According to this article, VDS owned a coffee shop in Thailand from some point in 2008 or later until early this year when he sold it...which contradicts his confession in which he makes it sound as though he still owns it and has for 2.5 years.

So says the young Thai woman who, with her American boyfriend, bought the cafe from him early this year...'I looked at the documents and balance sheets he left. Many items just look wrong.'."

Now I just stumbled across two You Tube videos showing this cafe and to my surprise (shock) they were posted by him, under one of his web aliases of 'AUAJORANBKK'. It appears he set up this cafe from scratch, so he must have had a some funds back then.

This led me to his You Tube channel:

If you scroll down from the video, you can find out lots about him from his Profile. It says he last accessed this site 'two weeks ago'. I don't know how precise that is, but 2 wks. ago from today is May 31....the day after the murder, when he was on the run!!

There are also recent comments posted by others, some for and some against him.

Then if you look at his 'Favorites', many are music videos with titles like 'Fear', 'Killer', 'Money To Blow', 'Women Lie Men Lie'.

I have to tell you that just finding this website, created by him, was very eerie and somewhat chilling.

I remember that too. Did you all see the video I put up of the shop, it was video of them getting ready to open it, then shots of what the interior was like once it was open, a few shots of the waitresses, and a shot of Joran with a bunch of other people? Now when I try to find it with google, its gone.

That may not be as good as it sounds, since he's in this security unit with only 2 other prisoners....and one of them is a hitman...a paid assassin!!!

I rank that as one of the single best questions or suggestions regarding a motive in the Holloway case I have ever heard. Especially in light of what we know about Joran now, his obsession almost with money. I think he exhibited it then, its just that most of us didn't know him and didn't recognize it.

Here's a possible scenario: At the club that night, Joran sees that Natalee still has money, slips her the date-rape drug in her drink, and later robs her, knowing that she won't remember anything about the event. He may or may not have attempted to rape her. She goes into convulsions from a misjudged overdose of the drug and dies. Or she may have resisted and he flew into a rage and beat her to death a la Stephanie. The ocean is a convenient disposal site for the body and sharks and other marine animals would dispose of the remains within a short time. I've watched crabs attack the bodies of large fish and bones would present no problem, assuming the sharks known to inhabit Aruba's coastal water left anything for the crabs.

Makes me wonder how many other young women he may have drugged, robbed and possibly raped before Natalee?

What a nice shop he had. Did he do it himself, or was it a joint venture w/ others, I wonder? Such attention to detail, just doesn't "gel" with the Joran I have in my mind. Flowers, nice places to sit. Its amazing he didn't do well with that place. Maybe he's a bad businessman, or let his gambling addiction get in the way of running his business. He was really quite a chameleon, huh?

If he's telling the truth, JVS says in his confession that he removed the pants after she was dead. It's my belief that he did it to stage an attempted rape (by someone else).

HLN reports JVS is being fed the same meals as provided to the guards, not to risk the chance of deliberate poisoning.
