GUILTY PLEA DEAL ACCEPTED - 4 Univ of Idaho Students Murdered, Bryan Kohberger Arrested, Moscow, Nov 2022 #116

A couple of things I noticed from these new documents.

They all seemed to have fought back. Ethan did not die instantly as I think we all surmised.

Kaylee suffered different injuries than the others in addition to stab wounds. He was absolutely brutal with Kaylee.

They all suffered wounds to the head and face. Very personal.

I guess I'm one off because I never thought Ethan didn't fight back. That never made sense to me no matter how hard I tried to think he somehow didn't fight back.

As for "They all seemed to have fought back"... I must have missed that in regards to Maddie. Which line items made you think she fought back? The other 3, yes, but it's my belief she was first (and also the only target, the others were collateral damage IMO) which to me means Maddie was unaware so never fought back. Kaylee, yes, because Maddie being killed mere inches from her which woke her and she was in fighting mode IMO.

Xana was up and about in the wrong place at the wrong time. Ethan because Xana ran to the "safey" of her room.

Yes, it was so savage. And I really can't understand why. So out of all proportion, even if he did hate one of them for ignoring him. This strong evil man put all his strength into killing them. And it didn't bother him at all. Why didn't he just make a career of boxing?

The team who defended convicted killer Bryan Kohberger says he shouldn't be required to reimburse victims' family members for things like travel and accommodations, in part because the families had GoFundMe accounts for those expenses.

That sounds logical to me.

I mean
one cannot reimburse something that wasn't spent, right? 🤔

I'm ALL for a defence team fighting their bums off for a fair trial. I'm ALL for a defense team fighting tooth and nail to ensure the correct level of justice and verdict is applied to their client. Hell, I'm ALL for a defense team using every skill they collectively possess to show a jury that there is reasonable doubt IF there in fact is!
What I cannot comfortably sit with is a defense team who has a client that has ADMITTED in a court of law that he slinked into a house full of young innocent people in the dead of night, whilst they lay in their beds and proceeded to savagely slaughter them with stabs, slashes and brutal beatings, and despite that admittance and confession, the defense team still put their pen to paper and demand that their admitted murderous guilty felon of a client shouldn't have to pay reimbursement to the families of the young people he hacked to bits for their out of pocket expenses that THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAD TO PAY IF HE HADN'T HAVE MURDERED THEIR BABIES!!!

Just no.

There's being a damn good defense team - which I massively admire and believe that everyone is entitled to - and there is this.

It's sick and shame on AT and her cronies.

ETA - I don't know the full ins and outs of the whole g.f.m.'s and whatnot but if I recall correctly, the bulk of the fundraising talk was regarding the Goncalves and the fundraising that they acquired which I'm not sure how was spent... But what about the Chapins for example? I'm fairly sure they didn't accept any fundraising directly and instead pointed people towards the charity for Ethan. They will have certainly have had out of pocket expenses for travel etc... Not that I think they would accept a single penny from anything to do with that ghoul, but it's the principle! The felon should pay for what he has done - by time locked in a prison being tormented by fellow lags, by financial means... By every mean. He should pay for his crimes.

Sorry, in total disagreement. It's none of the murderer's business how much money the victims' families make from any source. He owes them restitution, take it out of the commissary donations his fans will make, if he's really broke. Leave him $10 per.month for the rest of his sorry azz powdered b-lls life. I suspect the families would have wanted to be any other place on earth than flying to see the smug creepy bleached brow savage murderer of their kids. The implication seems to be that this murderer thinks he can audit the victims resources to decide when HE thinks they've made enough.

I'm sorry 😔

This is just what I understood from the link sent upthread.
I mean
this issue is being handled by lawyers who are specialists of such matters.

But maybe I misunderstood.

My heart is always with the victims and their poor families :(

I don't typically chime in on these kind of things. BUT, it's a legal ruling, period. Follow the rules.

I don't think BK ever held much of a job so I have no sympathy. If he had a job and he took it seriously he would not have the time to plot to murder people period.

I have never heard of a case where somebody drives in circles more, wasting gasoline and accomplishing nothing. Not only has he killed but he has wasted his own life. JMOO

No problem with you, Dotta. Ijust see red when I think of this total creep. But I stick by my first thought, that zero attention should be paid by the government, including this 🤬🤬🤬's free attorney (paid for by taxpayers) to the victims's finances. What's next, the creep will demand that they should have taken a bus to save money? So he wouldn't have to reimburse them for the result of his own savagery?

What is the legal ruling?

"The defense response was filed October 7. A date for a hearing on this matter has not yet been set"

I don't have time to dig for it but I thought it was established previously. Perhaps this is just a challenge or I'm wrong? I'll figure it out when I have a little more time but thanks for pointing out those details.

I'm getting this 😑 Is there any other way to access the new documents do you know please? I can't recall having any issues with links previously but here in the UK we have a whole bunch of new online "safety" poo which could be the reason
What does it say below where it says "What can I do to resolve" [this]? You might have a work around.

That's ok, I seldom ask for links. I don't follow this case much now so it's my own fault I just parachuted in. I really don't go for the government getting into an audit of 🤬🤬🤬 sites. Iirc taxes are paid, and a portion is extracted.by the site ownership.

If they're going to examine extraneous income of victims' families let's shine a light on the free attorneys, the cost to the communiities of solving the case and prosecuting it to the extent it was. I can't imagine the upheaval in the lives of all those family members, the cost in health, job performance, even triplets losing their brother. Shame on the defense for using taxpayer funding to investigate income of the victims.

I wonder what AT and her team billed the state for her response.
