The framed butterfly poster-can someone tell me whose room this is?
I read that it's Dylan's room & the one with the desk and light bulbs around the mirror is Kaylee's. Murphy is underneath the desk hiding :(

I value WS more and more each day. Let me explain. The Idaho Statesman recently released surveillance video and it is being commented on all over the interweb. People keep talking about motions in the house, lighting at windows, somebody walking out of a door at 3:34. It is very clear they think that this is the house where the murders occurred. IT IS NOT.

The speculation begins over and over based on what happened on on that surveillance video, which is about the car and its movements -- not the house seen across the road. Count the windows, look at the door setup, the vehicles in the lot. Not the same house. But people are happy to misreport, not verify, and not even question what address they are looking at before spinning conspiracy theories.

I just want to say this makes me appreciate WS moderators. It is easy to jump ahead with your brain instead of verifying. So I have learned how to slow down and not jump in with two feet. Occasionally your brain still gets ahead of you but you get my point. JMOO
So true. As you follow more cases here, you’ll always notice the difference.

Xana’s room is tiny! She wouldn’t have been able to get away from him once in there. Poor Xana.

Am I misunderstanding where the camera was from the audio portion of the video? I thought that Brian Entin said that the barking dog is coming from inside the house of the adjacent neighbor's house, not the murder house? To my ears, it sounds like a bigger dog that is barking. In other words, is that Murphy barking? I thought that it is a dog inside the house of a neighbor because the slider at the murder was open? Or is it Murphy barking?

Either way, a dog barking that loudly plus seeing Dylan is why he got out of there IMO. That is probably a very big reason why Dylan is still around, in addition to having to fend off poor Xana & exhaustion, he probably thought the knife was too dull by that point. Just horrific, absolutely horrific. The real life Michael Myers, except one that does speak and lies and manipulates like the serpent he is.
In the photo blog of James Keivom (Gremlin's pic link above) the 12th photo shows a black lab wearing a red collar standing to the east of 1122 King Rd. Could have been this pupper. Or any, really.

A lab makes sense. Definitely a bigger dog. He was a good boy as was poor Murphy.

Here is the enhanced photo I saw:

I guess I could be wrong

Of course, I see what you are seeing. But I do not think it is him. He was taken away early on and these are crime scene photos likely taken much later in the day. JMOO

They also said they found him on the bed. I cannot imagine he was not scared and removed so they could do what they had to do not just leave him there.

I don't know how to link to it but one of the documents from Moscow police indicated they took pictures and then lured Murphy out from under the desk and took him to safety. I have a screenshot but don't want to get deleted but it does describe it in that order. 1754674852130.webp

i'm sorry if this has been discussed, I haven't been able to keep up with this thread like I want to.

About the flashing light BF saw...my husband has a tactical flashlight that has multiple modes. One of the modes is a strobe setting that has rapid flashing. I wonder if the inmate could have had one of those? Maybe he didn't mean to turn on that setting? idk.

It doesn't explain the firecracker though...that's very puzzling.

It does not look like Kaylee had “moved out”. She may have been in the process, but not done.

I went back to the old threads to check I hadn't imagined this

1/ Snyder's Supp 4 statements - according to the neighbours - middle paragraph - only dog in area according to that neighbour, barking stops after 45mins.

( Remember that the Defense requested the whole audio tape through dawn and morning -not just the few minutes I. Statesman released, so this earwitness account can be corroborated. No idea if the full tape will get released. )

Screenshot 2025-08-08 at 18.39.08.webp

2/ Dani Vargas interviews of more neighbours - see first earwitness. dog still barking at 5am. his bedroom is closest to the 1122 backyard. Prior to this he'd never heard the dog bark outside in the middle of the night ( Makes sense, it's a puppy and Murphy has never encountered a mass slaughter prior)

Screenshot 2025-08-08 at 19.01.08.webp

3/ Bethany Statement

Bethany says Murphy rarely barks. Also tallies with all the girls' multiple statements on prowlers out the back - Murphy typically runs up to the trees won't return etc, not much barking is mentioned, if at all.

Bethany statement - hears what she perceives to be Murphy barking just before she hears the beer pong table disturbed
Screenshot 2025-08-08 at 18.49.39.webp

4/ Emily Alaunt's statement wrt to Murphy's prior behavior wrt two prowler occasions ( no barking)

Screenshot 2025-08-08 at 19.07.18.webp

5/ Dylan identifies - what she perceives to be Murphy - dancing and barking. paragraph 1

Screenshot 2025-08-08 at 18.43.11.webp

6/ Next Dylan statement
Murphy was outside barking a ‘ month prior’, according to Dylan
and ' Murphy was barking a lot around 4am '
Screenshot 2025-08-08 at 18.48.30.webp

There will be more references to dog and barking, but that's enough in one post. Mega screenshot post! There's another Dylan statement where she talks more about Murphy barking outside after the murderer has left if anyone wants to track it down. ( She did 5 statements. I believe we only got a couple so far)

It's right. Your Gunderson document fits with Snyder's

Have just read it while looking for dog barking refs

Snyder arrives at noon and he writes that he's 'cleared the scene' around 6pm. ( So he must have taken his photos 12-6pm.)
Snyder's own statement is Supp 4 in the batch if anyone wants to double check

ETA
Anyway, forgot to add - what's people's thoughts on Murphy ( if you believe it's him) barking for 45 - 50 mins stretch?

It seems worth noting -- if that is Murphy under the desk, he wouldn't have been immediately noticed even. There's a strange photographer just feet away and he's not moving. Poor thing, probably scared. Didn't come out from under the desk immediateky or easily.

If it was Murphy barking all through until 5am - calling for help - he did his best - for a puppy - gave up and then hid.

Even though BF, DM and Murphy didn't know what was happening, their roommates died, giving them a chance to survive.

All three are survivors. Not faulting the four victims -- the felon took full control -- even KG and XK who had split seconds to react were defenseless against a mad man with a Kbar. It was their fight that alerted the survivors and staying put saved their lives.

Survivor's guilt is real but I hope both young ladies realize that, by being alive, their recall/interviews helped solidify the timeline, fill in critical details and identify the felon -- instrumental in building the case and ultimately achieving four life sentences for the felon. They stood as witness for their fallen friends.

Noble.

Agreed

and Murphy barking as he did, making such a commotion, ensured that LoserMonster wasn't going to stick around. As far as he knew, the whole neigborhood could've been alerted.
