Preliminary Report Human Remains are not Hailey

This is horrible. Like a big game of telephone.... the message gets so convoluted after a while. Something went horribly wrong here and someone needs to answer as to why.

Thanks! I am just sitting here sick to my stomach and shaking!!! Why in the hell did both BD and SA come back to town then? I was sure they camem back because they thought it was HD. If they did this, wouldn't they KNOW it wasn't her...so no need to rush back???? I am so damn confused and mad!

That close to SA home, Hailey missing, SA a suspect. This scares me even more.

This was my immediate thought: Maybe we have the right perp and the wrong victim.

It just seems SO unlikely for this body to be within a mile of SA's alibi for that morning. I mean, what are those odds? And what kind of clothing or items with the remains indicated it might be Hailey? Do any of those missing young men have long hair? Folks speculated the body had been there for between six months and two years-- kimster's list of regional missing had the most recent as 2003/9 years ago. Not adding up for me.

Maybe the media got it wrong. Where did the rumours of the long hair come from? LE, as far as I know, never confirmed anything.

I think to speculate that Shawn may be responsible for this unknown man's death is wrong, imo.

I'm not defending the guy but just because it's not Hailey and the body was found a mile from his mom's house doesn't make him a suspect in this man's death.

I still believe and hope Hailey is alive but if she is not and Shawn is responsible, he hid her well, imo. Not a mile away from his mom's house!!

Couple of things. Is it possible the police floated this rumor to see how Billie and Shawn would act when they heard the news?

Did someone in the police department simply jump the gun.

If I remember correctly the news articles quoted law enforcement sources right?

Of course law enforcement sources does not always mean police. Could be an administrative assistant's assistant right?

I just don't know what to think, Tricia! I just want some answers. This is wrong and shouldn't happen again. I can't even imagine what those who know and love Hailey are going through.

I just keep waiting for the news to come and say, okay, we tricked you, it really is Hailey. I don't wish the precious girl dead, I just want her to be found and justice to be done. I wonder if BD or SA said a little "no s***" when the news came out. Will be interesting to see who it is. I can agree with wrong victim, right perp. ARRGGHH.

There is just something I can't put my finger on here....but it's not feeling right, who the heck is this? And for them to think it was Hailey, the bodies must have been about the same age, same time frame etc. I don't remember anyone else missing.....

It may be someone connected to the immigration facility nearby or maybe it is the 19 yr old hispanic male, but I don't remember his stats (height). I think they will be asking the employee's of those companies some questions...shortly. IMO

I feel so bad for the deceased family but so glad it's not Hailey!!!! :rose:

I remember the worker who found the remains said the hand looked like it could be that of a young child.

Is there a missing young boy from that area?

My heart is breaking for whoever has been found and their family unless one of their family members had something to do with it.

Someone almost got away with murder.

I am beyond shocked! When I came to work on Wednesday morning and opened up Fox News and one of the main headlines said "Human Remains found, Could they be Hailey Dunn?" I came right on Websleuths to read all about it. Geez, I can't say it was us that really jumped the gun, it was the Media... I can't imagine how the people that care for Hailey feel? I bet a bit of mixed emotions....

I hope they are able to identify this UID so it will give another family some closure!
