Possible lead in Susan Powell case, 8-18-11

I hope LE swabbed everything really good for drug/poison evidence. I wonder if he loaded the dishes in the dishwasher and ran it. I would just love to see what they have collected in evidence.

Uh oh. Did Josh REALLY take the kids and "go camping" near midnight this past Saturday night? Is Josh maybe UPSET to learn his father sexually harassed Susan as she claimed after all and might be feeling REMORSE? Did his own father lead him to murder his wife out of a sick twisted ego-injury and poor Josh really believed his father was the "good guy"? Are the walls of Jericho starting to crumble? What sane place can Josh go to for shelter with his poor sons now?

And lastly, IS ALINA SAFE ? In light of all of SP's collective statements and actions, I really do worry about her and I hope she has interactions with sane people outside her family that she can trust.

Son married a woman of the LDS faith. Husband was semi LDS due to mom & dad's divorce over the religion? His father left the LDS church 20 years ago and thinks his daughter inlaw loves him? What wrong with that? gah!

I don't think the faith made Susan disappear but perversion might have.

Guess Josh should say "thanks dad"...he will be convicted and maybe daddy too. What a sick twisted sad azz reason for a good woman to be gone. May her sons live on and never look back once they know. Good wishing for the boys plus tons of support from all of us!

I wish I could remember the name...a woman who was murdered several years ago, somewhere in TX...she had left a diary in her desk at work all about the abuse from her husband and not believe anything he might say if she turned up dead or vanished...and eventually, he was in fact convicted of murdering her. He felt she was getting ready to move on, I think, or she was getting ready to do so.

That makes the most sense. IIRC though wasn't there someone else having dinner with them that night, a friend? If so, was the friend a last minute thing? I wouldn't think Josh would want any witness' to Susan being drugged in case something went wrong?

Could this be why the dinner took so long to prepare? He was waiting for the friend to leave but she didn't and then the kids were starting to get fussy with hunger and he figured what the heck, the friend will go away before Susan falls unconscious, and went ahead with the plan.

I don't think smashing a few sleeping pills and dosing one pancake with them takes four hours (or however long it was).

I was just rambling on the net and ran across this about Glen Weaver Park in West Valley. Is this the park JP took the kids sledding that night?

Great article. We would love to know that Susan was sitting on a beach; if she were, in fact doing that, her sons woud be by her side building sand castles.

IIRC the 'heavier' pics where when she was pregnant with the boys. The website is something I avoid; even with current viral program, I don't trust it.

The friend was JoVanna Owings who went over that day to help Susan with the yarn for her crochet project. Joshie must have been pissed when she showed up but seems he proceeded with the "special" brunch he PLANNED.
