A bit O/T...my frustration levels with this case the past 2 day have been through the roof, it just dawned on me that I have become spoiled by Florida's sunshine law! We have been following the cases for Caylee & Haleigh for so long that I've become accustomed to getting the info straight from the horses mouth (so to speak)! Now we are getting bits and pieces of info that contradicts one another and we honestly have no way to verify anything, ugh! :banghead:

God please send a miracle to the Gulf of Mexico

Pardon me, but this may be a stupid comment. When I looked at the hotel website it said rooms with bathrooms were $40/night. Was this a room with a bath or not? We haven't seen enough of the room to know I guess. If he had a cheaper room, he would have had to walk out in the hall to get to a shower wouldn't he? I know nothing of Europe, so excuse my ignorance.

It look like he took a shower, his hair was wet and he changed clothes. It's a educated guess.

Dr Robert Kaufman says on NG that its hard to break a neck

that it requires blunt force and a twisting motion together

and that it couldn't be done in a one swipe motion

which is different than some said on here

which was that you could kill someone with a karate chop

wonder who is correct?

cause he doesn't believe it

Reporter in Peru: So they are saying Joran was wearing the same clothes when he went out to get the coffee as he wore when he went to his room at 5:00 AM. I wonder how this reporter saw that video as it hasn't been released.

IF that is true and Joran had on the same white shirt at 8:20 AM when he returned with coffee, and then left the room at ~8:40 AM with the striped shirt, then Joran killed Stephany when he returned with the coffee.

Where the heck is the coffee video????

Patty, you're cracking me up with the coffee video MIA. And I agree, btw.

bolded by me....Hahahahahha...There may not be anything left of him ...to bring...HERE...

We can only hope. I just think Beth deserves to see him behind bars in the U.S.

Well if you stay off JVM and NG, and just listen to the news reports, there is a 75% of getting accurate information.

Thank you that's what was confusing me. I see her mentioned here a lot, even in the Caylee column (Comparing her grace to CAs well, not so much) as Beth Holloway, and today I read an article calling her Twitty. Interesting she changed it back to Holloway and not to her maiden name. I can understand why. When I divorced I would have gone back to my maiden name in a heartbeat if it weren't for my daughter having my husband's last name. Maybe when she's grown I will...

I'm glad the confusion about Beth's name has been set straight.

Just for the record, when I got married, I never changed my name. So that meant my children and I carried different surnames. I gave my children their dad's surname because I wanted them to match their older half-brother and -sister. Fastforward 20+ years, my daughter and I both changed our surnames to my deceased son's first name in his honor. Now, after more than 20+ years, my daughter and I have the same surname. My step-children's teachers and doctors knew me by my maiden name, as did my children's teachers and doctors.

I can see how Beth would prefer to be known as Holloway rather than Twitty. Holloway was Natalee's name, isn't it more likely she chose to use her daughter's surname rather than her ex-husband's (Mr. Holloway)? I would think so. It's her way of honoring her daughter.

Particulary, if he had just killed her, he most likely had blood splatter on himself..Can't walk past the hotel desk/lobby..with blood splatter...

Yes, that is a very good guess...

On NG: Thank you, Ray Guidice, for bringing up the physical disparity between Stephany and Joran.

Yes, he took a shower, but if he had a room with no bath there would be video of him going to take a shower and also if anyone went down the hall to the bathroom during the time they were there--it would be nice to have Jean K find out if there was a bath in his room.

If you hit them in the windpipe. Remember you can break a brick with your hand.

There is another way too - I think its taught in the military. You grab the chin (cupped) in one hand and put the other hand on the back of the neck and twist - very hard, very quick. I could be wrong about this - have to ask my DS next time I talk to him.

i would much rather her see him behind bars in Peru

that would be WAY more just than in the US

he deserves a Peruvian jail, not one of ours

There was a Peruvian video or slideshow of the actual room and I beleive there was a bathroom. Mark Furhman was in a room that was the same as 309 and I think I saw a bathroom in that one too!

I don't know that I can find that slideshow again, but I'll check because I know I commented it was the actual room based on the translation of the wording under the picture.

The Doctor, since he said that VDS probably knew how to do it because he probably had done it before.

NG Drama ... no one knows if Joran planned anything. GEEZ!

She did not say that, one of her expert guests made that comment.

Also she started a business for Natalee so I guess she felt people would get confused with another name.

Just because this guy is on TV doesn't mean what he's saying is correct. You can absolutely break a neck with one swipe. SWAG 1959--you are correct, that is another way. My significant other is a Navy Seal, and believe me, there are many ways to break a neck depending on your position in relation to the other person. As a side note, why is everyone believing that Stephany was on Joran's computer? The hotel clerk said the TV was on, maybe she heard it on the news.
