While you guys are transcribing Geraldo, I'll post this snip from the Miami Hearald.
The article speaks of his gambling in Macau. JVDS certainly knows where to troll for victims with money. He works the circuit. This article is interesting; demonstrates that he could care less about what people think/believe about the Aruba murder. So much for being overly sensitive to SFlores' intrusion into his private life related to Aruba.

snip:
Noah Acre was playing Texas hold 'em in the Asia Pacific Poker Tour in Macau in 2009 when he saw van der Sloot sitting across the table. Recognizing the tall Dutchman from the round-the-clock television coverage that the Holloway case generated, he recalls van der Sloot did not seem shy about his notoriety. He wore a loud, multicolored jacket with the logo of L.A. Café -- a seedy Manila bar and brothel -- and was surrounded by an entourage of young men. Acre asked van der Sloot why he kept dealing with the media after being burned by a Dutch journalist who released hidden-camera footage that seemed to show him confessing to disposing of Holloway's body. "Because they gave me money,'' he responded."

Another snip:
"I am pretty good at sizing people up quickly,'' Acre said of the man he spoke to several times during the week-long tournament. "He seemed like all he cared about was partying and getting girls. The whole Natalee Holloway thing didn't seem to weigh on him one bit.''

So here is another place, where they should plaster his picture, and news about this recent murder:
1. L.A. Café -- a seedy Manila bar and brothel
2. Macau hotels that hosted the 2009 Asian Poker Tour

On GVS last night they said that it could be months before it goes to trial. He's in a single cell to protect him from the others and they didn't think he'd be integrated for quite some time. If he's convicted, he goes right back in (but I'm not sure they'll keep him in PC). This was from a reporter from Lima on GVS. He said he "was in for a rough ride".

From what I have read, the delay in trials is due to the ratio of public defenders(low) versus charged offenders(high). With Joran having a private attorney( paid by the Van der Sloot family) the delay should not be that long IMO. Besides, I suspect the Peruvians probably want to do this fast track and show case their judicial system.

Can't wait to see what is on the computer...

On HLN yesterday, either NG or JVM show, it was said that Joran's computer had not been searched, that in order to search it a court order will have to be presented to a judge. The judge would make the decision whether to grant the request to search Joran's computer.

Geraldo: in Aruba now discussing the night Natalee disappeared, with Craig talking to someone who saw Joran without his shoes and a Jeep with a white top. The man is describing a middle-aged man driving the Jeep and Joran sitting next to him. The man is saying he didn't come forward because he was concerned, afraid, because of the two security guards initially wrongly accused. Craig says his "witness" originally came forward in 2008, LE didn't believe him, so he went to Tim Miller and took a polygraph with "no deception" noted. Witness hasn't received any money.

More on Joran later.

I think the pond near the home of this witness is the one Tim Miller is searching in Aruba now.

I think it's the ancient language of psychopathy and translated it means, "I am a proud murderer".

:waitasec:

Per posts on page 17 and 18 of this thread it means, no worries, it will be all right. A Thai phrase.

You are absolutely correct...I spent my entire afternoon :blushing: watching videos on youtube about prison systems in South America...prisoners often are held longer pre-trial then their original sentence would have been...they must have money to get out of prison...they often do not even know who their public defender is until the moment of trial...some prisoners even complained that their defender fell asleep during trial!!! That's some kind of justice system, YIKES!
(There is co. or a man (?) that posts videos under the name 'Journeyman productions' and he has some amazing footage inside their prison systems.)

I think all of Joran's "jobs" have been illegal... MOO

Earlier today on this thread #444, I posted a video of the wine-tossing incident, with English subtitles, where Joran said he "couldn't control" himself.

Thank you, FLNY! I'm trying to catch up on today's posts now.

Just caught up after several pages and I'm confused on the coffee issue. Has there been another video released of JVS leaving the room without coffee and coming back with coffee?

Just yesterday or the day before, I either read this or heard it on the radio...... that Joran's mother DID NOT go to Peru because she is involved with the school working at this time. She did talk to Joran by phone for about 20 minutes though.

I am sorry that I can not link to this. There has been such massive info on this case that it is very difficult to keep up and continue with the responsibilities of my daily life.

She might have been advised by the Dutch Embassy to stay out of Peru for the moment. Joran was not on good terms with his family anymore apparently. Who knows, Anita might hold him partially responsible for Paulus' premature death.
The securing of attorney Maximo Altez for Jordan, could have been handled by the Dutch Embassy with Anita paying his fee.

I believe if Geraldo does go to Peru, namely Castro Castro for an interview we will all be notified at least a month in advance, and every day until then. Ratings my dear friends, lol! I would love to see GVS head down there and have a visit with him as she already has a rapport with him.

I'm still praying for a miracle :prayer: but wasn't this pond already searched years ago? Or am I thinking of another one? :waitasec:

I don't know. Apparentely it was needed to arrest him. I would think that for the sake of his trial that they will seek to use his computer for possible evidence. However that has not been stated that I know of, JMO.

If there were to be coverage of the prison, I'd rather see Geraldo. He doesn't like Joran. ;)

I think they have enough evidence with out knowing what is on the computer, so there was no hurry for that info.
