Australia Australia - Pheobe Bishop, 17, failed to board a scheduled flight from a Queensland Airport. Last seen Airport Drive, Bundaberg, 15 May 2025

Confusing reports as to whether both housemates were in the car or if it was just one of them. The report about a CCTV view of the car in Samuels Road says that Pheobe was in the back, so presume the two front seats were occupied?

On Wednesday, Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson confirmed Pheobe was being driven to the airport by one of the two people she had been living with in the town of Gin Gin, west of Bundaberg, who have since been revealed to be James Wood and Tanika Bromley.

He confirmed police are confident Pheobe never made it to the airport.

Her luggage is also missing.

It is not known which roommate was in the car with Pheobe, but police are also probing reports the 17-year-old was arguing with the driver on her way to the airport and was kicked out of the car before going missing.”

Is it possible there was one of the housemates, Phoebe, and some other unnamed person in the car?

If only one housemate was in the car, and Phoebe was in the back seat, maybe someone else was in the front. Someone we haven't heard anything about.

The flights above are for Qantas, the main airline flying out of the Bundaberg Airport. With Qantas, you can fly Bundaberg to Perth with a stopover in Brisbane.

There is another airline that offers flights between Bundaberg and Brisbane - Link Airways. It is possible she flew with them, but unlikely, as she would need to then change airlines to fly to Perth (so picking up bags in Brisbane, checking in again before flying on to Perth).

If Link Airways were offering flights that day, the flight would have departed at 9:25am. If she was dropped near the airport at 8:30am she would have made that flight, no issue. Even if she needed to walk the (at most) 5 mins from Airport Drive.

I don't think her missing her flight was ever the issue, because the only way she would have missed her flight is if someone prevented her from catching the flight or if she actively decided not to go. Her BF should be able to clarify with police either way given they spoke at 8:30am.

I was hoping this forum would be a little more fact-based, but there is a fair bit of information without evidence being shared. Still waiting for someone to show some evidence of a history of foster care and evidence that the dogs were shot.
I agree. The story about the dogs has been debunked by Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson, and yet, people continue to share it.

Police and SES are searching areas of the Good Night Scrub National Park.

I’ve taken screen shots of the 7news video.

The only link I can find for the full video is Facebook.

FindMollie’s post at the top of this page refers to a DM article where detectives said they both went to the airport with her. Link the the article here : Eerie…

Detectives said believe Ms Bromley and Mr Wood were the two people who drove her the 40 minutes to the airport.

"""The Courier Mail earlier this week reported bags of rubbish were piled up outside the property and multiple dogs – reportedly dead – were seen being removed by detectives.""

The Courier Mail is reporting rumours. Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson denied this. Why would he deny it today when asked if it is true?

Update 3 features a request for info that highlights a very specific location of the Good Night Scrub area. Bold by me:

“Police are appealing to the public for information, including any movement in the Good Night Scrub area on May 15, particularly in the Mingo Road and Gayndah Road areas.”

Have to imagine police have something linking the vehicle of interest to those specific roads, whether it be a sighting, gps data or a tip/rumour.

Interesting that Gin Gin is pretty much midway between the airport and Mingo Road/Gayndah Road intersection.

It would be so obviously crime-like (to me) to have something untoward supposedly happen in one direction from the home (airport) and then dispose of someone in the opposite direction from the home.

"When Daily Mail Australia visited the scene on Thursday, there was a pervading stench of decay emanating from the Milden St property, which witnesses speculated could be due to the dead dogs reportedly found at the home.

Early reports suggested police had discovered and removed four dead dogs from the scene, but one neighbour told Daily Mail Australia she believed as many as 13 of the animals had been found."

Wondering how the story of the dead dogs is now debunked, given journalists went to the home themselves 🤔🤔🤔

Update 3: Missing girl, Bundaberg

QPS Media on May 23, 2025 @ 4:46pm
Police have searched bushland and waterways in the Good Night Scrub National Park today, May 23, as the search for a missing 17-year-old girl continues.

Pheobe Bishop, pictured, has not been seen or heard from since May 15.

Specialist police, including the Dive Squad, have been involved in land and waterway searches of the Good Night Scrub area but have not yet located any items of interest.

This is part of various searches in the wider Gin Gin and Bundaberg areas that have been ongoing this week.

Currently, no one is in custody in relation to this investigation however police continue to speak to people who know Pheobe.

Police are appealing to the public for information, including any movement in the Good Night Scrub area on May 15, particularly in the Mingo Road and Gayndah Road areas.

Pheobe is described as approximately 180cm, pale complexion, long dyed red hair, and hazel eyes.

Investigations are ongoing.

Update 3: Missing girl, Bundaberg

  • Police are continuing to search for missing teen Pheobe Bishop, 17, who hasn't been seen or heard from since being taken to the airport in Bundaberg in Queensland, Australia, on May 15
  • "As another day starts it’s getting harder to breath and the numbness that we feel at the not knowing is eating at us.. We would do anything just to hear your voice," Pheobe's mom, Kylie Johnson, wrote on Facebook on Friday, May 23
  • Police confirmed in their latest update that officers have been searching Good Night Scrub National Park in Queensland

Unless she knew a FIFO worker who was on swing, or someone who was on holiday, and knew their car was at the airport, and has subsequently ‘borrowed’ it, I’m getting concerned about there being a positive outcome. If they are still away, they wouldn’t know their vehicle has been borrowed, which is why it hasn’t been reported stolen. Chances of borrowing an unknown car over a week later and it not being noticed is slim. MOO.

The article discusses the neighbour complaint to police with the dogs going berserk and subsequently when police arrive at the property looking for evidence on PB, they find the dogs shot dead.

Why shoot the dogs at the very instance their housemate goes missing??

Dogs are very good at picking up scent.

Is this why they were shot?

Or was it because the place was left abandoned and no one would be there to look after them?
This was one of the media reports early on that reported the dogs had been shot. And it was also reported on television media back then.
If you look at the timestamp on the original bulletin, and then the timestamp hours later where the article was edited, you will also find similar on other media reports on the case.

Editing out what police perhaps don't want the public to hear.

The dogs being shot was one of the main discussions on all media posts, long before the names of TB and JW were announced

Go looking now and all you find is, "multiple dogs found dead".

While it may be that people are quick to point out inaccuracies as cases move along, people who have actually heard and seen information given out by media both on television and in papers earlier on, KNOW what they've read and heard.

There is ALWAYS a drive to move the narrative by some as missing persons cases move into overdrive. Understandably so. But you can't shoot the messenger when you know full well the narrative is slowly but surely being steered in another direction.

Just saying

Been around too long on these cases and see it every single time.
