Still awaiting my invite....

I might to join the conversation tomorrow for the wedding. It starts here at 2pm - a reasonable hour!

Ha! Mine hasn’t arrived either. Two p.m. is definitely a reasonable hour. I’m still debating 4:00 a.m. Due to insomnia, I would have been up if the wedding had been this morning.

Palace damage limitation finally kicks in with a rare opportunity for Charles to look good by doing the honours of walking Meghan up the aisle and the walkabout of Harry and William in Windsor this afternoon http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...s-excitement-hours-marries-Meghan-Markle.html
and Doria, looking serene and Meghan now safely ensconced in the luxury of Cliveden. And Lordy, there is a symbol of a sun (what's that?) and 21 degrees, perfect temp. I'm hoping for once the weather forecast is reliable.

I've done some research on Princess Anne's previous wedding outfits so hoping to be able to identify it when I see it. Shock of the day would be if she has something new. Hoping Beatrice does not wear another IUD on her head. Understand the ghastly Beckhams will be there, predicting Victoria won't crack a smile at any point. And rumours of Clooney and Amal? Hope the choral music is good and there is a certain air of solemnity in the church, call me old-fashioned. And for some shots of the chapel ceiling which is amazing. And the tombs!

Tonight on CNN: Anderson Cooper is LIVE from Windsor at 8:00PM (Eastern). Followed by CNN Special Report: Harry and Meghan at 9:00PM.

My alarm is set for 5:00AM (Eastern). No peonies at the marketplace but I got some pretty pink tulips. I considered getting some Bassett's Licorice Allsorts but I always eat too many :blushing: I remembered that I have some licorice spice tea and will think of those lovely licorice candies :) Bay's Original English Muffins and local Just Delicious Scones.

I was looking forward to watching the Royal Wedding on Ultra HD on sky news but I have just discovered they are wheeling out the dreadful Kay Burley to present it. How this woman is employed doing this job I do not know. I need to find another channel now :mad::mad::mad: Any recommendations?

The BBC? At least you'd avoid any ad breaks.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle really will be dedicating themselves to each other heart and soul today – after including a classic Ben E King song in the service.

Gospel group The Kingdom Choir will perform the singer’s Stand By Me, along with Etta James’s version of Amen/This Little Light of Mine.

And the couple’s modern spin on a royal wedding also takes in very contemporary vows.

Meghan will not promise to “obey” when she marries her prince today at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, and the couple will be pronounced as “husband and wife” rather than “man and wife”.

They will also refer to each other as “Harry” and “Meghan” as they say their vows, using the names they are known by rather than their given names – and not including middle or surnames.

Is Prince Charles just walking Meghan down the aisle or is he giving her away too?

I think they're omitting the part of the ceremony where the minister asks who giveth this woman to this man, so basically he's just walking her down the aisle.

I'm glad Megan has her mother with her, the one member of her family who hasn't embarrassed her.

Oh never underestimate the power of a wonderful mommy.
It makes me miss mine, how she was there through thick and thin.
Meghan is in good hands. Her mom, and Prince Charles...
I'm going to need a lot of Kleenex (tissues).

I'm very so very happy for Prince Harry. The one tragic image of him at his mum's funeral is replaced by joy so many years later.

I found out I have to pick one of my kids up at 5am tomorrow morning from a high school all night thing (school sponsored) so I guess I’m watching live!

I send prayers out to Texas.
The tears of happiness have turned to tears of sorrow.
It's all in a pool of I don't know what.
Anyone here in Texas, I send my love.
And for Meghan and Harry, I wish them a beautiful wedding and celebration, and a life full of meaning and happiness.

We didn't do this, either, because we felt strongly that my parents weren't losing me - they were gaining him! So we had both sets of parents come up & instead of saying "who gives this woman away" they said "we welcome this new person into our family".

Yes, this makes sense. I'm trying to remember all things... Was born, baptized, confirmed into the Esposipal Church here in the USA.

I am a choir girl. I threw spitballs with the boys in the pews. Ha!

But seriously, the music I learned was so exquisite.

In Diana's funeral there was a piece I spent time tracking down. (Early sleuth) And I discovered the modern classical composer John Tavener. Oh, how he was exquisite is beyond measure.

So way beyond princess Di's funeral there was a discovery of magnificent music.

Maybe this was one of her gifts? I take it that way.

I hope Harry knows how much the music spoke for his mum.
