The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their way to Frogmore House reception.

This Stella McCartney dress is stunning. It reminds me of a young Ali Macgraw in the 70's. The look is sexy in its sophistication. And Meghan wears it well. Of course, a handsome Prince Harry, whisking her off into the sunset in an electric E class Jag is just pure romance.

Always good for some happy news to show up once in awhile.

I really liked Kate’s second dress look, if I was getting married and was younger. But it would not have suited for ceremony. Neither of Meghan’s blew me away though she looks womderful in both.

OT but my favorite show is Escape to the Country, found on Netflix, Britbox and tons of episodes on Youtube...people looking for homes in villages all over England and Scotland. I love seeing the villages and character homes, makes me very envious compared to US houses. There are hundreds of episodes and a few of the presenters are amazing (especially Alistair, Jules and Nikki, fyi lol). I am a total Anglophile when it comes to television and books.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE Escape to the Country! I don't have Netflix but my neighbor that I babysit for does and that's how I discovered it! I didn't know there were episodes on YouTube though! Thanks for that info. Lol, never even thought about looking there.

What a perfectly beautiful wedding! I loved it from beginning to end. They are such a lovely couple and seem to be very much in love. So many sweet little moments between them today. I loved the gospel choir's rendition of Stand By Me!

I wish them every happiness. Now, babies!!!

“Prince Charles's 'off the cuff' speech at Harry's wedding reception was well received by guests, as he made jokes about changing his son's nappy, a guest revealed.

The next in line to the throne joked with guests at the afternoon reception in St George's Hall, which was hosted by the Queen, as Charles joked that Prince Harry had 'turned out well'.

After the speech, Elton John performed a number of songs to the 600 guests in attendance who tucked into canapes and cake.

A guest at the reception said: 'There was no mention of Diana in the speeches. Charles spoke about feeding Harry a bottle and changing his nappy, and then said look how well he turned out. That's about as embarrassing as it got.'

Ann looks like she’s wearing a brocade smoking jacket (dress). Ugh!

I fell asleep in the afternoon and have only just finished watching the ceremony. I had no idea who all the people were!

I thought it was a beautiful ceremony, I loved the reading from the American vicar/preacher? I felt sick seeing the wedding guests not showing much respect during that reading...I was sitting here thinking how beautiful and perfect it was, nodding and saying Amen, and some of them were rolling their eyes?!

Back to Anne...I thought she had got up too late and just turned up in her dressing gown!

I loved the Queen's outfit. All the bridesmaids and page boys were cute and lovely.

Doria looked lovely, and she looked very emotional, bless her.

Agree. The Queens outfit was stunning, as it always is. Doria.. she seemed so pleased and happy and it was so wonderful to see after all the awful things that have happened in the past week.

St George's Chapel has never heard a sermon quite like this before! I like it, much more interesting than the Archbishop of Canterbury.

His style might be different, but I felt the message was 100% in keeping with the Church of England. I was curious what denomination he was from, but I knew I'd find out here! I was also scared for that candle! lol

Did Meghan get baptised into CofE before the wedding? Is she Episcopalian?

Meghan's second dress!!! :fireworks:

So beautiful! I loved Bishop Curry - he was so much fun. The little ones, the cellist, the choirs. And Diana's sister, Lady Jane, reading from the Song of Solomon. Just so lovely.

I feel like I should send them a thank you note for giving us so much beautiful and happy while there is so much negativity in the world.

Love IS power!

I thought she looked breathtaking. Her dresses were elegant and minimal and I just loved them! I did think the wedding dress was poorly tailored and not a great fit to her body. That said, she still wore it beautifully!

I LOVE Escape to The Country!!!!!!

I've just seen where Charles walks down the steps from the church, escorting Camilla on one arm and Doria on the other. I think he did very well today with touches like that and how he escorted Meghan down the second part of the aisle.

I need to get a full length picture of the York girls dresses!

I would have preferred to have seen Meghan in the gold-embroidered bodice dress that I would have designed for her, I wasn't really enamoured with the dress she chose, but I was expecting her to choose something glamorous in its simplicity, and that's what she did and though I found the dress boring she looked so beautiful and elegant in it. I think some brides get outshone by their dress sometimes, but her choice of dress was more of a complement to her innate elegance, and the simplicity of it allowed her wonderful happy smile and those gorgeous eyes to really be the focus every time she was shown on camera, and I think that's perfect.

Yes, I loved the dress that Meghan married in. I did notice that it looked like it needed some adjustments. Did a look up on the fabric, it’s called Silk cady. They I had to look up silk cady and found that it is a silk fabric that is double bonded. Looked up what is bonded when it comes to fabric and found that it can’t be bonded to many other material to give more shape holding. One of the materials mentioned was foam backing (like on curtains). Not sure what the bonding for this silk dress was. I would be willing to guess that after all measurements were taken, a muslin sample of the dress was made to exact measurement. Meghan would have tried on the muslin and if it were a fit, the dress would be made as a copy of the muslin. I’m thiking the shape holding nature of the bonded silk caused it to look as if it needed more alterations. I would think the bodice and skirt would be fine with a bonded silk, but the sleeves could have been more clingy. All in all it was a classic design and I thought it was just beautiful.

I think that it is bonded with an open weave cotton fabric which is impregnated with stiffening to allow the soft silk some structure when tailored into a sculptured design. I loved the dress and she wore it well.

Maybe her acting training helped but I’ve never seen a more confident, relaxed bride...in any setting, much less this sort of hoopla.

The headband type fascination Beatrice wore at the wedding reminds me of the one she wore on the red carpet in that purple dress about a week ago. I will try and post pictures tomorrow from the lap top. I sure wish I could do that with the iPad! Sorry.

Does anyone else think the head/hat/fasinayore/headband forms are similar?
