Post Verdict -Working Out The Unresolved Questions

It's really interesting and provides more clarity to see things laid out chronologically. The 2/18/07 email seems to support that she was not in a committed relationship with Travis at that time and further supports that he did not send her anything on Valentine's Day.

Thanks for the hard work. It's much appreciated. I don't think that the relationship was anything like was the DT tried to portray.

One of my pet BS calls was the story that ALV related about CMJA going to a Diamondbacks game on Travis's birthday and him calling her at the game and demanding that she come spend his birthday with him. This would have been almost concurrent with her moving to Mesa, something that he absolutely did not want. With his active social life, I sincerely doubt that he did not have plans, nor do I believe that he would have wanted to spend his birthday with her. There was also the picture of a birthday cake that she made and posted to her MySpace page the day after his birthday (I can't access her MySpace page anymore).

The more I look at things, the more I agree with you, GC. The recognized relationship between the two of them was very brief, and I'm wondering, based on what I've seen from Chris and Sky Hughes, if it wasn't simply some kind of experiment for Travis--testing the waters with Jodi. The rest of it seems entirely sexual--nothing else. That was Travis's big mistake.

Here is this 30-year-old man who has been repressed sexually--ok, there was Deanna--but really repressed. That's not healthy. But he made his choices and ended up with a mentally, morally, and emotionally deficient individual. His texts or emails or whatever they were from May 26 show that he knew she was a sociopath; he knew she was mentally and morally deficient well before any psychologists evaluated her and came up with essentially the same conclusion.

He must have been so horrified.

The thanks button just wasn't enough Janx- very well said and I concur!

Thanks much Frigga, and in addition to the terrible deficiencies that Arias has, there's also some kind of backwater culture at work here--the main desire to "find a man," the cosmetics, photoshops, boob job. This combination was lethal.

No new court minutes, thus no new updates from Friday's closed hearing.

Next oral argument (from JSKS' court calendar):

CR2008-031021 1/13/2014 9:30 [AZ time] Oral Argument - Undesignated State Of Arizona v Jodi Ann Arias

Still no re-sentencing trial date set.

I suggest continuing to check Maricopa County Superior Court minutes for case CR2008-031021, watching the media, and checking this website for more information.

I wish I had the page of texts right before the one I put the screen shot up of. But it seems that day, the went from phone to text to Iming to email, didn't they? They used ALL forms of communications that day.

And it's the following week, that Mimi says she last saw Travis. It was probably June 1 or 2. I think it was June 2nd for FHE. She said in her testimony that Travis had told her that Jodi had hacked into his social accounts and email. I can't remember if he said bank account, as well.

Also, I believe it was May 17, 2008 when one of his friends said he'd decided to break the final tie with Jodi and I believe that friend said Travis had shown him the kiss-off email. I read this in an article. I need to find it and link it, but I was so tired last night, I completely forgot what article I was looking at. I want to say I was looking at Radaronline.

Oh, when did she write him that "give me credit for editing email?" I have the email, but the date appear to be cut off of the top.

I'm looking for that e-mail date, had a text link but only got **** so guess it's not allowed.

May 16th she wrote the 'goodbye email', is that the same one where she wants credit for the editing?

You'll find that May 16, 2008 message, an apparent email, here.

The email message shows her true pedant colors, and her attempted manipulation of him to treat her not just as a female friend, but a girlfriend of whom he was proud and with whom he wanted to be publicly associated -- which, by that time, she certainly was not and he even more surely did not.

It is discussed, from the DT's perspective, beginning at 2:56 or so into the clip.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64j1x2UpxZM

Out of context as it is, I do not know whether she actually sent it or he actually read it. As she apparently hacked, peeped, eavesdropped and otherwise deprived him of any private communication after entering his world, we cannot know for sure.

I strongly suspect that any number of messages purportedly sent 'by' TA or 'from' him 'to' her could actually have been authored by her, sent by her, and then deleted from his "Sent Items" only to remain in her Inbox and archived for future nefarious schemes. Similarly, it would have been as simple a matter for her to author messages, send them to him, delete them from his "Inbox" and "Deleted Items", but retain them in her "Sent Items" to bolster future claims. If only he were still around to tell us.

For just as surely as he wanted her out of his world -- objectified sexual gratification notwithstanding -- she had decided that no other woman would have him as husband.

Fueled by her warped 'sociopathic logic', it was simpler to kill the one person whose death could prevent this permanently, rather than having to 'off' any number of potential future paramours without having LE catch on and end the spree.

And while I cannot prove this, I suspect that for the lying torture murderess, this did not go nearly far enough to pay him out for what she deemed his callous, evil ruination of her plans for them together. Because I also believe that her pre-meditation plan, in order to be completely fulfilled, included more Mormon-forbidden sexual intercourse yet again followed by his murder immediately thereafter. This would be to her and to him, at least in her mind if not his, a final act designed specifically to prevent him from repenting of this particular sexual sin event prior to entering eternity, thereby -- according to his church's belief as she understood it, and her own selfishly wicked perverse hope -- damning him to perdition. Why?

Because Hell hath no fury like a sociopath scorned. [With apologies to Congreve.]

I still think the disk she tried to load onto his computer contained material that would have been damaging to his career and his relationships and not photos as she reported. jmo

I totally agree LambChop. Her intention was to smite him, IMO.

Smite: the use of god-like force in a way that cleaves, crushes or shatters said object or person.

She would not rest until she destroyed him in every way imaginable- he was doomed from the beginning.

Poor Travis.

I have vacillated for some time now on the fact that I wish she would be given LWOP and just be gone but with the conversation here and reminders of her pure and utter evilness I see that this just won't do. I hope the new jury agrees. God speed to JM and the jury- for Travis' loved ones sake.

I've been thinking of that Flickr account with the six pictures and something occurred to me, I have a Flickr account solely because another site I use connects directly with Flickr for photo hosting. I just upload them at Flickr, go to the second site, click the search button, my album opens and I select the Flickr-uploaded pic I want to be seen on the second site. I wonder if those 6 pics were uploaded for a similar purpose? And what would that other site be that connects with Flickr? (I'm sure it's not the one I use as it's yarn craft related. lol)

And, the idea of her getting rejected was not going to happen. The old: "If I can't have you, no one else will"; on both sides.

I do believe Travis was trying to give guidance but when he realized she was not good for him, he was trying to be Mr. Nice Guy. Jodi just reeled him back in with the thing he desired most in his life.

They both had trouble distinguishing the physical attraction and the reasons why they were not compatible.

If this one is the one you speak of, it is interesting as so contradictory.

My god does she ever ramble on and on and on aimlessly. She is trying to sound intelligent and wrongfully assumes she is.

Anyway, this is what she actually says in that lengthy email:
Travis, need to let you know that
I hate Deanna, Chris, Sky, and your other friends.
I'm hurt because you didn't give me credit for correcting your grammar.
I can tell you don't want me to be your girlfriend.
But don't worry about pleasing me because I can still stalk you 1000 miles away.
Jodi.

I appreciate your diligence to inform us of these things. :seeya:

The problems with this email are bountiful, beginning with her testimony that she wasn't mad that he hadn't given her credit. She claims she was just "bummed." You do not send this long piece if you are just "bummed."

And her passive aggressive poem she wrote him on May 19th. The 2nd to last line was, "May your days be filled with stimulation and just not insimulation...."

In`sim´u`late
v. t. 1. To accuse.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Insimulate

In her testimony, nurmi asks how she hoped the poem would have been received. She says she expected a compliment like Travis had complimented her other work.

Really, Jodi? A compliment for a poem that passively aggressively "insimulates" him of "insimulating" you?

Let me just add, Merriam doesn't seem to recognize this word when I looked it up. HLN writes that she actually wrote "in simulation."

sim·u·la·tion (smy-lshn)
n.
1. The act or process of simulating.
2. An imitation; a sham.
3. Assumption of a false appearance.
4.
a. Imitation or representation, as of a potential situation or in experimental testing.
b. Representation of the operation or features of one process or system through the use of another: computer simulation of an in-flight emergency.

And below that definition:

1. imitation or enactment, as of conditions anticipated.
2. the act or process of pretending; feigning.
3. an assumption or imitation of a particular appearance or form; counterfeit.
4. the representation of the behavior or characteristics of one system through the use of another system, esp. using a computer.
5. a conscious attempt to feign some mental or physical disorder.

So what the heck is she really saying?

Thanks for that.

I think what she is trying to get across to Travis is that she is fine without him, she thinks she is so darn smart, and trying use her charm to win him back over. At the end, Travis was done with her and she knew it. Travis just wanted sex and she knew that too.

Do we have her whole 18 page letter to fire Nurmi somewhere? I'm curious about the list of things she claims Nurmi didn't do, especially as it relates to this Chaitanya Lay.

Was Lay a friend of Jodi's for real? (LOL just to ask it as a legit question.)

When I listened to ALV again, probably for the first time since I had always fallen asleep on her, she was talking at the end of the timeline about TA's back and forth with Lay, which indicated that they'd at least had oral sex. I believe it was learned about via IM's or text messages.

Since Jodi wanted the information in so bad, I can only speculate that her snooping through his accounts and learning about Lay added "gas cans" to her angry fire.

Did Travis Alexander Sleep With One of Jodi Arias' Friends? Jodi Reveals Text Message - YouTube

Read at : 0:21 seconds

Quote from link above.

"Travis having sexual relations with another woman might have been hurtful to Jodi in itself but this particular woman, Chaitanya Lay, was seen in a photograph sitting beside Jodi in a limo in one of Jodi's MySpace photo albums. As of the video upload date (10/25/2013), Chaitanya is still listed as one of Jodi's MySpace connections. Could it be that Jodi was not just upset that Travis slept with another woman, but slept with one of her friends?
