Public viewing announced for Paterno

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Paterno family has announced arrangements for former Penn State University head football coach Joe Paterno, who died Sunday morning at 85.
A public viewing will be held from 1 to 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on Penn State's University Park campus. A second public viewing is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, with a private family funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
A public memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The family requests that donations be made to the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania or the Penn State THON (The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon).

To honor Mr. Paterno's life, Gov. Tom Corbett ordered Pennsylvania flags across the commonwealth to half-staff until sunset Thursday.
The order includes flags at the Capitol and at other commonwealth-controlled buildings and offices throughout Pennsylvania.
