Carefully watch the Today Show video when they show the pieces of email exchanges.

I have always thought there was another email from JQK to Joran after Joran stated he lied to JQK.

The last email exchanges was on 5/25/10 FIVE days before the FIFTH anniversary of Natalie's disappearance.

Based on all that I have read, with the piece of the puzzle that has been missing for me, to put the death of Stephany as just not a coincidence that it happened on the same day to it being "meant" to happen on the same day.

Thanks for the links everybody. The coffee video tells it all. I too think he did not "leave" for coffee, just came out of the room to make it look like he was coming back with some. I think she was dead long enough for him to have showered and changed before this show. Or else why would the camera not have recorded him going out?

Perhaps someone can find a previous Peruvian story (badly translated) that I read earlier that appears to say that VDS planned on packing the body in his suitcase (I thought it even implied that he HAD put her inside one and then taken her out) and taking the body out of the motel, but changed his mind when he realized that if the front desk saw him leaving with luggage that they would ask him to pay for the nights he owed? I can't remember where I read it, but it was badly translated.

It is pretty clear in the video that he fumbles in closing the door, fails to shut it completely, starts knocking, then realizes he hasn't shut the door. Shuts the door, jiggles the handle, then knocks some more. All while holding 2 obviously empty coffee cups and a plastic-wrapped food item. All in front of a security camera.

Epic fail. The guy is whacked.

Something that probably has nothing to do with anything, but that I find odd... she was supposedly on her period- wasn't there mention of a sanitary napkin?- yet she'd been playing in the casino until 5 in the morning with nothing other than a small coin/bill sized purse? Where the heck was she stashing her tampons/pads? The pants she was wearing looked awfully tight. Maybe it's just a girl things, but I can't help wondering how she pulled that off. I'm pretty sure if I was on my period, been up all night with no supplies and a tiny purse, I'd want to shower right away- maybe that's why she was only in her underwear when he got back with the coffee... because she'd just showered?

Just my thoughts.

I don't think that scenario makes sense. Why couldn't he pay the bill? We are told Stephany had just won a lot of money and these money were missing. Seems like he should have had enough to pay the hotel bill.
Personally I think the body wouldn't fit in a suitcase.

At some point he did get coffee because how else would he get two cups? On the video of him going to his room he did not carry the cups as far as I can tell.

is the "bread" actually the plastic wrapped biscuit thing i keep reading about? when i read bread i think of a loaf of bread...but there is no kitchenette or toaster or anything? so, this unrecorded footage could mean from the mini-mart? i hadnt thought of that...well, it was reported that the mini-mart didnt serve coffee until 9a.m. ? i would think that the hotel would have coffee available somewhere (most do earlier than 9a.m.) .... just pondering...

At time mark 2:32 in the video is that a long 'scratch' on JVDS's shoulder which the tech is holding a measuring instrument just above it in order to document the length of it??? Also, please note JVDS's eyes rolled upwards at 2:32 as if in 'disgust' with this documentation video...

At some point he did get coffee because how else would he get two cups? On the video of him going to his room he did not carry the cups as far as I can tell.

There could have been a coffee maker with 2 cups in the room. I think that was discussed in an earlier thread.

I wonder why he was using the alias, "J.P. Sanders"? Also on that e-mail from 5/25/10, Joran states that he "will hear from you (John Kelly) tomorrow.

When was their last communication?

OOPS...I got caught in the closing of the thread...

That little knuckle type knocking is common went you know someone is awake in the room. I think he did because he was hoping that it would draw the attention to him of trying to gain entrance into the room. He probably hoped a cleaning maid or someone else close by in one of the halls that could hear him pretending to get into the room.

I agree. IMO he was looking around to see if anyone was going to come and then he could put on his act. He was going to, IMO, say OMG, my girlfriend is in there and is not answering the door, I forgot my key, I can't get in, help! Then when no one appeared, he decided to go get someone to let him in, but then he notices the camera and has to drop his brilliant plan. At that point, IMO he really is locked out so he has to risk getting someone to let him in. To me the doorway looks very narrow, so there's a chance the maid won't see inside the room very well.

It would really be hilarious if it weren't so sad, seeing him standing there trying to figure out whether or not to close the door and lock himself out of the room, weakly knocking at the door trying to decide how to spin it, etc. IMO this is the real JVDS that he tries to hide the rest of the time. He didn't know he was being filmed, IMO.

Well, admittedly I've never murdered anyone. I also haven't known anybody who murdered anyone. Perhaps I'm not any more of an expert than anyone else here.

However, I do think that, if I was crazy and/or evil enough to kill somebody in my hotel room, I wouldn't purposefully go and get a hotel worker to open up the door for me. Especially when the room is so small, and everything almost certainly could be seen from the doorway.

But, as I noted, I interpret it with the bias that Joran was framed.

Really, you think he was framed in Aruba? Do you think this Peru thing is another framing? Respectfully, IMO that's an awful lot of framing. Even if you think he was framed in Aruba only, that's a lot of trouble to go through to "get" a previously unknown 17YO cad/liar. For what purpose? Why bother? What does it get BH to do this if she doesn't really believe JVDS is the one who killed Natalee? I guess you are not going to answer those questions since you're writing a book, so I guess I'm not sure why you are bringing it up, honestly. Really I mean no disrespect and am not trying to tell you not to post here, I just don't see the point since you are not really interested in an all-out debate.

This video could explain why her body was between the wall and the bed. Joran may have moved it in case the hotel employee who opened the door looked in.

I certainly hope we get to see the rest of the coffee video...him leaving the room to go to get it. I'll be a little questioning--- if we don't. I want to see what shirt he has on. Also would solidify the timeline.

I have to wonder if the cups weren't just old from him before. He'd been staying in that room for awhile before this occurred, so perhaps he's just a slob and they were left from previous trips he's made. He didn't necessarily have to have fetched them that morning IMO.
