Pit Bull and Other Dog Attacks.

I am hearing the same conflicting reports about what kind of dogs all 4 may have been . But I am not hearing conflicting reports that the 2 that did the damage were both Mastiffs.

Okay, TMZ is now saying 3 mastiffs and 1 English bulldog and they guy might have had a heart attack.

Yes they are!! My boys have a female mastiff they have playdates with. Lizzie is and English mastiff.

Fila Brasileiro, the breed that Rhames owned.. Have you all read about this breed of dog? Noway would I ever own one. Click the link above to read about it.

The dog needs to socialize with people while it is a young puppy, to ever bond with them. If you do not live in the house, you are a stranger to this dog, and the dog is bred to hate strangers. Not a good breed for a busy household, or social folks. But definitly a good guard dog.

I don't know which is which, but to me those dogs are HUGE...and the second (black one) had a very mean (imo) look on his face....

*if* they are Filas, that might explain it. They are a breed who only take to their immediate family so much that they are one breed that is allowed to show aggression toward a judge at dog shows. (most breeds would be disqualified)

Ive only met a real one once and it wasnt pleasant, he was in truck next to my car, 140# of huge dog acting like he would kill me if i came closer.
I actually thought of getting in my car from passenger side.

hey I had a similar episode, but not of these dogs...when I was in the 8th grade we all took a shortcut to the bus-stop....there were 2 rottweilers in a pen that wound bark and growl...one day I had the misfortune to be alone and run across them OUT of the pen...they growled and barked at me, I backed away SLOWLY, never staring them in the eyes, and never turned my back to them...thankfully I got away from them OK, and never heard of them hurting anyone...but anyway, it was very scary,,,
also my grandma had a pittbull named pug when I and my cousins were younger...none of us could get anywhere near it, only grandma...it would have tore us too pieces.

LOS ANGELES - Two dogs belonging to actor Ving Rhames apparently mauled a man to death at the star's home Friday, authorities said.
The 40-year-old victim, who has not been identified, had lived on the property and worked as a caretaker at the home for about two years, police said. He was among those responsible for caring for the dogs, said Los Angeles police Officer Sandra Gonzalez. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Three bull mastiffs and an English bulldog were seized by animal services, police said.
