Does this guy live in the real world?

Someone should clue him in that someone can be really nice to you, but if you find out they're a cold blooded murderer, it's ok to walk away and do not pass go! :banghead:

Obviously he didn't see that side of Joran. Most likely because he didn't have anything Joran wanted. At least at the moment and he REFUSED to give it to him.

JMHO

Maybe like kinds.....he only wanted to be around JVS for what he could get....attention, women and now notoriety.

Yes... but no matter as he's having such a grand ole time.

From his FB:

John Ludwick Tonight at the CNN DC studio I hung out, shot the breeze, and watched some of the Lakers-Celtics game with millionaire Ben Stein, host of "Win Ben Stein's Money", "America's Most Smartest Model", CNN contributor, and aka the "Clear Eyes" commercials guy with the distinctive voice. He's mad cool, and he showed me nothing but respect for standing up for my boy Joran. And he is a huge REDSKINS fan also!!!

Murdering he while she reisited being robbed woul dget him the life sentence in Peru.

But bottom line, can they prove at what point the robbery took place--before or after he killed her?

Remember Denzel washington character in "Training Day"?

"It's not what you know, it's what you can prove."

If they can't overturn his confession, his attorneys may have their primary task in saying he only robbed her after she died, due to some struggle over something else.

That was an awesome movie...Training Day......

carry on....I am sorry for butting in...I abuse the thanks button and I abuse thanking folks....I think I need help.:loser:

Yes I said that earlier too. And one would think if he is right hand dominant, that that is the arm that he would use primarily to strike, unless it was already "preoccupied" such as in holding her against the wall trying to rob her or get her pin numbers or such. She fought back, and he went ballistic at any resistance or attempts even to strike at him.

His own words imply a single elbow strike and subsequent strangling are what he did to kill her. And it still may be true. But maybe he is so deranged that he would lie there while he had a massively swollen left knuckle?

I think it is worse for him to admit he struck her with his elbow, because the elbow is a massive weapon! Far easier to break many boards with an elbow strike, e.g., than a punch, and the elbow doesn't break unlike knuckles when you hit something hard. So why would he admit to using his elbow and say it if it really was a punch? I can't see what he would gain by lying and saying he did it with his elbow, when it was a punch. But my not seeing it is not sufficient proof of anything that occurred.

That's why I went with the elbow. And we have not seen any photos of the back of his elbows. But again, the elbow is so massive, that it would not likely be injured from a massive blow to bone structure.

Botom line is the evidence. And, of course, as it has been noted here today, he could claim he broke his knuckle in frustration at what had transpired.

And I have stated that the indentation to Stephany's face can be matched to whatever it was that caused her skulland brain trauma--be it elbow, knuckle, tennis racquet or anything else.

Yes, I know you addressed the wine throwing before me but I probably thought of it before you!:Dj/k......... Everyday I come home I have about 10-15 pages to read and I'm a slow reader!:banghead: I always start at the beginning and plod through and there were so many posts about this that I just couldn't wait! LOL

Anways........If he is right-handed (which I'm going with) then I'm not so certain about your suggestion on him possibly being preoccupied. You're not going to try and subdue someone probably fighting for their life with your weak hand. Even when you hammer a nail you hold the hammer with your dominant hand, if you know what I mean.

Are you saying he wouldn't even have a bruise if he used his elbow?

I seem to remember that Melody had a birthday around the time Natalee disappeared. Anyone remember that?

I don't remember that, but I do seem to remember hearing or reading that her birthdate is the same as Natalee's or Stephany's. Unless I dreamed it.

It was my understanding, upon listening to the show, that simple---will get lesser sentence than aggrevated. They are saying since she passed before he robbed her---hence the simple robbery. I, personally, disagree. He robbed her within the act of murder....period...he should get life in prison. Can't see how you can separate the two. JMO

As you may be aware of, I do not believe that his primary motive was robbery. However, gotta say that I was shocked this evening that expecting charges on Monday might be Murder and Simple Robbery since everything I have read and viewed seemed to indicate they believed otherwise.

Who thinks this hitman is a plant? I find it strange out of all the people there, there is only one person besides Joran in confinement?

I agree. I believe it is clear (when all the evidence is taken into consideration) that robbery was his motive, therefore if he had to kill her first to get her money it still should be the aggravated charge. MOO

I just think one of these times after moving Joran around ..he will not return.
What will they do to the prisoner that takes justice into his owns hands ...Oh yeah he's already in jail... ...

RE Pat Browna nd the oralsex hypothesis.

I am not watching. But I listened last week to Pat Brown with her theory that Joran tied to push Stephany down to fellate him.

I guess the facts, such as her winning money in front of Joran don't matter??

He probably could have gotten others there to do his sexual favors without forcing. Maybe he even learned his lesson in this regard since Natalie. He didn;t seem to try to force the Thai girls to do anything in that video, just tried to scam them and such.

But there is much proof, of him begging numerous people for money to be able to even fly out of there. He got desperate for money, and is also really messed up RE his gambling addiction (and other addictions.)

You start losing more andmore, and being left with less and less, and getting mor andmore deranged nad fantasizing aboutwinning the big one, until its all gone, and he looked for the nearest "sure thing" to get money.

JMO

Good thoughts. We can't forget he arrived in Peru with $25k and even asks a friend to send him food! From the sounds of it, he didn't even have enough money to fly home.

I haven't heard anything about kidnapping. Do they consider kidnapping a serious crime?
The other night, I think on NG's show, kidnapping was mentioned since he admitted he wouldn't let Stephany leave the hotel room. But I haven't heard anything about him being charged. MOO

I was saying that he may have held her with his primary hand--the right--up against the wall--not at all expecting that the "little woman" would resist him, and he'd have to use whatever was available (in his warped mind) against her--his left. Maybe she kicked him in his privates. Or he just does not tolerate any resistance once he's in that mode.

RE the elbow, yes, there might not be any bruise on the elbow, especially several days later.

I broke several boards together without any difficulty or damage to my elbows. Maybe there was brief redness, that's it.

But my knuckles sure would break upon doing the same with punches.

Again, the indentation to her face alas will match the murder weapon be it knuckle, elbow, racquet etc.

This may be what the police had in mind when they said. "We don't need to go back to the motel and reenact the crime, we have absolutely everything we need to know exactly what happened." I think this might be such a match as I just described. Of course, they have his confession.

So the only parameter left is when they will say the robbery took place and will so charge and sentence him.

She and Natalee share the same birthdate. I saw it on GMA this morning but am having trouble finding a link.

I thought the drug lord/ex-mayor was also in the same area with Joran and the Colombian hitman?
