Anyone watching GVS? If so, has she reported on Joran? Sorry to ask, I am recording it but cannot bear to watch anything politics at the moment...BP and the Obama administration have my blood boiling over!
Thanks in advance and I am sorry for going a bit off topic.

lol, please disregard my question as several of you have already posted about GVS.

But he killed the daughter of a powerful man. She was referred to as the "queen" of the family per one of her brothers. She's the only female in the family (with 4 brothers and her dad). Even if it would not be her father or brothers who orders a hit or a beatdown on JVDS, I have a really strong feeling that someone from her extended family or family acquaintances would. Especially on how gruesomely Stephany was killed.

In most South American countries, like most Southeast Asian countries and other developing countries, money talks. The powerful and rich can make a whole family disappear. It's sad, but true.
those are exactly what the xpresident was charged for, disappearing people and murder of business men, he got 25 years.
And the xpresidents daughter is planning on running, i guess for president, in 2011. i am digging in my mind here as i read this a few days ago.

GVS panel all agree that FBI should have arrested Joran before he left Aruba.

greta had good information, joran elbowed stephany in the face, etc. and that joran had lent stephany some money and they went to the room to divide the winnings.
i hope someone else caught more of that.

I just don't know what to believe about reports we're hearing, we hear so many variations. It seems unlikely that he would be having steak and cigarettes, doesn't it? Why would he and why would that particular information be released?
About his confession, we still haven't seen any video of him confessing, have we? We've only heard reports about what he supposedly said? It seems so odd that he would offer a confession that seems to tie up every little detail for police like that one did. Why would he? But who knows? He does seem to have a problem of just telling stories, so who knows. Or of course he might not have said any of it, or he might have said it but under duress. I guess we don't know yet (or may never know).

Does anyone have the video of him being physically examined with his shirt off? Anyone spot any fingernail scratches? I just got a fleeting glimpse of the video on TV yesterday.

The steak and cigerettes could be made up.

It could be a technique they are using to make him feel chatty and comfortable.

There all sorts of reasons it could be going on.
If it is going on at all.
And if it is it will be short lived.

It will also go to show the prisoner was treated well (ie not coerced or tortured).

There were no reported scratches on JVDS chest or arms. (I think he pushed her to her kness and grabbed her in a head lock and simply snapped her neck). There was a reported bruise on one of his knees. Maybe she kicked him?

And another poster suggested, her hair is straightened when she arrives at casino. The photo of the body shows her hair has her natural wave again. Either she took a shower, or the twisting of hair up with the hairband put the wave back in.

Did they say that the United States FBI can legally do that in another country?

GVS on Fox
Dan Collyns in Peru reporting:
Joran saying he knows where NH body is and is willing to help find her. At this stage Peru is not helping Aruba with NH investigation because they are tied up with their own investigation. This info was obtained during investigation and Peru will help Aruba later.
Peru police believes they met before. He had been observing her. She won $10,000 the week before and Joran selected her as his victim. They went to room to split up winnings from that night. Savage beating, elbowed her in face, knocked her unconscious, hit her head against the wall causing brain hemorrhage, strangled her. (paraphrasing) I couldn't understand the last part because the connection was cutting out but this reporter was giving a lot of info)

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is just that an Investigation team they do not write warrants they do enforce warrents...They investigate and turn that over to the other agents to decide if they are going to file charges....For a extortion case they do not get on planes and follow someone around the world to catch them...If a warrant is issued then Interpol would be the one to arrest the person and then the extradition would start....I really wish fox would get off the high horses about the FBI, if we had a republic president they would not even question the FBI's actions..

The FBI has no jurisdiction in Aruba.

All three attorneys on GVS said that FBI could have had him detained. They said FBI dropped the ball.

The FBI has no jurisdiction in Aruba.

The FBI doesn't have the authority to arrest anyone. As I understand it, the US has no jurisdiction and would have to either extradite him or wait for him to be on US soil. BUT, the Aruban authorities could have detained him. I'm not of how long they could have detained him at this point, but a minimum of 30 days (I think).
