Ok this is a morbid question but I don't honestly know. With that much blood he couldn't have simply just broken her neck no? I'm thinking he had to really beat her up? No? Can there be THAT much blood with breaking someone's neck?

Perper stated he may have twisted neck with extreme force and violence after breaking it?/to break it>blood all over room and white shirt; also the splatter on clothes, sneakers, etc (which looks like she was not wearing).

No way would they give him back any of his personal belongings, IMO. Everything he had with him is potential evidence.

I also noticed that when they were showing his shampoo that behind it there was a roll of toilet paper...So apparently he now has everything he could need. I say send him to Louie Gancho and see how he fairs there...I pray that he becomes a reject and has to comb thru the trash to eat.

I still think he killed Stephany when he came back from getting the coffee. The picture of him coming out of the room at 8:13 with a cigarette, he appears very relaxed and the door is open rather wide at that point. Also when he returns with the coffee, it appears as though the door was ajar a little and all he had to do was push it open.

Hmmm.. I don't know. He came out of the room at 8:13 with a striped shirt on. He had to change out of his white shirt because it was blood spattered.

ETA, they were inside one of those Inflated Jumping/Bouncing things with 10 other children this past Memorial Day.

I think I may have to give in to my boycott of NG and watch the repeat at 10:00 so I can see more of Jean's tour of the prison.
Even though I don't believe NG's dorm room in college was worse than a prison cell in Peru! She likes to dramatize a bit too much, imo.

Hubby is watching Caddyshack on AMC-they just showed the candy bar floating in the pool scene-priceless! lol

Bravo to Jean Casarez! Hardest working woman on CNN these last few weeks. She's putting in the time and getting her story. Go Jean!

Side note: I ever so briefly met her some years back when the tobacco litigation trial was broadcast on Court TV. I was a paralegal for the plaintiff firm at the time. She worked hard back then, too.

I think so too. When JVDS came back with the coffee, he only went in the room for 10 minutes, then came back out with the coffee and performed his little knock-knock game. Really crazy. His alibi would suck, even if he wasn't caught on tape.

He was behind a curtain, but I think when Dorothy and her companions arrived in Oz she knocked on a big door that had a little window in it, and she was let into the building. That must have been what Jean Casares was referring to. I could be wrong.

Has anyone heard the time between the moment they entered the rm & he went for coffee? Just curious about how long until he killed her after they got inside. I say immediately...?

Interesting theory. But how do you then explain how there was no blood on him, or on the clothes that he is wearing in the coffee videos and the leaving the hotel for good videos. Are you thinking that the initial bloody attack occurred before he went out for coffee, he then cleaned up and changed and went out for coffee, came back and that is when he finished her off by smothering her with his white shirt. Without going back to the timeline videos you so graciously posted, didn't only about 10 minutes elapse from the time he came back with the coffees and then exited the room with the coffees. Not much time to have a confrontation, kill someone, and plan his next move. He also looked very calm, cool and collected when he exited the room to fake his locked out of the room routine. He might have left the door ajar hoping that someone might have discovered the body while he was conveniently out for coffee and when they didn't he did his second return from getting coffee routine, not realizing that the camera captured all of his shenanigans. I don't know, but it makes more sense to me that he killed her before he went out for coffee and the rest was his staging of an alibi.
