It's possible Darryl held no hard feelings for JA leaving him with the house because he also left to move back to Monterey to be near his son. It would be obvious to him there was no way JA would have been able to support that home on her own. jmo

My opinion about Darryl is that he was still in love with her. I can't tell which is correct--whether the missionaries came in the summer or fall--but he claimed she stopped having sex with him because she was getting all religious and wanted to save herself for her husband. Then Jodi claims to basically have cut him off 4 days after meeting Travis. Darryl moved in I want to say December of 2006, maybe January. I recall Jodi writing something to Travis around that time about her interactions with Darryl. I need to find it because all this signified to me that Darryl was still carrying the torch, and we know that penis picture sent around that time belonged to Darryl.

The defense didn't bring in one woman who'd gotten penis pics from Travis, so I don't think he was moving that fast, sending his penis out. I don't think he did it till that one time Jodi was all talking about licking it and sitting on it 2/26/08.

I looked again at the transcript of Paul Stern on Dr. Drew's show, he talks about loaning her money, having met her at Ventana (he lived there but never worked there), her being frantic that night, but never mentions where they went that evening, also found a twitlonger page with a timeline going back long before she killed Travis, no luck there either.

Yeah, I think she was starting her tale of the skateboarders with Ryan, she had to say something when they got pulled over 15 minutes after meeting. And she had to make up a story about the cuts on her hands, she's a waitress, just made up the name of the restaurant (she probably heard that song on the radio soon before being pulled over lol).

I believe the posting date of the King City purchase (6/05) is correct, we just can't tell the transaction date or time from the bank statement, but other posting dates are three days after the receipt dates, so I think they are correct and posted 3 days after transaction, and we know she was in that area and travelling south, and we have no other gas recipts until she gets to Pasadena, so it's more than likely she had to stop after Lodi and before Pasadena, and 51. and change in gas sounds about right for a full tank with CA gas prices.

I was out this evening and passed by a couple gas stations, here the Shells and Valeros are different stations so I'm wondering/doubting if the Valero receipt could be this purchase (since the bank statement says Shell Oil) but maybe CA is or was different in '08, since Valero was a refiner and gas stations (here at least) didn't take the Valero name until the late '90s or early '00s. I'm probably confusing you again. lol

I'll attach the bank statement so you can look through it, it's the largest (most detail) one I could find. Pay no attention to the red arrows, not mine. The King City transaction is the first one.

Yeah, wow. They are off by several days. That would be so confusing if you're trying to track your expenses through that without receipts. I'm in GA, and I have never heard of Valero.

I read some letter she wrote Ryan in 2009 where she told him that she never went to Sinclair's in response the the skateboarding issue. She told him it was Starbucks. I do not know where the Sinclair's reference comes from.

Weird, Day 6 ends with Melendez on the stand and Day 7 begins with Nurmi's cross, I'll look more.

ETA: So far I can't find it either, see mentions of tawnidilly having trouble, I remember seeing his testimony and don't recall the stream being out that morning, really odd.

ETA2: After thinking more about it, I had to watch some of the first few days on YTs, not live stream, guess that's why had confusions about the calls, I don't think I ever saw JM's direct with Joey, maybe only his redirect. I'll have to look into it more tomorrow.

As you know, I came to the actual trial portion of this saga after hearing that Jodi was taking the stand. Before that, I still thought I was waiting on the trial. I watched everything on youtube to catch up, and after reading recaps of his testimony, I could have sworn I had already heard the information and seen it. It's so weird that it's not locatable. I actually wanted to see if the camera man had captured the logs on the big screen.

I might be starting to question it myself, but if it did--She tells Travis that she's going to Utah on that call. And he asks her, "What are you going there for?" in a normal tone, and he seems to could care less. She recounts that to Flores as if Travis was all anxiously asking that question.

While I'm on the topic, Geeves, I'm working on the text messages.

So the texts on 5/11 say 9:00, but they keep talking about going to bed. So count back 7 hours, and it's really 2am.

The Steve texts say 5/10 at 2:41. I'm assuming that's am, so it was really 5/9 about 7:41pm.

So, if I'm right:

4/29--Travis says on Myspace that he wants to take pics of her in the woods.
5/2--the incredibly long sex text he sent her
5/9--steve text issue.
5/10--sex call
5/11--Travis looking at her pictures & texting her about them.

Valero is an oil refinery, until several years ago convenience stores that they sold gas through had other names like Country Store and such, then they suddenly they put their names on all the stores. We had one 'rebranded' down the street from us and best I can recall it was late '90s or early '00s when Valero did that.

I think posting dates are always a few days ahead of transaction dates and I think credit card billing statements would show both, but for debit cards you'd have to estimate the transaction date without a receipt I suppose.

It's just bizarre that he could be so mad at her in between all of the sexy talk, phone and text. I know he was easily forgiving but man, it's so weird. Thanks for nailing down the dates.

You know, I just realized-- I've never paid close attention to my card purchase dates, just the names of the stores and amounts. I guess since I know where I've been, as long as names and amounts looked right, I never sat and thought, "Gee...did I really go to Kroger 12/22 or was it 12/18?"

That's a good question, do you know if JA knew anything about PPL before the convention where she met Travis in late '06? Maybe through the missionaries? I figured that's how she found out about PPL but never saw that confirmed.

I have no idea when she actually met Gus, I suppose it's possible they met at the same convention but I never really thought about it. His testimony was all over the place, and all that stuff with who was in the car with him and he wanted to take the 5th and not say or write it, and then saying she called him the night Travis was killed instead of the night he was found, it's hard to believe anything he says.

Remember how mad Travis was at Sky and Chris? Which I think he had a right be--but remember how quickly they said he was over it? But--if you notice--he doesn't forget, either. Like when on 5/26, he said it was just as bad or worse than the fictitious man she said was emailing her. THAT's a reference to a year earlier when she claimed she had a stalker in Yreka.
