Please Read - Media Appeal

............i brought this over from the media thread........

...on the 'natalie' forum, much speculation has been given to the aruba LE vs US LE...
...in janet's case........have the NC LE dropped the ball here ?
...this wasn' drug realted.....gang related..........it wasn't even "random" according to LE..........WHY NO ARREST?????
...why aren't the NC media demanding more of the NC LE?
...they sure do treat them nice down there................while the suspects bask in the sun....travel the country..........

...it's infuriating......
I brought this over to the media thread:)

I was just thinking about that. Where is NC LE in all of this? We have the 'natalee' forum where LE is tightlipped, but the media is all over them and even being accusatory toward them regarding possibly botching the case. We have the 'groene' forum where LE stated that it was not a random murder and now look! Could the public have been in anymore danger with Duncan on the loose??? All we have is a couple of statements by LE stating, wasn't random, public not in danger. No proof, no confirming suspects, no evidence....just their statements. Why isn't the public in NC demanding more info? Why isn't the media demanding more info? Why isn't the families demanding more info? What makes LE so sure the murderer won't murder again? How do they know the public is not in danger? How do we know that this person isn't traveling around the country, posing a threat to anyone? How do we know this person won't attack another human being while LE is telling us all not to worry?

Perhaps it's time to do another media appeal to more national news stations, like Fox News and CNN?

It may be, I think we should discuss this before we start working on it and how to approach it.

Unfortunately, all the stories today are going to be on BTK.

That statistic ChicoL quoted today has been echoing loudly to me...that the leading cause of death for a pregnant woman is homicide. With the news in Janet's case and two pregnant women missing in Missouri and Philly (Amanda Jones and LaToiya Figueroa) maybe we can approach the media from this angle...?

Ohhhh Julia you put your thinking cap on. That might make a good tip to misterallgood!

One difference in Janet's case (similar to Lori Hacking, in fact) is that no one seemed to be aware she was pregnant. The two missing pregnant women in the news right now are both largely pregnant....one due next week.....and Janet's not missing. I see this more like the Hacking case with the news of the baby basically coming out after the murder.
The pregnancy could have been that "last straw" to turn the tide for someone that does not think like we do. This pregnancy has just blown me away so forgive my ramblings and mutterings......

How about Katie - could she write about this case and the lack of news from LE in her column? That would at least get the fire started somewhere.

It is very important that we mobilize media attention. Now when you go to the NC Court website it lists "no record found" in regards to the embezzlement charges.

Secret deals? :( Let's get some light shined on this area.

Just takes a second to drop an email.
