I imagine his suit will have been arranged here and is waiting for him in London, along with a world class tailor ready to do last minute adjustments. There is no way the palace will have allowed or expected him to buy his own clothes , or travel economy class on his own steam.

I’m never a Daily Mail fan (though they are great on the photo front and are usually more daring in reporting than the more reputable rags, as sleuthers we benefit from this) but they have behaved deplorably these last few weeks. Sensationalised bull. Meghan’s dad must be bricking it, the whole world watching him. Yikes!

I totally agree with you. The news articles dissecting every moment of Meghan’s life have been outrageous. The Daily Mail and Daily Mirror have behaved in an abominable way. I post links from them very reluctantly. We are not interested in where her family members live or what they think about anything. I have a real concern that Meghan’s father could be in danger of being kidnapped when he gets home and held for ransom by criminals where he lives, if it is as dangerous as the Daily Mail claims.

She is a tart with a lot of baggage. She will never be dignified enough to represent royalty.

Well Daddy must have gotten a little royal pocket change to help him make the trip. Last evening's news showed him

hustling 2 huge potted flower arrangements to the porch of Meghan's mother's house. Weird. Maybe momma put

the word out to the royals to send $$ and this was her thank you from her ex. Who knows?? MOO.

A picture has been released of the document signed by the Queen giving her official royal seal of approval for Prince Harry to marry Meghan Markle.

The Queen signed the Instrument of Consent - an elaborate notice of approval, transcribed in calligraphy - in March, paving the way for her “dearly beloved grandson” to marry the former actress.

Harry took Meghan to meet the Queen for afternoon tea at Buckingham Palace in October last year to introduce her to the woman he wanted to wed.

Although the monarch was unlikely to have withheld her blessing, she would only have said "no" on the advice of the Prime Minister, whom she will have informed.

I can just imagine Prime Minister Theresa May saying Harry shouldn’t marry Meghan to the Queen and the fallout if she did. Thankfully the Queen didn’t turn around and say no you’re not marrying Meghan find someone else.

Nope, that’s not Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s new wax figures—it’s cake.

To celebrate their upcoming royal wedding on May 19, UK-based baker Lara Mason created a life-size version of the couple that is completely edible.

Mason, who was commissioned by Cake International to make the cake, revealed in a press release that the creation can feed over 500 people and was made with 300 eggs, 33 lbs. of flour, 33 lbs. of butter, and 33 lbs. of sugar.

Does anyone else find this cake creepy?

“Meghan Markle's father has secretly collaborated with a British paparazzi photographer to stage a series of pictures – despite pleas from Prince Harry for the media to leave his future father-in-law alone.

Thomas Markle, who will walk his daughter down the aisle at Windsor Castle on Saturday, has been caught on CCTV willingly posing for faked photographs that have been sold to newspapers around the world. Together with other pictures taken with his co-operation, they will have netted up to £100,000.

The astonishing footage obtained by The Mail on Sunday shows the 73-year-old former lighting director arriving at an internet cafe with photographer Jeff Rayner. Minutes later the pair are seen preparing to photograph Mr Markle while he is sitting at a computer looking at a news story about his daughter and Prince Harry.

Now that we know the photos were set up, it almost seems like a spoof of paparazzi. It certainly got me! Does Markle have a quirky sense of humor, perhaps? Did he owe the photographer a favor? Can’t beat ‘em so join ‘em?

At least I learned a new word...scunnered: To be sick of. :)

If I was preparing for my wedding and had all this rubbish going on around me, I'd say to heck with it all and elope!

It’s a well used word here in Scotland most of my family are from Glasgow where it comes from. Thank you for taking the time to find out what it means.

Can you imagine if they got married in Gretna Green (a famous place to elope or get married in Scotland) or went to Vegas? The fallout from the press and Royal Family would be incredible.

It’s amazing all the commercial rubbish that has been brought out for the Royal Wedding biscuits and cakes, tea towels, tea pots, plates, salt and pepper condiment sets etc, etc who buys this stuff? I think it will end up a public holiday with no work getting done and everyone using it as an excuse to get paralytic drunk.

<snipped for focus>

I love new words! My great great grandmother was Scottish and we spent a little time touring in 1978. Beautiful country! Off topic, but funny. Our train pulled into Arbroath on a Sunday afternoon and hordes of people were getting on as we got off. I wondered what was going on. Was there an emergency? It turned out it was the end of a “bank holiday” and everyone was going home. :D

I wondered about the $70 a night motel.

I think it was a total joke as well as the buying of gas x. I think it is a chuckle for the dad

I think it was probably a joke too, and I would not be surprised if his future son-in-law thought it was hilarious. Who knows? They may even have been in cahoots, pulling a prank on the press!

Does anyone know whether or not Harry has ever met (in person) either of Meghan's parents?

Yes.
Mum
Prince Harry flew Doria out to Toronto to join Meghan and himself at the Invictus Games in October. Royal experts said Harry’s decision to invite Meghan’s mum to join them at the closing ceremony of his Invictus Games was “hugely significant.”
They said that flying yoga instructor Doria Ragland 2,500 miles from LA to Toronto to be seen alongside them in the VIP box suggested an engagement announcement was imminent.

According to reports, Prince Harry met Meghan's father Thomas during a trip to Canada - and was won over by the Prince after he started dating his daughter in 2016.“He first met Prince Harry about six months ago out in Toronto,” Meghan's brother told the MailOnline in January 2017. “He’s pretty happy about Harry and he’s extremely proud of her. They have an amazing relationship, they're very close and they always have been."

No offense to Prince Harry (I feel he has really grown into his role), but he is not exactly the most "dignified" royal either. So they are a good match for each other. The controversial royal and the Hollywood divorceè. "Don't throw stones," as they say. Prince Harry is in no position to throw.
