HLN just had a reporter reporting live from Peru and supposedly they released her TOD to be 12:40am. She was found with a shirt and panties on only. Two cans of soda one soda half empty the other which was a diet coke was empty. There were other details but I am not remembering them to much. Blood from the ears and at first the lady thought it was JVS but then realized it was the girl because of her long hair.

Hi Nervous Nellie. Someone posted back thread that Stacey's parents had said that they were concerned that she may have been kidnapped. That might be the reason that this man thought both had been kidnapped.

Why assume someone had been kidnapped when that is a somewhat rare occurrence here in the USA?

Because in South America it is a crime that US citizens are warned of if they choose to travel to one of the South American Countries.

Peru is still defined as a developing nation. There are areas of Peru that one should not travel to because of terrorist groups within that country and political unrest. (violent acts, demonstrations). I think to travel there one should really be informed. That doesn't mean that all parts of Peru are dangerous but there could be spill over violence and crime. (As is on the border between Mexico and USA at times).

Kidnapping of prominent Peruvian citizens, affluent peruvian citizens and citizens of other countries for money are not unheard of IMHO. IIRC there is even a term used for one type of kidnapping for money called express kidnapping.

I think that the man who says that he had worried or assumed that both had been kidnapped probably had reason to assume that the moment. Especially in consideration to Stephany's socio-economic status and JVDS foreign nationality. JMHO.

I went to Lima, Peru when I was about 23, 24 years old with a girlfriend whose family lived there. I was supposed to be there for a month, when I kept hearing about "gorillas" on the loose and all sorts of warnings. (I don't speak fluent spanish and I suppose I was VERY ignorant of terrorism) I honestly thought all the hub bub was about real ape like gorillas! When someone explained to me that the embassy there in Lima was blown up by terrorists aka "gorillas" I left after only a week.

My US Passport is Navy Blue also, however my friend in Europe is brownish.

My old Dutch passport is black also. I assume Joran's was issued in Aruba. Passports issued in Holland are now EU passports and different looking.

If she thought he was in the room, why didn't she just knock? Letting yourself in to someones hotel room while you *think* they are in there, TV blasting, is a good way to get yourself shot. Jus sayin'. Did they try to reach him in nhis room by phone first, before going up to ther door?

I cannot remember what JeanC said re a phone call to his room first. Should be clarified later during the day since JC seems to be reporting new information live from Peru at intervals today on HLN.

Perhaps, may have taken a couple of bucks from him to not disturb the room for a day or two. Who knows? And finally had to enter the room due to whatever the phone call received from Atlantic Casino that day was about.

Jane C: they believe the time of death when the body was found and this report confirms it to be 12:40 AM Wednesday, June 2, 2010. They said the body had been there 48 to 72 hours which would match when he was last seen.

I'm so confused. I recorded it and you all can listen to it.

I take undressed as being totally nude. The fact that she was in a t-shirt and underwear to me means dressed.

Could her demeanor be proof he gave her the date rape drug which incapacitates a person somewhat, and causes them to lose their memory? I am curious when he did this, as they said they found packages of that type of drug in her car. So when and how did he do this? Any ideas?

Here's my theory, based solely on what we've seen and read so far and her demeanor when walking behind him through the lobby. I think he slipped something in her drink probably at the casino. They leave the casino with her intending to go home. She starts to feel the effects of the drug pretty quickly and he grabs her keys or convinces her to hand them over, probably acting at that point as a gesture of helping her. He probably convinces her she shouldn't be driving. In her confusion in why she suddenly feels so weird, she seems to let him take charge because she isn't feeling quite right, hence her demeanor in the hotel lobby videos following behind him, versus how alert she looks when they first leave the casino and are walking together walking side by side.

He, along with the 2 brothers in Aruba have admitted in the past that they would hit bars late at night around closing time, hoping to pick up women. I think he was thinking as long as he got her to his room and she was unaware of what was going on, he would proceed to do what he has been doing for years. Except I think Stephany woke up at some point, and having no interest in being with a man, realized what was happening to her and started to fight him off. And I think the rest is history. I think he tempted fate again, like he has in the past and "something bad happened" which were the words that were uttered when it happened in Aruba, before the coverup went into action.

My guess is that he's done it countless times, with countless women in countless bars in countless countries. He probably didn't think his "luck would be so bad" (probably the way he thinks) that something could go so horribly wrong....twice. But it did.

My theory only after following his case like the back of my hand for the last 5 years. :sleuth:

So what is fully clothed? IMO, Mark would have reported she was only in panties. :banghead:
