According to a Toledo police report, 13-year-old Zamarrion Ratliff and 11-year-old Zaveion Ratliff are missing from a home in the 1700 block of Milburn Avenue.

Zamarrion, age 13, is described as a Black male who is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 100 pounds. Police said he has black hair, brown eyes and attends Robinson Elementary in Toledo.

Zaveion, age 11, is described as a Black male who is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 90 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and attends the Leap Program in Holland, according to the report.

That link wasn't working for me, but I found this one:

"One of the boys' family members called police on Tuesday to report the two juveniles missing. In the report, police said they were told that Zaveion left the home on Aug. 30, while Zamarrion has not been heard from since Aug. 15. The circumstances of Zamarrion's departure from the home were not disclosed in the report."

No recent photos available. I don't feel like this one is going to end well.

The way the article is worded, it sounds like someone in the wider family may have reported it. Maybe they hadn't seen the kids in a while and finally reported it?

So a family member reported them after being missing for three weeks but not the parents? Something is fishy about this.

that is what I was wondering. So many times it is someone from outside the home who finally realizes, hey, I haven't seen . . . . in a while. Hoping that is not the case here but one must wonder. I feel like the adopted Deven children case started out just like this.

Oh, no... Never a good sign when it is not the parents that report the child/children missing. Where are these precious boys?

JJ Vallow is another one - he was reported by his grandma.

Not liking this, but hanging onto hope the boys are runaways and hiding out somewhere.

Here's another article:
TPD reports said officers responded to a home on Milburn in Toledo on Tuesday for a report of two missing brothers: 13-year-old Zamarrion Ratliff and 11-year-old Zaveion Ratliff.

Their mother told officers Zamarrion hasn’t been heard from since Aug. 15 and Zaveion left on Aug. 30 and hasn’t returned since.

so Zamarrion, the 13 year old attends Robinson Elementary which appears to serve elementary age and middle school age children. While his younger brother, Zaveion, 11, attends the Leap Program which appears to serve children who may have special educational or behavioral needs.

Zamarrion, the oldest sibling hasn't been seen or heard from for several weeks, while Zaveion went missing several days ago.

According to Robinson's school calendar the first full day back to school for the 13 year old brother should have been August 25th, ten days after he was reported last seen. Zareion on the other hand, was due for his first day back at school on the 14th of August per the Leap Program's calendar. Did he make it to that first day of school? What about the next?

Yeah, I really don't like how this one is shaping up. At all.

So many missing pieces in this story.

What on earth goes through your mind when your 13-year-old child "hasn't been heard from" in over two weeks, and you doing bother to report it?!

In this day and age, some of their friends must have photos of them on their phones.

Agreed. I wonder why their schools don't have pictures? Even if I don't purchase a picture package for my kids the school still takes the picture every year and keeps it in their file.

Okay, is there a custody dispute or anything going on here? Why isn't there a bigger push to find these boys? I just don't feel any urgency, but these boys are still young!

No parent/guardian would wait even a day to call police if their 11- or 13-year-old went out and didn't come home, unless they did not want police to look for their children.
What happened? Poor boys.

ETA: Also, to have no photos of the children is incomprehensible to me.

Is this a joint custody situation where they were not reported missing because it was assumed that they were with the other parent? JMO

I am afraid they were recently reported missing because school has started back and obviously they would be missed. I wonder when the last time someone outside of the home saw them. We have seen similar cases before. Let’s hope these kids just took off and are out there somewhere. Yet it doesn’t bode well when the parents are not the ones who report the children missing. Especially when they went missing supposedly weeks apart.

MOO and Speculation mine own.
