Someone on either JBM or NG today speculated earlier reports of two coffee's may actually be two sodas. Citing translation. Personally I don't see where it would make much dif either way in the scheme of things.

Nope, it makes no difference except for the fact that the sodas were in the room and we didn't see the soda go in the room.

If it is coffee, we didn't see them going to the room with coffee, in the room, or leaving the room. If he really did buy 2 coffees and took one, then the other should have been in the room and he should have been caring one out. :crazy:

The clerk also noticed her long hair. when she went into the room her hair was pinned back. in the video of her in the parking lot I thought it looked like her hair was down, but thats not very clear video.
do we still have alink for that?

I swear I heard them say if he pleads it could still last 6 months. The courts there must not go a full day and a full week.

If you think about it & that's what repulsed him all he'd have to do is walk away.

Obviously his repulsion stems from young women breathing air.

I don't personally think it was sexually motivated, but if he did fight her pants off (but not the shirt, or the panties) and stopped because he is squeamish... Joran Van der Sloot cannot exactly walk away from an attempted sexual assault and a witness that can identify him.

I would imagine this place had paper thin walls. I can't understand after watching NG and hearing about the description of SF's body and hearing about the condition of the room, how no one heard anything. This girl was fighting really hard for her life and no one heard anything at all??

We don't know if the rooms around his were occupied at the time this was happening, and all I've seen is one report of someone hearing arguing going on, which doesn't seem to me to be the same as someone fighting for their life. I actually think she could've been restrained somehow from screaming while still fighting for her life to get away from him. And think of the difference in size between the two of them....she didn't have a chance. MOO

I am thinking the walls are solid and thick. This is a very old building that seems very solid. Most old building are much thicker and quiet compared to the newer hotels with thin walls.

I think based on how her hair was pinned in a bun, it appeared to the clerk that she has long hair.

I think we are seeing him leave for the last time, but I think there are videos before and after the one of them going into the room that we are not seeing.

That was the same glow I saw when she was walking into the casino after she parked her car. The little glow was swinging.

Were any guests staying in the rooms adjacent to Joran's? I can't believe no other guests heard anything. I remember a hotel employee reporting hearing them fighting... does anyone know what time that was?

The link I posted earlier today with pics of the rooms at Hotel Tac also had a description of the Hotel being "alternative lifestyle" friendly. I thought it was odd to promote that. Then my mind went to a dark place ala I wonder what kind of alternative guest they get there (i.e., S & M, all kind of crazy fetishes out there). I dunno.

I'm sure whoever noticed loud arguing/fighting/screaming or whatever coming from room 309 was able to pinpoint a specific time. At least I hope so.

What I was trying to say is her "condition" (and I'd imagine a lot of resistance from her) prevented him from completing what he'd lured her to his room for. He then flies into a rage and she's dead. MOO

Just my opinion I don't think that condition common to all women would prevent any rapist. They said she resisted evidenced by defensive marks on her body. I think he planned to murder & rob her & who knows maybe rape too. Initial reports was that she was fully clothed (now they're saying otherwise). I don't think she resisted due to her condition based on reports she's a lesbian.

If those things are true I believe he lured her there under some other pretense and sadly she was naive enough to believe him.

The casino owner is a female, IIRC.

I didn't mean resistance because of her condition, but resistance in general to him wanting sex from her. I still believe he lured her up to the room under pretense of something that had nothing to do with sex and once there started to attack her. And she fought. Sorry I wasn't clearer!

I'm still stunned about the further information provided regarding her death due to a broken neck, although I've read it was due to a brain hemorrhage also.

Several lawyers were asked if they had ever been involved in cases where the victim received a broken neck from another human and both said no and then it was stated that to break one's neck (outside military type training) would require almost car accident force.

That's some heavy duty rage there...
