The three gourmands of Castro Castro, JVDS, Luis Valdez, and Trujillo Ospina...sitting together with their little tv trays in front of them, each giving their critique of the evening meal.

Wonder what they are watching on TV together? Soccer? And they're betting on the game, no doubt. Winner gets the last of the toilet tissue.

Can't help it. Today's events, with the Aruba attorney flying in, etc. is driving me crazy.

In my mind, the "mayor" doesn't fit in with the hitman and Joran. I can't quite envision him in the group. MOO

Probably they are talking about JVDS having removed SF's pants and shoes. "Attracted" is probably some kind of mistranslation for "removed." He's saying he removed them and doesn't know why and thinks it was after he killed her.

Notice he always ends everything with he doesn't know why & he wasn't thinking...I agree with Pat Miller as to why her pants were off.

I confess I just did too and I take back my previous comment!!! I hadn't realized his name until reading it here tonight and after Googling, it seems he's more than a mayor who launders money. MOO

I think Joran thinks on his feet. Maybe he just wanted to establish that he was away from the room for a short time and not have the hotel employee see the body. Maybe he was hoping that the camera did not work or was just a fake. It was after all a rinky dink hotel and who would suspect fairly sophisticated working equipment in that place and that they even kept recordings for multiple days.
He could claim later that he was afraid of being accused of the murder and therefor fled. Reason, he was previously suspected erroneously(yeah,right) in the Natalee disappearance. Just remember , he was the son of an attorney with an interest in criminology. He had to remove himself from the crime scene for a short time in order to put the blame on somebody else. Those pesky cameras blew that out of the water.
He murdered Stephany for money IMO because she would not give it to him willingly or give him a loan. He also previously determined that she was good for a loan based on the money she spent in the casino.
Plain and simple premeditated resulting in murder for financial gain.

If the hotel worker had gone in and seen the body would he have killed her!?
Would he have stopped her going in?
Just speculation -

I think your right, they are undoubtedly worried, but I think it's JVS who may see the bus coming and the Arubans' driving. JVS screwed up and stirred the pot.

I really never thought Peru would "talk" to Aruba, but it apparently is going to happen and that's finally a promising outlook for BH and her family.

There are so many governments and agencies involved in this it can be quite mind boggling. The actual knowledge we have had in this case since 5/30/05 is enough to make you start strumming your lips.... but just think of all the things we don't know about...that may have played out behind the scenes. Anyone want to start a game of spaceballs?

This is going to be interesting to watch and see what exactly does play out. You may be right, they may be up to their necks, but at this point with the extortion and Stephany's murder they may be swimming for shallow water because it just went from their necks up to their eyeballs. We'll see, but one thing is certain....it won't be boring!

I think it was his plan for the hotel worker to find Stephany and somehow Joran would try to make it seem the murder had happened while he was out getting coffee. Due to the layout of the room, though, her body couldn't be seen by simply opening the door that far. IMO, Joran knew he was stuck this time because he couldn't get her body out of there so plan "B" was to have the hotel staff find her. MOO
