Add to that, he lives behind an elementary school... He's violating the distance a SO needs to be from a school. Yet State College officials let him free on unsecured bail...

He hasn't been convicted yet of being a SO.

Maybe he has a death wish? I mean, if McQueary is getting death threats, you know Sandusky's are much worse. Why would he be out in public? Of course, why would he rape a child in public... there's a thrill attached to it. (I had to delete my ending thought)

:furious:

I read (don't have a link though) that the McQ death threats were more because JoePa was fired - not that McQ did nothing when he saw a child being raped.

What has our country come to..when people throw beer, slap and cus at a man who is protesting against child abuse...WOW-Those people should be ashamed of themselves!!
I would never send my child to that school-ever!!!! Thats just me!!

Does McQueary have children? If so, I wonder how he can look them in the eye. And what about his wife (does he have one?)? If you learned that your husband walked away from a child being raped, would you ever be able to respect him again?

I read he has a 2 yo daughter.

Please don't bring religion into this discussion unless LE or MSM give reason to do so.

Thanks,

Again, to clarify in my mind: Who was it who had knowledge of the incident the janitor saw, in 1998, and ignored it for a 2nd time?

My understanding is Clahoun , the janitor, Witherite, his supervisor and Petrosky were the ones who know about the incident in 98'.. Do we know IF any of those men knew about the incident McQueary saw in the locker room showers?

I understand and do apologize for mentioning religious affiliations but MSM has definitely mentioned the similarities between these incidents involving Sandusky and what has been covered up by heirarchy within certain religious establishments....JMHO..

Have not caught up today, has it been discussed that the McQueary and Sandusky parents were friends as well as Mike M. and one of Sandusky's sons?
Mike M. was groomed for the Penn State program from a child.

When he walked in on this monster Sandusky, Mike M. having known him since childhood, was more than likely shocked to a point of disbelief. A point he will never forget and a point of not knowing what to do!! He called his Dad because Dad and Sandusky were friends, but why did Dad not tell MM to report the incident that night?

Here again, it breaks down to Dad's friendship with Monster and questioning within himself "but he's such a good guy and does so much for kids". Let Mike tell JoePa and the school will handle it. Pass the buck... MOO And not taking sides with MM. At 28, he knew it was wrong, and knew he was wrong to dismiss it!

I am not buying it. Both these guys were grown adults and the anger from the betrayal of a friendship by doing something like that right in front of the son of this guy should have ruled.

I think it is far more likely this shower room story and the dad being called is the watered down version cooked up between the two.

I think some part of this story got leaked to a wife or other family member and they were the ones that led the GJ in this direction.

I keep thinking McQueary's dad was called because he is a Dr. and the little boy was hurt.

I did not realize MMc's dad was a physician.. Don't know WHY but I was under the impression he was being referred to as Dr. because he perhaps had a Phd..

Omgosh I just realized what you are saying! My brain is havin such a hard time w/ the reported scene. I can't even think about it being worse and so much so that it was better to say someone witnessed anal rape of a boy because that's the lesser of 2 evils. of course it's a possibility. of course.

One of the first things I asked myself was why didn't this Dr McQueary call the police like I am sure the law says he has to.

Was he under some kind of contract with the school and that is why he went to Paterno's house with his son to report it to a "higher up"?

Are the statue of limitations up now in Pa for reporting child abuse and that is why the Dr. is not being charged? Or is he not being charged because he is testifying against the other two and the fact they went to Paterno and told the story?

Why does Doc still have his license?

.......... adding here, Mikes dad is not a Dr. he is a Physician Assistant.

Well now I am wondering is this his dad?

Hall of Fame Inductee: John J. McQueary, PA

John McQueary

Chief Operating Officer/Administrative Director
Centre Medical and Surgical Associates, P.C.
State College, Pennsylvania

While working to build the Physician Assistant Program at Duke, John also pioneered the physician assistant concept at the national level. He organized the first meeting of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and served as President of the American Academy of Physician Assistants for two terms (1970-1972). During his tenure, the first Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants was published, and he established the first student chapters at Duke and Alderson-Broaddus College in West Virginia. John was instrumental in organizing the first national conference for physician assistants and in promoting the PA concept to groups such as the American Group Practice Association and the American Medical Association. John served as President of the National Renal Administrators Association (1981-82) and is recognized as a founding leader of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

"It's not that he's not willing," his father, John J. McQueary, told the New York Times. "I think it's eating him up not to be able to tell his side, but he's under investigation by the grand jury. He'll make it. He's a tough kid."

I hope Duke puts some little note in this Physician Assistant's Hall of Fame Inductee file or on his brass plaque he learned about a little boy getting raped and never called the police and never went to the aid of the little boy.

That's State College police, not campus police, even though both departments have the same power. 12/7 is the next court date. I'll look at where court will be held, I'm hoping not in Bellefont. I think it's going to be the state prosecuting.

As for why he's out... Yeah. The best legal system in the world also has the biggest flaws. I hate to say it in so detailed words but my "Go Higher" isn't working. Government and government agencies, not only in Centre County are corrupt. This is going to involve a whole lot of big names when all is said and done.

Duh, I just realized that State College is the actual name of the city. So this is the city that encompasses Penn State? Do they have jurisdiction over the campus police or are they considered equal but seperate entities?

Is the next hearing a prelim? And then does the court decides if there's enough for trial or is that part null and void since the GJ indicted and then the next court date would be to set date for trial?

TIA

Agree. Why are they giving him the benefit of the doubt? It's in their hands now. Shouldn't the legal system have the moral obligation to keep him away kids, knowing he lives in close proximity to an elementary school? He has access to children being free. They are not fulfilling their obligation. :furious:

The police are separate but equal.

Aha! You're on to something. The city and the university are intermingled. This perv was seen on the streets of his town, not on university property last week. There is NO distinction, no separation. To keep him off campus, they'd have to have to make him move out of State College. You can't make an "innocent until proven guilty" monster move.

Will look into the hearing stuff.

Due to the massive amount of child abuse at an institution not to be named here, the statue of limitations on child abuse was extended from 7years... the statute of limitations is now until the victim is 50.

That is why it is all on the judge for releasing him on no bail.

You have an accused predator, high risk of being murdered or committing suicide which are perfect reasons for not giving bail since that means the person will not show up for court. And yet this judge releases him and does not make him pay a penny to get out.

His bail was 100k but he did not have to pay it and will not unless he does not show up for court.
