https://www.fbi.gov/services/laboratory/biometric-analysis/codis/codis-and-ndis-fact-sheet how codis and ndis works, I don't see anything automated. It says each search is done individually.Someone here(bigcityaccountant?) had a very good post about how the DNA and stuff works and it sounds like they are not automatically cross checked just because both the UP and MP have DNA entered.
Forget about the DNA etc. Namus said :
Hello,
We have forwarded your email to the primary investigator. They will contact you if they require any further information. Based on the case information we have, these cases are ruled out.
Thank you,

Its sounds as though Maryanne Ruffini is ruled out but she is still forwarding it to the investigator as a matter of protocol. Hot Potatoe did you send more than one possible match to Namus? because she said CASES. If so who was the other one.
If they were previously ruled out then it should be listed on Namus, everyone is spinning their wheels on rule outs when the time could be used looking at other leads. Does Namus know how useless it is when people are working hard and spending hours on matches?
Perhaps Tricia needs to get involved contacting Namus with our grievances and concerns, since web sleuths is responsible for finding so many matches, perhaps we could find even more if not for the slow or lame data entry work on the Namus end.
Plenty, (100's if not thousands) plus the case of cali that I always post as an example. Today Websleuths has this on the top of the main page in the news zipper.how many matches has websleuths found so far?
If you are asking a family they will always answer your questions and not care if you use a photo, after all their goal is to find their missing especially if you are willing to help, just tell them you are on web sleuths. I get private messages from people asking to help find their missing family members.I just submitted that one. I agree it's really frustrating. I'm sure it gets lost with their workload but it wouls ultimately save them time if they weren't getting tons of repeat emails about suggestions that have already been ruled out. I was actually half tempted to ask on the public fb page for my suggestion if she had any scars, etc on her legs. As far as matches in my search for potential matches for peaches I actually located a mother who kidnapped her infant daughter 20 years ago via Facebook. I'm having some issue getting the info to the right agency though...
.Her DNA is in NAMUS. I assume they would automatically get a hit if there was a match.
Copying over this post from the Joaquin-Moreno Identified Thread.

According to one of the posters on that thread, If you have a match, the thing to do is to call the coroner''s office listed who has the remains and ask them to test if there is DNA available from the NaMus match.

Basically, from what I gather from reading the thread, submissions should be sent into NamUs AS WELL AS submitted to the coroner's office listed who have the remains.
How about Holly Anne Painter? http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/1509dfon.html
She fractured her left leg 8 years before her disappearance. She went missing from the Toronto area on June 26, 1995. Her debit card was later used in Western New York. (I thought I had already seen this one on here but then I went through the whole thread and couldn't find it so it might have been another thread.)![]()
Thanks! I tried layering the faces to test this potential match. It was kind of tough since the only straight on picture I could find of Holly has her mouth slightly open...Great Find WesternArtist! I like it very much.
Me too, BCA.Great Find WesternArtist! I like it very much.
Here is a short list of possiable matches I found on NamUs and doenetwork

Here is a question for everyone: if they could make sketches of FI Jane after her skull was on OP for 15 years, and one of Manorville Jane after 11, why haven't the made a sketch of John Doe 2000 available since he was found weeks after his murder? Or John Doe 2003 who was found 4 months after his death? Or John Doe 2012 who was found under 5 years after he died?
Come to think it, have the police ever even mentioned that male bodies were dumped with the females torsos in Manorville during all the press conferences on LISK? Hm...
Could it be that LE doesn't WANT these guys identified?
Sure seems strange to me, we should have these damn sketches. SCPD is corrupt and can't be trusted to run this investigation.
I fully agree, this is suspicious. Interestingly, there is an unidentified Hispanic male who was found in East Farmingdale on December 30, 2016 whose case is already entered with a good sketch. He was very petit and wearing women's jeans. I couldn't find any news articles to get a sense of if the circumstances may make this case related but this timeline shows that the resources are there.
