Well that link doesn't appear to be working anymore so I was unable to see the video, but of course his lawyer is making excuses for this. It was staged you know. Joran was just minding his own business and painting his cell, which he apparently asked if he could do, and well...

I have no words.

When asked about the alleged transaction for drugs Van der Sloot’s attorney, Maximo Altez, tells In Session "this has been staged... I have asked the National Correctional Institute (INPE) to conduct an investigation."

"Joran got permission to paint his cell, we asked and where granted permission. Painting is part of his rehabilitation. He was painting and the guards where talking to him. He took off his shirt so that he wouldn't paint his clothes. He is painting and the guards are talking to him. I took him the paint myself. It was a yellowish color."

The Public Information officer of Lima’s Castro Castro prison, Bruno Guzman, told In Session:

"This matter is under investigation. You can see an inmate offering him marijuana. Joran was not wearing a shirt because he was painting his area. He wanted to improve his conditions."

ya, I caught a news flash that JVS was shirtless, painting his cell as part of his rehabilittion. Not hard time, for sure. Guess anyone with a camera can make money off JVS.

I thought this was the worse prison ever.........what a joke now.

I think it really is a pizzy-arsed prison.....unless you have bucks...then it's just how much and who you can buy. imo. Seems he's reaching out and touching everyone and can get away with remaining the spoiled little b(rat) he's always been; instead of a sick, brutal murder. I don't think it would be much different in Luri either. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the right hand was touched he'd be on his way back to Aruba...or the US.

I truly wonder what SF's family is thinking about this carp?

Wonder why this took so long to hit the news if it happened in August?

He didn't seem to struggle at all with the language barrier during this exchange. I hope this has come to the attention of the judges deciding whether to throw out his confession based on the fact that he didn't have a translator.

“Joran thought the guard was in on a plot to kill him, and he went totally berserk,” a source told the Enquirer. “He yelled insults at the guard, and then threw a punch at him. Joran was hysterical. He was so crazy with fear of being murdered in prison that he started blindly running in a bid to escape. He made it through one door of the cell block and almost made it through a second door before another guard tackled him and held him down. If that guard hadn’t acted so quickly, who knows how far Joran would have gone? He could have found a hiding place in jail that could have led to an escape.”

Seems JVDS is paranoid, thinks he will be poisoned/murdered...:dance: How does it feel, Joran....be afraid, be very afraid...JMHO

I am so very happy JVDS is worried/afraid that his KARMA will come full swing...I hope they don't murder him, just yet...he needs to stand trial for what he's done to Stephany and Natalee..JMHO

After he stands trial, I hope he lives a long long life behind bars always looking over his shoulder, worrying if every day will be his last.

I also hope he sees Natalee's and Stephany's face every night when he goes to sleep but I don't ever see him having any remorse over it because that would take having a conscience and he apparently doesn't seem to have one.

Joran speaks and understands Spanish just fine...English too. He had an interpreter from the Dutch embassy at the time of his confession, it just wasn't an "official" one. Apparently an "official" Dutch to Spanish interpreter doesn't exist there in Peru. He was completely aware of exactly what was going on, it's just legal games now.

A family was out walking around 6:30 pm near Alto Vista where they came across the bones and some clothes. They called police, but it was getting dark. They seem to think it's animal bones. If they determine it's human bones, they'll investigate further.

It doesn't look like animal bones to me. Looks like a skull, but it's very hard to tell. I'm extremely disturbed by the lack of security. They're stomping all over the scene and disturbing the remains. Handling the bones with no gloves, etc. I guess this is SOP for ALE, though.

I hate to get my hopes up, but it would be wonderful if this was Natalee and she could be sent home to RIP.

For the most part, van der Sloot is living in hellish solitary confinement, a windowless cell - barely large enough to fit a mattress and a hole in the floor for a toilet.

I think that would be punishment at least compared to his previous digs.

I just took this to be his original cell....freshly painted :furious: ....but now he's not allowed to leave it. I didn't think this was anything new. I thought he was put in solitary after the photo fiasco, when the others were removed to the general population. But I could be wrong!!

Not so sure how 'solitary' his confinement is....what with him teaching English to the guards, etc. And, he was outside on that porch and able to buy pot!!??!!
