Post Verdict -Working Out The Unresolved Questions

I actually felt bad for Wilmott the day that Juan revealed the back account and extra receipt. She looked caught in the headlights.

I think defending this whachadoodle is tough on a normal day but adding all the lying and the hiding and all the other stuff they have to deal with, like her tweeting, Must be excruciating for her.

But I agree she came off snarky at times and objected way too much over nonsense.

BBM: for. sure. But like I said, I think her (somewhat understandable) dislike for Juan began to spill over into how she handled the case and she began to act a little unprofessionally and mean. She should have not made it so personal. I don't exactly care for her though.

I am going to list out the greatest moments in my life:

The birth of my daughter
My wedding day
The day the Mavericks won the championship
The day Juan Martinez busted Jodi on her gas can lie.

I am sure it wasn't the best day Willmott's life or career, lol. But I much enjoyed Jodi's deer in the headlights look. Her face said it all. She knew she got caught. She doesn't even talk about them now. I love it.

I never saw anything as masterful as Juan that day. He got her. He got her good.

And then when he called in the Walmart associate?

Oh my gosh. I want him on TV all the time trying cases!

Wilmott was out matched.

Dude...when even a sociopath has to say, "alright, ya got me...well played," you know they got got good. She didn't cop to the lie, but she may as well have. She didn't even try and make an excuse for the 19 dollars and she couldn't hide it in her face. You don't see many prosecutors that are that thorough and diligent.

I have been watching Martinez' cases on youtube, Doug Grant, Scott Falater, Bryan Stewart, Wendi Andriano because he's just too good. He's a thrill to watch.

I know people are so tired of Arias and so am I but a chance to watch Juan go after her again is really fueling me.

BBM The only time I felt bad for JW was when JA draped her arm over JW's shoulder to show off her wonky finger. IMO, JW looked like she wanted to run away screaming! Awkward! I still do not understand why KN was forced to defend her. That does not seem right but I know almost nothing about the legal process.

Well, I realize not many people are too interested or care where Jodi's small peanuts goes. But if anyone ever does ping onto her, I just wonder what can be done.

And like I said, I don't think she's even doing it for the money, she's doing it for the attention and to bother people. She lives for that.

ALSO, she does have a commissary that is at times thousands of dollars big. That is her money and should go to the family.

The chances of her selling enough artwork (and I use that term loosely) yearly to be required to file an income tax return is slim, and any moneys going to the fund are donations that cannot be deducted by the donors as it is not a recognized charity (and is not taxable income to the donee), as long as people don't donate more than the gift tax laws allow per year then I don't see any tax problems. Besides, she has plenty of other problems with the law that she won't escape from.

That must have come in within the last hour or so, I just checked the docket not too long ago. Speedy-good find, gc. :)

You and me both, SS. :)

Speaking of WalMart, I had to return something a couple weeks ago, they circled the item on the receipt, ran another receipt showing the money returned and stapled that receipt to the original one and gave me both. JA went up against two behemoths (WM and JM) and was squish-squashed, like a grape.

There are several motions and now this objection THAT WE WANT TO READ! Seems strange that the news outlets are not as interested as we are. I am gagging to read these. May not make it through the long weekend. ``````````

LOL I'd like to feast my eyes on them too.

An explanation of the subpoena by Joey Jackson:

"While I have not spoken with the Defense team for Arias nor any sources in Arizona, I have looked at the subpoena filed by Jennifer Willmott. In it, she requests all phone records from the jail regarding calls in which her client was a part from January 1, 2013 to August 1, 2013. The best I can determine, the defense needs to know the following in preparing for her punishment phase retrial: what the substance of those calls were, who they were with, when they took place, exactly what JA said, who she said it too, when she spoke with them, and any information that may have been conveyed between her and anyone else. While JA could simply tell her lawyers this information, the stakes here are way too high for her lawyers just to depend upon what she tells them. JA may be wrong in what she tells her lawyers, may mislead them, may be interpreting what she said differently than what really happened during the conversation, or may leave out (on purpose or otherwise) critical information. That said, in preparing for the retrial, the defense team needs to know what else the prosecution can use against JA in a harmful way. And while discovery and the sharing of information by the prosecution with the defense is commonplace and even required, the defense is in just as good a position as the prosecution in conducting due diligence (doing their home work) to get what they need so as to be prepared for the case. Their client's live depends upon their arguments, preparation, and the ability to manage any surprises that may undermine their efforts to save her life."

I just love Joey Jackson! Joy of life is written all over his face & it's infectious, yet he is more thoughtful than any other lawyer/commentator. And polite, "may mislead them".
This subpoena is not typical prep, so we know Jennifer Willmott is onto her defendant.

In a nutshell, it would seem that the DT does not trust their client and thus the reason for the subpoena. Is that an accurate summation?

I think this is more about them not look like goobers in court again. JA left them hung out to dry last time.

since this is the unresolved questions thread...

I have tried every photo editor under the sun & I still can't tell exactly what's in that hall photo. Another poster previously speculated it was a shoe...but it doesn't look anything like a shoe to me at all. And the dark area appears to be blood - not just a shadow.

here's a lightened/enlarged version

I kept hoping they would have had that photo guy from the trial look at the other photos (besides Travis eye) and enlarge/enhance them.

IMO, it's Travis' back with Jodi holding his arms over his head. The blood track that you see was compared to the blood track in the foot photo and it appears to match. So that is, imo, his shoulder.

This is just my opinion though. I could definitely be off and am open to other interpretations because I still am not 100% sure of what I am seeing. Other people have speculated that it's Travis wrapped in his bed sheet. But I don't think that his sheet was found in the washer but the dryer and, like I said, the blood trails seem to match.

Good question though!

I'm pretty sure it's her hands picking up his foot, if you look closely at the blood track, I believe those are his toes being pulled upward (big toe lowest) and to the left is her hand underneath, lifting upwards. It's what I see currently, anyways. lol

It doesn't show in your close-up but at the bottom of the full pic you can see movement, what seems like right to left and under the camera, still can't tell if it's a hand or foot, but mostly it makes me wonder how something can move under the camera if the camera is on the floor?

Oh, and up in the very far right corner, it looks like a silver door knob, I 'think' it's the inside knob of the linen closet door, the clothes closet door opens into the closet and the linen door opens towards the bathroom sink (away from the hall), so the only knob it seems it could be is the inside linen door. Someone earlier was asking about blood and such on the linen door, this is the pic I found of after (tawnidilly's) showing the print powder on the door. I don't know if I have a pic from CSI showing much visible of that door.
