the mall as I was that shy. I only wore those things because that is what he liked and would buy for me, or have me buy. He said OH..that makes sense now. I wonder if this isn't that same with Hope to some extent. My ex also and still is one who preaches to everyone else about God, but has yet to take the stick out of his own eye.

Struggling with mental health is no joke and no small task to get well and maintain your health. If Ron can look at this wife of all people, claim her actions to be tied to mental illness, yet have so little compassion, he truly is the hellbeast I first saw him to be. I do not mean to imply that mental illness is a blanket excuse for any and all actions, it certainly is a mitigating factor in our day to day actions, choices, behaviors, and interactions and clearly Ron has conceded this, he has pointed to her alleged mental illness(es) as the root of her actions driving him to send her away and refuse any consideration of reconciling.

I have no tolerance for people who lack all empathy or attempts to empathize with those suffering from mental illness (if in fact, she is, which I have no doubts she is facing numerous affects of his abusive behaviors, how deeply those stem and to what extent they are affecting her actions and what actions she's actually taken, we can't really know but damn him all to hell and back for being so callous (((as an aside, I don't believe in God, heaven, hell, Satan, etc, so I am coining a phrase))).

I applaud people who have faced mental illness and do what they need to in order to live healthy, functional lives (as much as is in their power to do so) and I weep for people who long for healing, who long to feel 'normal' and yet don't, CAN'T-- CAN'T so much to the point they wish they didn't exist. That level of mental illness is no sign of selfishness or weakness but I don't expect a self-ingratiated hellbeast like Ron to even begin to understand that.

I read over this the other night.
Sigh... definitely not what Christianity is about. Just another representation why so many turn away or are turned off. Very sad.
imho
