He has the keys in his hand. He locked the door when he came out. Did anyone else see this? If this has been talked about while I was sleeping..sorry.

My take on having the keys in his hand was "his original plan was to get rid of the two cups of coffee", however someone showed up out of camera view, which made him turn around and knock on the door so the person inside would let him in.

Now he has to go to the next plan since he was already seen knocking on the door so he gets the desk clerk to open the door for him, perhaps in hope the desk clerk would see Stephany and then Joran claim "she was alive when I went for the coffee".

Yep. Echos of Casey Anthony wanting to get permission to go out of the area to "search" for Caylee. He wants to get out of the country. He can Skype Aruba for God's sake if that was is real purpose. This isn't the pony express days.

Don't forget that JVDS is a gambler.. he's been playing since he was a teenager. He is going to play that hand until he is sent back to Aruba. What happens if he says that he will not say a word unless he is sent back home? What will Peru do?

ok, maybe I didn't misunderstand, lol.

The police report also notes that the case has said that the Dutchman will be released to the Aruban authorities the whereabouts of Natalee Holloway.

Sometimes the translations seem backazzwards, lol.

I hope to God it really means that he will release to Peruvian authorities or Aruba authorities info on Natalees whereabouts, not that he will be released to Aruba, which I can't even imagine could be true. If he's released to Aruba, he could very well be in danger for his life. JMO. Daddies not there to protect him anymore.

I think they changed the article or something? I don't see anything there about that?

Whew, I don't see it either. Think my blood pressure skyrocketed and I went ghostly white on that one.

Will watch it again and again, but i'm not seeing the keys in his hand yet. I see him partly close the door...seem to think twice about what he is about to do, then close the door tight. After that it looks like the bun/danish in his hand. I could be missing it though, and maybe the key is hiding under the danish.

Why didn't he get a flight to some territory of the Netherlands? When he fled by car, why didn;t he drive directly to some territory of the Netherlands? Why didn;t he just take Stephanys car and go, go go as fast as he could to some place like a territory of the Netherlands? he appears to have not been thinking clearly at all. What, I wonder, was he looking up on his laptop during the taxi ride he paid so much money for (the one with the two brothers driving)?

abbie

apparently he first went directly to the airport but saw police and it scared him away

I wonder if it was then that he revealed that he was on the run and promised these people money etc. if they would take him

the laptop - maybe he was trying to delete evidence? not sure ...

I couldn't find it either, but if that's how it was translated I think they're talking about info on NH being released.

wonder where Joran got the alias J.P. Sanders from?

hmmm, interesting ...

IMO, the J is for Joran, the P is his middle initial (forgot the name), the S is either for "Sloot" or if he has an additional middle name beginning with S, and the "anders" is for "van der sloot"

Yes, that link did not go directly to the correct story. You have to click at the top of the story where it reads JVDS Events and there are a list of articles... this one is quoted in the story about murder and robbery...

Under the story: The mobile police handled the case Joran van der Sloot: robbery and violent reaction

And we know what "violent reaction" means... ie work of a psychopath... I bet Peru has a lot of reoffenders in this case because the time served looks pretty light...

Hoping he doesn't last very long under those conditions...

Peru is not going to release him! No way. Not with the seriousness and heinousness of this crime. Not to mention the victim is the daughter of a high ranking Peru citizen, a VIP.

Nope. JVDS is going to face the music in Peru first.

Despite what any articles might suggest, he's not leaving Peru a free man.

In this article, it states that Stephany Flores' father owns the casino... ??? Is this true?

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/0...d-espresso-near-peru-womans-mutilated-corpse/

I heard that too but you would think a bigger deal would have been made of that fact, everywhere I read about him hes listed as a circus promoter, what does that translate to in American terms? Like a Ringling Brothers circus, or is circus translated into something like entertainment/ casino owner perhaps? I rarely see references to his political connection.

It looks to me like he locks the door with the key then puts in his his pocket before he closes it all the way.

Ok, let's think about it. Why would Joran admit where NH is if that can be used against him not only in Aruba, in the US for the Holloway family, and possibly for a longer sentence in Peru? His attorney in Peru is trying to get EVERYTHING tossed out. So, I doubt any telling where NH is will happen, and doubt Peru will release him to Aruba. Peru has their own murder to deal with.

I agree 100% but let's give Joran and A for effort.
