Sounds like you're a CostCo member so you'd need to scan your card. What I was saying is that non-members can enter the store, obviously without a member card, if they state they are picking up a prescription. They just wave me in and I hold up my prescription bag with the receipt stapled to it on my way out. I don't even need to stop.
Yes, I joined back when they were Price Club in San Diego (pre-Costco) days so back since the late '80's.

Our store recently changed to requiring a scanned membership card for ANY entry into the store, even for pharmacy needs. I believe Costco announced this would be instituted in all stores but I don't know on what timeline.

Thank you all for explaining 🙂

I have never heard of this kind of verification and it is good to know.

I also think that it is the most probable explanation of the photos in question.
LinkedIn uses a service called CLEAR to verify your identity in order to become a verified user. You have to take a selfie and then take a phone of a government issued ID and they compare the selfie to the ID to see if you are who your ID says you are.

That's interesting and kinda hard to believe since it's stated differently on CostCo's site and I've never had an issue. Are you a NON-member that tried to gain entry and was turned away? Because I don't have a membership and can waltz in using the magic word "Pharmacy".

Keeping this to the case at hand... Did BK want to be seen on camera as being out and about and acting normal the day of the murders, and wanted to appear normal?

Um, I was just at my Costco a couple of hours ago. You do need to scan your membership card at the door and there's a person at the door as well. Nobody tried saying "Pharmacy" and was let in. This is either different in your area, or it's an outdated policy. You can get in as a guest with someone who has a card.

That's because you're a member. LOL Of course you need to scan it. And had someone in your party tried to get in without one (you said nobody tried), by saying they were picking up a prescription at the pharmacy, I'll bet they'd have gotten different results. :)

No one here gets in without a card or being accompanied by someone with a card, not even by saying "pharmacy" or any other such magical word. Maybe people abusing that work-around caused Costco to close that loophole? Some non-members would actually go in and feed themselves for free at the sample kiosks, lol. Maybe thats what BK thought he would do or maybe had done before?

So you're saying you've tried it and it didn't work? How odd. I can't vouch for whatever state you're in since I don't know where you are, but I confirmed by calling an Oregon CostCo. I was told that a membership is NOT needed at any Oregon CostCo to pick up prescriptions at the pharmacy. I also called the Richmond CostCo in California and while I didn't inquire about all of CA, the woman told me that a membership is NOT needed at the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions. I'm guessing that's the same for all states since the site I had posted a SS of above was CostCo in general, not a specific local CostCo.

I'm guessing BK didn't know that trick in order to gain entry. Not as smart as he thinks he is, eh? lol

*raises eyebrows*

Between federal law and state laws, this is supposed to be prohibited.

Costco and Sam's Club pharmacies are registered with the DEA because they fill prescriptions for controlled substances (such as ADHD meds) and are legally required to be accessible to the public, meaning non-members can fill prescriptions and access services like vaccinations and health screenings without a membership. However all over-the-counter products require a membership to purchase even if purchased at the pharmacy register.

An Idaho state judge is blocking the release of some graphic photos taken by investigators after Bryan Kohberger killed four University of Idaho students in 2022, ruling that the release would cause "extreme emotional distress" for the victims' families and that it "outweighs the public's interest in how the investigation was conducted or the scrutiny upon government action."

Second District Judge Megan Marshall made the ruling Wednesday, saying the dissemination of "incredibly disturbing" photos across the internet — where the victims' families might inadvertently see them — is an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.

She ordered the city of Moscow to black out portions of the images that show any portion of the victims' bodies or the blood immediately surrounding them.

But the judge said the public also has an interest in seeing investigation records, and so other photos, videos and documents connected to the case can be released, including videos showing distraught friends of the victims on the morning their bodies were found.

Rbbm

Did he want to be seen....out and about and acting normal... and wanted to appear normal?

I am curious about what his Sundays looked like normally.

It's a weirdly long way to drive for a cuppa.

Truth, I don't think there's much that's normal about him, that day or any of the days.
