And the internet and cellphones weren't a thing back then, so, he couldn't put his "adds" on things like Craigslist. He had to do it a different way. I don't see how it would have been easy for him to groom girls before the internet and cellphones became commonplace, like they were in 2007 and onwards. He changed his MO because the new MO became more convinient. He may have had to either abduct them the old fashioned way, or chat them up in person before he could use adds and phones.

The nose is an odd thing. I am not sure who the "target" of that drawing was. I'd imagine that, if someone from her family needed to recognize her, they'd had drawn her WITHOUT the crooked nose. But maybe they couldn't reproduce what the nose actually looked like before it was broken. Ideally, they'd had that picture drawn with -and- without the crooked nose. Not just with.

This is true, but Melissa’s cellphone was turned on in Hempstead and I believe voicemail was checked during the time she was missing.

The theory with this is that LISK might have been checking out her phone and turned it on which produced a signal. He wanted contacts from her phone or to check her voicemail to see if anyone had called her concerned etc. he did not spend much time with her phone on.

Whether or not he intentionally turned on the phone in the Hempstead area SPECIFICALLY in order to throw off authorities as to his location is also to be theorized. I do think the location in Hempstead was in a busy area but nearest to a hotel. Was Melissa being kept in a hotel room? We know trafficking victims often can be confined in hotel rooms so much so that entire safety networks have been created for tracking and prevention.

Mack, a Craigslist escort who lived and worked in Philadelphia, was 24 years old when she was last seen in the spring or summer of 2000 in the area of Port Republic, New Jersey. Her partial remains were found in Manorville that November and near Cedar Beach in 2011.

Jessica Taylor's partial remains were also found in the same two body dump locations Gilgo Beach in Mar 2011 and Manorville wooded area in July 2003.

This means if that if Rex Heuermann ever gets linked to Valerie Mack's or Jessica Taylor's murder then this would show two of his body dump locations to be the Gilgo Beach, and the Manorville Wooded area. It would also show that his murder spree began from at least the year 2000 (see below)

Also, the Manorville Wooded area where parts of Valerie Mack's and Jessica Taylor's remains were found would be difficult to access with a normal vehicle as there don't appear to be any proper roads, only what looks to be wooded maintenance access routes.

So I wonder if Rex Heuermann may have used the military style jeep (see below) that's shown on streetview in his front garden, to carry their remains and to more easily access this wooded area.

Interesting theory. I dare say I think that jeep could possibly be the vehicle used to transport victims. If so, I really hope it doesn't get in the public's hand and have people with such poor taste wanting to see it in a museum like OJ's bronco or bundy's beetle.

What a beautiful photo thank you for posting that. It makes my heart break for her just that little bit more. I feel for them all, don't get me wrong, but something about Valerie just grabs me everytime they show all of their photos, I wish I could explain it.

Manorville is the location where remains of two Gilgo Beach murder victims had been found. In November 2000, partial remains of New Jersey native Valerie Mack were found in a brush wooded area.

Also, while he wasn’t charge with Mack today, the court documents have plenty of references to her, given the similarities to the Taylor case, suggesting that charges in the Mack case may be next
