This was the only photo I could find today. I thought I saw a very similiar photo that showed their full bodies in silhouhette the day of the wedding but I could be wrong.

Love that shot on the steps!

EDIT one of my other favourite pics is the one of them in a doorway I think, it's shot from behind them and Harry is just a silhouette. Anyone else seen it? I can't find it!

- Bbm: Think that's why I've always downplayed my ancestry. Especially after the 80's rise of the neo nazis here in the U.S --Like a curse over everything good... It's a damn shame.

Neo Nazis' have hateful views about people they see as "others". I hate that this would cause people to hide or "downplay" their own ethnic heritage. As Bishop Curry mentioned at the ceremony, Love is what makes us all Children of G-d.

I just cant see Charles ever passing the baton. He has been raised and trained for this role all his life.

Wow, that is not at all my style of dress but it is incredibly flattering on her!!
I thought she looked great at the Met Gala.

I agree. I don’t envy him when he does become king he will be at an age most people are retired and want a quieter pace of life. It is going to be very interesting to see if the public’s feelings on the Duchess of Cornwall (Camilla) change when she becomes Queen which Charles wants.

The Daily Mail has highly intrusive photos of Meghan’s father who is just out of hospital having had heart surgery. I am not posting a link here as I find it disgusting and think the poor man should be left alone along with the rest of Meghan’s family including her Mum. They are private citizens and should be left in peace.

Interesting. There's little mention of the family drama in recent US news outlets. At least, a Google search shows primarily British outlets still hunting down more of that story. Our media seems to care less about the crazy siblings or what her father is doing

Bbm: Yes, listening to Bishop Curry's words I was bowled over and reminded of just how important it is to remember that, and to not lose faith.

I have Jewish first cousins, grew up learning about that faith, and history, too. They were raised by my uncle their father from a very young age on after their mother my father's sister had a breakdown and left. --My uncle's strength and faith and eventual happy second marriage saved his kids. He's a wonderful dad.

So, when Charlottesville happened here, oh I was so dismayed. And I think we've just lost our way here on many levels. And I know this is not exclusive to America either. I kept thinking, is this the 1930s? --Must be very, very mindful of history and how it is exactly a climate of chaos that gives a voice and a rise to one group's hatred of the "other" can happen.

So, Bishop Curry's words were so timely as well. I think so many just needed to hear his words. My Trinity Church was pretty progressive in the 70's when I was a teenager. They hired their first AA reverend, we had the best youth group with best reverend ever, and then they went on to hire their first woman reverend in the 80's.

Meghan and Harry's wedding brought together so many elements of the Episcopal faith, its inclusiveness, and the joy of a gospel choir, too. And, a mighty bishop's powerful sermon and delivery on love and g_d.

It was a wedding for the ages and it filled me with pride for my heritage, too.

:heartbeat:

It’s been relentless here in the U.K. Do you know the Daily Mail even had an article and video about a school play Meghan Markle did. What interest is that to anyone? Every aspect of the Duchess’s life has publicised and it is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t think the press have learned a thing since Princess Diana died. We really need stricter privacy laws protecting public figures and but especially their families who are private citizens. They have hounded the Middleton family as well and it’s not on. Hopefully it will die down after the wedding but I don’t count on it.

Aaaahhhh....wedding rewind. I’m traveling, sitting in a hotel re-watching the wedding...a little more awake than the first time, but back in my pj’s. This time I got to watch a lot of guests arrive. Michael Curry is revving up his powerful sermon, followed by “Stand by Me.” What a beautiful, moving, ground-breaking royal wedding.

“MEGHAN Markle’s half sister has given her most explosive interview yet, claiming the Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland ‘cashed in’ on her daughter, as she accused the Royal Family of ‘inbreeding’ and ‘substance abuse’.

Samantha Grant, the daughter of Meghan’s father Thomas, also bizzarely pleaded with the newly-titled Duchess of Sussex to reunite with her family after nearly 10 years of estrangement, despite continuing to criticise her and the royals.

“I watched the bishop talk about love and unity and forgiveness and I hoped it would strike a chord within Meghan,” Samantha told The Sun.

So if that was real and if I were to define a principle to all of this then it would be that we all just work for a peaceful resolution and reunion as a family.
“This should ride on her conscience as a moral obligation to at some point communicate with me and be united rather than divided — as that was the whole message.

“If she wants to do the morally and religiously right thing then she will and I’m open to that.”

I wish Samantha would do the right thing and shut up for good. Nobody is interested in what this nobody has to say about anything.

Life lesson, dear Samantha Markle: The terms of forgiveness is ALWAYS on the forgiver. Not the forgivee. Meaning not you.

Literally didn't even know what her name was until I saw this post. A nobody is right.

I hope Meghan doesn't bother with them one bit. They aren't worth her time. I have in laws like this. They say the most hateful things about DH & I and then the next minute they want us to come back to them, apparently... Until the next time they have something awful to say. Ohhhhhhh hell no. Blood relatives shouldn't always remain as "family".

I’m hoping the press get fed up talking with her because she has nothing new to say. Can you believe there are talks happening about the family appearing on Jerry Springer obviously without Meghan?

UGH! As if that isn't bad enough... but Jerry Springer too! No, no. That's disgusting.

Meghan Markle made her first outing as the Duchess of Sussex today as the newlyweds arrived at Prince Charles's 70th birthday party at Buckingham Palace.

The honeymoon is over for Prince Harry and Meghan, with the new Duke of Sussex giving a warm and witty speech at the garden party in honour of his father Prince Charles.

The Duchess of Sussex was given a warm welcome into the family, with Prince Harry explicitly referring to the garden party as a 'family celebration' during his speech.

Harry and Meghan enjoyed only a brief private getaway following their wedding on Saturday, delaying their full honeymoon to honour the Prince, with talks of a 'mini-moon' in Ireland in June or July.

But their newlywed energy was on full display as she rubbed her hand up and down her husband's back as they made their way out.

That isn't accurate. Charles is allowed to say no. Remember how QE2 ended up as Queen.
If Charles says no, then William would become King.
Correct, it's not about popularity, I was simply saying that in the past polls have suggested a preference for William as our next King over Charles; doesn't mean that Charles would do that.
We are not a republic and that's alright.

Charles can say no, but he's not going to. He's already been confirmed as the next head of the Commonwealth, which is a pretty strong signal that he's expecting to become the next King.
