Flores family does not hate JVDS. It's not going to make them feel better as a family, or as a person. (really dignified!!).

You may have just hit the nail on the head...my earlier comment about something not feeling right, maybe it's because it's not very often here in the US that we see a dignified, united family on our television screens!

Greta: speaking with Joran's attorney Maximo Altez about the prison. He says the courthouse is inside the prison. He's talking about the three judges who will decide. Trial can be at least two years away. Motions can be filed but system is overcrowded. This prison is overcrowded. Only a few people in solitary confinement; Joran is in there because it is a high-profile case. Altez doesn't see a problem with Joran being in general population; he's a tough guy. He's also saying there is no tv in solitary. Joran can leave the cell 2-3 hours a day. Greta asking him if there's a toilet facility inside the cell; he says yes, everything there.

If joran thinks he's getting the shaft now.............just wait till he's found guilty and released into general population at Club Castro! :floorlaugh:

We don't know him, and it's (revenge) not going to make us feel better as a family.

This sums it up, thanks. I wish Greta had a proper translator for Ricardo Flores. What a missed opportunity. This family seems so at peace with this, are they calling on religious faith, or something else?

God bless him. I do not think revenge is ever a good idea however I enjoy justice very much. All my prayers to his family. So sad.

The Peru National Police is doing a very thorough analysis of video, his confession, interview of cab drivers, analysis of lap top, and of anyone who came in contact with JVDS and SFlores within those critical days. And how about SFlores' room mate... He is the one who met up with JVDS in the first place, and supposedly introduced JVDS to Flores.

JVDS watched SFlores' poker game for a day or so, saw she was winning, and made her his mark. He set about to steal from her at the start. Just a matter of getting her into his hotel room. He was prepared to do whatever it took, to "close the deal". She fought him off. There was no Impulsive act, in response to being "snapped" (my word) in the head, by S. Flores.

SFlores fought JVDS off; she would not give him her money. So he continued to inflict blows to her head and face. That's how her eye blew out.

This is not a guy who is impulsive. He plots and plans.

May be a bit of truth to what he said about the crime. Something about not knowing why he lost it. The E-mail he got? I agree with you. I'm thinking he had no clue he was going to kill her and he snapped.

They have a calm about them that makes you think they know daughter and sister will have justice. He is a powerful man and I am sure a smart man that will not let anything slip through the cracks. I wonder if Joran knew who she was and what a powerful family she came from. I personally think they are way too calm. jmo

I found them just amazing. They are in a lot of pain themselves and yet they seem to care so much about Beth and the pain she's going through not knowing what happened to her daughter. Bless them! :rose:

Greta talking with Peruvian officer, 2 years to go trial for anyone who commits murder. Alot of motions, and over crowded. Solitary confinement just a few people. It is a tough place to be, only child molestors. JVDS will be okay because he is a tough guy. JVDS was to be in population. No TV. Just bed, that's it. Can leave for exercise. JVDS exercises alone. Toilet facility.
