It's so frustrating. Signs were right there flashing away, even the professor saw them and yet nothing was done.

Something major needs to be put in place for parents, educators et al. Someone mentioned in here the British series 'Adolescence' and how good it is at tackling the subject of incel behaviours. Parliament have stated that it will be shown in schools across the country, which is a great start but it doesn't mean a thing when the authorities don't do anything about it! The professor who clocked IT's behaviours was likely stuck between a brick and a hard place because they felt in their gut that something was wrong but if they went to the authorities, what would happen?!
I'm babbling but things NEED to change. I'm not saying that every weirdo out there is an incel capable of violent behaviour, or a future killer, but there are warning signs that CAN be seen, especially when it comes to inceldom, and people should be able to report such behaviours and have them taken seriously by the authorities.

MOO
To be fair, the school was doing something. He was about to be fired and lose his PhD program, and that was in the works before the murders.

Yah they were doing what was in their power and I applaud them for that.
God I just hate him. I, like so many here have followed so many cases from start to conviction & incarceration, but this f&@£er is alongside lie bag Leticia at the top of my most hated 😑

Still trying to catch-up.
Entin's report on the prison complaints from a day ago

BTW Jump Suit Pablo ( popular channel for anything prison-related) did a good explainer of how the ' grates' are vital means of comms for people cell 23x7. It gives good context for why cellmates just chatting daytime will also P him off ( He's awake all night and up all day according to the previous jail inmates) Also note Entin says he doesn't have TV or tablet yet .

Personally I think somebody like BK know-it-all will will become a forever complainer - prison law library - and is too dumb to realise doing that will further alienate COs working there.

Aw! shucks

Snipped

Re page 118

Please don't tell me he purposely got fired from his TA job and messed up his life just to have the experience of getting through tough times.

!?!?!?

jmo

It seems IMO
he was dealing with his inner demons.
And for me it is a proof he is not a psychopath (who usually feels no fear)
but a very disturbed person who was at a loss at what was going on in his mind.

I wonder if he tried any psychological therapies with specialists? 🤔

moo — considering how old the book is, seems like something his mom lent him? The underlining could even have been hers.

That is a very good point. Or, it could be book picked up at a used book store.

I wonder if there is something that indicates it is indeed his underlining?

If not, at least we know he HAD the book even if we don't know what passages stood out to him.

Having been a professor, there are many creepy college and grad school aged men who come through programs every year who never do anything criminal or against any sort of policy. Unless they actually commit some kind of misconduct — which Kohberger eventually did — you can’t get into the business of trying to do something about them all. Some people are just weird or unpleasant and there is nothing criminal about that.

If you like Brian Entin and Kevin Fixler here they are together discussing the doc drop of yesterday.

Now that's interesting. I've got to go back to my timeline.

This is what I have:

~snip~

Dec 10, 2022 FBI gets sheath back from Othram Labs for further testing.

~snip~

Thank you so much for your timeline!

I'm curious if there's actual documentation that states the sheath was sent to the FBI? I figured the FBI did not recreate a new SNP profile from the touch DNA on the sheath, but rather used the SNP profile that Othram had created to upload to other databases to hopefully find a closer genetic connection to the owner of the sheath DNA.

It's interesting to think of that chain of custody of that little bit of DNA on the sheath. First to the Idaho lab that created the STR profile, then to Othram that created the SNP profile, and eventually to the FBI in some format.

I'm still fixated on the DNA aspect of this case because I find DNA so fascinating. Since I first posted here about this I've uploaded my DNA to Gedmatch allowing police access.

I’ve been fascinated by both the legal aspect and the tree building of the profile that led them to the killer. They did not access DNA that was “approved” by its owner for LE access.
They went into a database and found a relative and built that tree, using good old fashioned police work to track a person in that tree. Their suspect was near the scene, had a car that was on the camera footage, with a cell phone nearby many times before. On to the bushy eyebrows, height, no cell phone the night of, the proper age that a profiler would assign, and a student of criminology that studied serial killers prior to attending WU. Modern crime solving at its finest.

I seriously wonder if he thought he was free and clear... Was it a shock to him they busted in.
I think so myself on both points...

Maybe even if just how quickly it happened.

After he had fled across country and away from the area wih Dear Old Dad under the guise of a student just heading home for the holidays.

After all his detailed and very careful planning being so knowledgeable and all about forensics and how not to leave any physical evidence at the scene or in his apartment, nor electronic evidence on his puter or phone he turned off, nor driving around at speeds able to be captured clearly on video cameras and only at night and with a missing front license plate and in a type of vehicle that everyone drives...

Such surprise I bet he felt in those first few moments of panic when LE swooped in on him in his own home at night with force and arrested him.

Unless, of course, he purposely left enough itsy bitsy breadcrumbs in a cat & mouse game with LE to see if and when they would catch up to him.

And it was sooner than he expected. I bet he was in a mad scramble when it occurred, and like a rat scurried back into his basement dwelling to try and escape.

Brian Entin made quite the scoop, and I really appreciate his summaries of the “just released” reports. However, I wonder if and when the general public will be given access to these Idaho State Police reports.

I guess there’s no hope for general (if any) access to the FBI reports, other than what is eventually revealed in unsealed court documents.

Yes that is in the 600 pages Brian Entin was quickly perusing on camera on his YouTube station. He has not had time to go through it in detail but somehow I did not hear the wording "Kaylee" (we can have selective hearing when we have heard it differently before). JMOO

The name "Kaylee" was mentioned in a document by an officer who was called to the house.
The second time when Brian E. quoted Dylan's words.

This quote was earlier,
recorded on the morning after murders.

So,
it might have been changed by Dylan later on IMO.
When Kaylee's name was not mentioned in the quote.
(killer's words she heard)

Hmmm.... 🤔

I own this book ! It is Shocking to see it here, lol !
I bought it many years ago, as a self help book, it really helped me tremendously !
I skipped forward to post here that I have it ; so I don’t know if it is explained exactly why BK had it . I have to backtrack now to see what exactly why BK had it .
The reporter, KF who tweeted it answered a question under it and said we don’t know for sure if the book belonged to BK or his parents.

It seems that Dylan thought Kaylee was the one who went up and down the stairs, the one who cried in the bathroom, the one who the man in black spoke to.

Maybe this is why Dylan convinced herself that Xana was merely passed out drunk when she caught a glimpse of her on her way down to Bethany’s room. No sign of Kaylee.

BK was always shaven neat and clean. After the muder he was unshaven and dis-sheveled and starting wearing a heavy black coat. The weather didn't call for such a heavy coat.

Yep.
Imagine a weird guy sitting INDOORS wearing a heavy black coat 😵‍💫

Jeez!!!

I'm amazed he wasn't dismissed from his job immediately after first complaints.
I even wrote about it here over 2 years ago and was jumped at by some poster.

Why did the female students have to endure such attitude towards them?
They paid for their studies.
And got this madman to teach them in return for their money!!!

RBBM

I really hope we get some info as to what he was discussing with his mother that day.

I'm wondering if he said anything to her that made sense.

I suspect he was winding down from his purported adrenaline rush, and most of what he said was gibberish/word salad.

JMVHO.

I guess!!!
he was in a kind of stupor and needed an anchor to reality.
And his mother is such an anchor.
Down-to-earth.

IMO

I'm catching up on the thread!

The way I read it was that it wasn't actually happening much

Eta or at least not as much as possible let alone how much we would like.
I read it was day and night. They were taking shifts to yell at him through the vents.

Did he really talk with his family about catching a ballgame when he got out?????? (19m mark)

Is he completely delusional?

41 minutes. More BrianEntin and Kevin Fowler
