He looks kind of emaciated to me in some of the photos, especially in the one where he's doing the salute that AI suggests might be used by the Polish military or the Cub Scouts. Apparently eating was as low a priority for him as sleeping appeared to be.

salutes are given only while wearing headgear, touching it with the fingertips

The romantic legend tells us

I felt the same thing. I couldn't remember who created the image but I recalled it was maybe an Asian artist so I was trying to recall the story.

He is obsessed with his appearance.

Photos show him how he looks in different situations.
How he looks when smiling,
when serious, or trying to look macho or scary.
As if trying masks on
to later show to the world.

Re photos while he's trying new jeans on...
Wanting to see how they fit.
It might be the everlasting psychological result of his former obesity.
Always checking how the body looks like.
(Do I look slim?
Do I look attractive?)
IMO he seems to be anorexic, obsessively controlling weight and image of himself.

There were 2 or 3 pictures with him looking natural, carefree & happy.
One with the dog.
Two while hiking in nature.

Ok, first of all, BARF.

BK was taking a thyroid med, so he likely has an underactive thyroid, which causes weight gain. (what people used to call a "gland problem") So, he is on the med and the weight is easier to manage. Then he adopts a vegan diet, not on principle, but to keep from gaining weight. Vicious cycle. He definitely seems to have an eating disorder. I know he supposedly has ARFID, apparently related to being on the spectrum, which I'm not fully convinced he is on it, but anyway. The healthiest he looked was at one of his hearings (don't remember which one but it was early on) when he looked to be a healthy weight, and even his hair was nice (it pains me to type that). Perhaps he should have been more obsessed with his teeth, yes, I'm petty.

In all those pictures he’s wearing earbuds.

What is he hearing? Do the pictures reflect what he is listening to? Is it music? Podcasts?

He’s a freak.

Those pictures of him in Pennsylvania in the black hoodie and him driving around at night on Christmas Eve lead me to believe he was getting ready to kill again. He was searching. He looked unhappy on Christmas Day. He couldn’t do what he wanted. He had to be with family. He didn’t want to be there.

The dog. The dog was unsure of him. Ears pinned back and a very unsure look. The dog knew.

It does look like he’s practicing how to mimic various emotions that he assumes he can try on as a facade when necessary.

I believe all of us do this on some level wether we're aware of it or not. What's interesting is that he was documenting it, perhaps trying to understand it, and in his isolation unaware.

I listen to a lot of books on audible or podcasts while I'm doing other things. I think he was lonely and made sure to have a background going like people use television for company. He wants to be studied, to understand AND get away with it. To be credited for grasping and commenting on if he ever got to finish is education.

Too bad. He blew it. Now we have this chaotic debris to interpret, including the families with the loss of their young adults. I understand being unhappy, but choosing to take others out in the process, absolutely NOT.

I wish I could look away from BK. Still trying to understand the un-understandable. JMOO

Those photos are VERY bizarre. If trying on new pants and trying to determine how they look from the backside when no one is around to help, one would expect that he might take a photo of the mirror's reflection to make a determination and then delete the photo when done. But he KEPT the photos.

Open his photo app and his library has one category: Brian. Solipsist. Party of one. Self-amusing.

For all the long talks with Mother, I am certain he had objectified her like he did others. She was just an extension of Brian. Dial a "pat on the back."
