BBM ~ I'm curious if the computer in Stephany's room was a laptop or a desktop. During the GVS interview her sil said that after the family returned from viewing the video at the casino, she went up to Stephany's room and turned on her computer to google Joran's name. She let out a scream from the second floor room when she saw all the stuff that came up about him in the connection to the disappearance/death of NH.

If SF had a desktop she may have wanted a mobile laptop. Maybe she mentioned this to Joran who used this excuse to bring her to his room, that is, I'll let you look at my laptop as I really like it - suggest you buy one like this, the brand, etc. :waitasec:

On the Ricardo Sr interviews he says all the bedrooms in his home have computers, but only Ricardo Jr has a laptop. Not sure which of the 9 it's on but its there.

NG: playing snippets of Joran's confession: "I have no idea" "I don't remember", etc.

Caller talking about Joran wanting to reveal Natalee's location, basically saying he's a psychopathic liar.

Ray Guidice: Joran wants to make a sweetheart deal. NG says it will be a cold day in H before that happens. Another guest saying there is no prisoner transfer treaty between Peru & Aruba so he will be serving his sentence there in Peru.

NG back to the coffee video, noticing he comes out of the door with the coffee, then knocks on the door, etc. Jean C. noticing there's only one piece of bread with the two cups, and saying in the confession Joran admits he didn't know why he did that (with the coffee and door).

What's this about a possible plea deal if he gives info about Natalee Holloway's body location ? Just saw it on NG.

I hope someone calls in and asks how did it get the coffee in the room in the first place? Yup, still looking for that video.

(respectfully snipped some)

I cannot believe the audacity of this guy...but in watching him for these past 5 years, I shouldn't be surprised.

I'm guessing that he really thinks he will get this deal and be able to serve out time in Aruba first and then the US before he even has to think about Peru. Or perhaps he thinks he will never have to go back to Peru at all.

I don't think he will leave Peru in the near future at all.

In his wildest dreams, imo.

Ok, what did I miss?

I think, this is what Nancy is thinking, Joran is thinking. Peru and Aruba only just spoke today via the phone.

NG: showing more video of Castro Castro. Now back to Jean about lab results on Stephany, pill wrappers found in her car, question during interrogation about amphetamines. Guest doctor saying GHB would still be in her system.

Back to a reporter about the prison, talking about Joran being kept in high security area, watching tv with the Colombian hitman, getting food that jail staff eats, reporter saying if a person isn't from the area and eats regular food that natives eat they will get ill.

I find it so interesting that Joran has been diagnosed by the online experts in the past few days as being the following a:

sociopath
psychopath
anti-social personality
gambling addict
alcoholic

and so on....

I read one guys opinion who said he was a sociopathic, psychopathic, anti-social predator....

But a BAD one.

I can't help but think that Freud would have wanted to analyze this guy...

Did JVDS "want" to get caught?
Hi CarmelEyesD. Well, your son may indeed be correct.
I tend to think that no one, really wants to get caught. Ever.

I do think that over time, people like JVDS (and many other cases), get sloppy. They are over confident, due to their success in getting away with stuff in the past. They think they are smarter than everyone else.

Fast forward in time, and the task of constantly conjuring up lies, and connecting dots where there are none, is tiring. Being constantly on the prowl for a victim (of a scam, internet fraud, theft - you name it), can be tiring. He might resort to "short cuts". Short cuts that got him caught.

JVDS under estimated Peruvian National Police's B.S. radar.
And he get caught.

Great term, and I agree!

NG: talking to Stephany's brother Enrique via phone. She's asking how family is dealing with all of this. He's saying every day is very difficult. She wants to know if the family would consider a plea deal if Joran would agree to truthfully solve Natalee's case. He says he would be happy if Natalee's body was found, but our sister is never coming back and we don't want this person (Joran) to ever be free.

Nancy's on talking about Joran. :)

Defense attorney quits.

Photos of Castro Castro prison.

Joran: will give up location of Natalee's body to get back to Aruba.

That is really pathetic. He ain't going back to Aruba until he finishes his hopefully long sentence in Peru. Aruba knows this and their cover up by the good ol' boys club cronies are probably thankful for this. Especially if the body is not where Joran thinks it is.

What amazes me is that all the experts are doing this online. At least Freud would have sat down face to face.

and to add to Panthera's post: they just want JVDS off the street, they don't care if he's in the US, here (Peru), or Aruba, as long as he is.

NG: talking to Rupa about the Aruban authorities coming to Peru. NG asks where Anita is. Rupa saying she's in Aruba, needs money to go to Peru. New attorney will be hired but Rupa doesn't know his name yet. Jean C. talking about other attorney quitting because of threats.

Joran's mom needs funds to go to Peru & hire a "proper" atty for him.

US can try JVDS for MH's murder, we get the next shot at JVDS. We can try him on the extortion charges.

Actually at this point, isn't Aruba better off with Joran in Peru? It would seem to me that the only danger for Aruba is if Joran knows the names of the people involved in the cover up in Aruba, the extent of the cover-up for Natalie's death, and starts talking. I would think Aruban officials are keeping their fingers crossed that someone knocks JVDS off, thereby eliminating their problems. End of JVDS, end of Aruban problems. It seems to me Aruba gains nothing by getting Joran to Aruban soil unless they plan to knock him off to shut him up.

I have thought the same thing. With Paulus dead, it would seem that Joran would be a loose end that needed taking care of. Especially since he continues to confess to Natalee's murder. He does it for money but by doing so he keeps the case in the media and in people's memories.
