So maybe someone saw someone else at a certain location on life360 or similar?

Otherwise I would think police would already have access to telecommunication data?

Reporter : Out of one of those 450 tip offs, one was a, a tip off to suggest, that Dezi Freeman had been spotted here, or seen here or potentially even a phone pinging to this area, so last night we saw members of the SOG go in & search the area and it will remain blocked of for some time. So the pressure is really mounting on those who are looking after this alleged killer , and the advice is, as we have heard , to do the right thing and call triple zero to organise a surrender plan.

Usually the media know some intel that they can't report , so maybe adding this kind of language is there way of saying there was a ping?? IMO

The police are unlikely to take any chances with Freeman and nor should they, and anyone assisting him is probably taking their life in their own hands.

Hope I'm wrong but hard to see this ending in anything other than a shootout.
