I have never seen a person walk the way Stephany did... what is that?

I think it all has to do with the video. It's slower then seeing it in person on actually movie quality video and speed. I think they have their speed slower because of the dealer dealing card, money exchanges etc at the card table.

JeanC: officials have not told us (newspapers saying it) that his tox reports showed cocaine

NG: asking Jean C what the local response is to Joran possibly being out of prison in less than 10 yrs. A local reporter is saying he's not well received in the country.

JeanC: re eating Danish - Nancy, you've seen the newspaper headlines - it's a state of mind here

NG: Jean C. talking about the private attorney retained two nights ago at 10pm and she believes someone must be paying him since he's private.

JeanC: authorities will not tell us whether his Mother is here (prior to today, they told us she was coming); what does that tell us? - tells us he now has a private attorney

Hi everyone! I'm sorry that I am just now able to get onto this thread today. For me it is a little after 2 PM.

Can someone just give me a quick update on the happenings since this morning with JVDS? Any formal charges as of yet?

Thank you in advance, I will go back and read the thread but I'm impatient to know :)

Its nice to finally see beautiful Stephany being herself. That bubbly girl in the casino is certainly different than the girl we see walking into the room.

I was wondering if the position of Stephany's body had been confirmed. Earlier it was reported on tv that her legs were pulled up. If this is true then it's possible that Joran had placed her into the suitcase during his original plan, rigormortis had set in, afterward he changed his mind and decided to leave her in the room, and then repositioned her on the floor.

Thanks for posting this possibility...I have been wondering...IF...the reason Stephany's pants were off....Joran...TOOK them off...after she died..(for what reason..I don't know)..It was always ODD to me..she was in his room..with her pants off..(IF NO SEX)...

My theory on her pants being off ...is...Perhaps she took a shower and was dressing when he returned....OR...he removed them...AFTER she died...

The Medical examiner will be able to tell IF she was moved..after she died....and why?????

Has it been determined if she was sexually assaulted or not?

Kat he's in a cell at the prosecutor's office. The pros has until 10am pacific tomorrow to lay a charge otherwise he'll have to be set free. I somehow think they'll make the deadline!:D

The only place that I heard that her legs were up was on Nancy's show. The picture posted last night showed that she was wrapped in the bedspread from the bed, laying on her stomach, if I recall that graphic picture correctly.

We've heard he went for bread and coffe, ate 3 cakes and now suddenly it's danish (according to Nancy).

And Aruba could have detained Joran before he left the country and we might have him on wire fraud charges and Stephany alive and well.

You can't predict the future.

I am sure Beth is feeling plenty of guilt about letting her daughter go to Aruba, about not being able to prosecute her killer and the people who helped him, and now having any actions that may have put Joran and Stephany on a path to meet.

I am not going to jump on her for trying to get him off the streets.
No one else was doing anything.
I am not going to condemn her for not being psychic and write off the guilt of everyone else that has been involved in this five year run of Joran.

Had Aruba convicted him, his father turned him in, or any of the others that know the truth been honest anywhere along those five years Beth wouldn't have been put in the situation of playing lets make a deal with the devil himself.

You're so right, no one else was doing anything and if it hadn't been for Beth fighting to keep Natalee's case in the spotlight all these years, VDS might have slipped through the cracks yet again.

She knew he killed her daughter but I wonder if she had a clue as to how dangerous he really was? She may have believed he was a stupid kid who made a mistake and was helped in a cover-up, but never have imagined how bad he really is, or that he would go on to murder another young girl.

In that instance, I believe JeanC was referring to the bread, biscuits, Danish (perhaps, pastry-type breakfast) that many of the Peruvian newspapers claim he ate that morning. Jean was trying to illustrate the possible rumors in the papers due to hatred of him, conviction of him in the Peruvian papers.
