He's right where he should be. Good luck on that suntan!
OMG...according to that article ^^ he's lost 13lbs on his hunger strike he started in August when he was transferred there!!
Oh the horror :floorlaugh:
So much more in that article I can't help but shake my head over. Unbelievable.
MOO
He's lost 25 kg (3 stone 13lb) already. He's not the same man I married.
It is, of course, a complicated call: Joran is aggressive, outspoken, famous, and foreign, so he might attract attacks from other prisoners; but he's also a manipulator, some one who has using his moves at gambling tables, pick-up bars, and soaking the mother of a murder victim. He might be plotting for a transfer to a prison with better food or with more access to his baby mama.
Remember the story about "the boy who cried wolf?" True or not, Joran is going to have a hard time being believed by anyone (except his "wife). I don't fell sorry for him AT ALL. He brought all of this upon himself and needs to live with the repercussions of his actions in murdering one young woman, and possibly two. No sympathy here.
Poor Joran:tantrum: Cry me a river!! lol... Maybe if he really wants transferred he would agree to tell what happened to Natalie in return? Just a suggestion..of course, how could we ever believe him? Anybody know if he has any contact at all with his mother?
Good news...
Joran van der Sloot 'justified' transferred to prison Peru
The transfer of Joran last year to Challapalca prison in Peru, according to a Peruvian judge lawful. The request for review of the decision, was recently rejected.
That the lawyer for the Dutchman, Máximo Altez, who submitted the request on behalf of his client, Friday announced to NU.nl.

However the article suggests that this transfer was only to be for 6 months and then his behaviour would be reviewed at that time. By my calculations that would be sometime in February. I hope his attempt at drawing attention to the prison by stabbing himself and getting his lawyer and wife to go public about it keeps him in their for a few more years.
That's some hunger strike. Can a person survive without food for 6 months?
MOO
So - reading all the old posts I've missed. This from January:
So - I guess no transfer back last month? Oh the pity... :giggle:
And how long now has he been on his hunger strike? Since November? this is the 6th month? Must be a skinny boy by now!
