I always criticize Meghan but she totally rocks the hat. That style looks good on her. Far better than the toilet paper hat with the table-cloth dress that she wore to someone's wedding a few weeks ago.

I do like the color of lipstick that she generally wears.

Well that explains the shoes looking too big. Thanks!!!

Google Meghan Markle before Harry and look at her fashion choices. She has a few hits, but mostly misses. She has has no idea how to dress or what looks good on her body. She might even be one of those people who puts something on and doesn't look in the mirror lol--I have friends like that.

I mean, how could she have looked in the mirror and left the house looking like this

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Will Stay in Separate Hotels the Night Before Their Wedding

I don't look in the mirror, and I wore a khaki/olive green top today. I am so glad I'm not famous.

I think someone put that outfit in Meghan's closet for it to be worn in the fall. I really think she is clueless when it comes to fashion

I agree about Meghan’s outfit. I used to do color consulting back in the 1980’s (remember “Color me Beautiful”?), and although I don’t consider myself an expert by any means, I would never suggest olive green for someone with her skin tone. We are all looking at the dress instead of Meghan and that’s not the goal. It doesn’t draw our eyes to her face and enhance her looks IMO. Plus, even if was a good color for her, it’s not a summer dress.

I’m always amazed at the unbecoming choices some celebrities make on the red carpet. But they’re just people like us and some know their best styles and colors and others don’t. Meghan seems kind of hit and miss IMO. But at her age I hadn’t settled on my best looks either. I had my colors “done” several times and even went to a “style consultant” for fun with a friend, and read several books before I pretty much figured it out so that I know “what NOT to wear.” At least I didn’t have to do this on the world stage! :)

I agree--terrible to have to do it in front of everyone--I can't imagine.

She's getting terrible advice and I have a feeling from looking at someone's IG where at least some of it is coming from.:eek::eek:

LOL, but I bet you were not green from head to toe (to fingertips).

I think another awkward thing is that after Diana the media have led us to expect the royal women to have the most excellent fashion tastes and to be trendsetters in fashion. From hearing who designs their outfits, and the apparent important of knowing that to the media, I think it's putting a lot on them to expect them to be trendsetters without including a lot of hideous outfits being worn in between the amazing ones.

I love the tea dress style, and I think that came from Kate? Kate's dress choices the past few months are confounding me a bit. But at the same time I don't care what someone's wearing, I care about whether they're a decent human being. So I might have the occasional acerbic remark about some of the outfits, but I don't really care. I'd rather have a decent human being in a fashion mistake outfit than the other way around. I don't get the celeb culture thing, and I don't really like having the royals stuck into that niche by the media, and I don't want them to feel that they're pushed to fit into it by all the critical headlines and mean remarks from the fashionista columnists and bloggers.

Oh and the men don't get all this criticism over their hair, clothes, and make-up. Charles had a comb-over for donkeys years and who cared?

Sheesh, I am supposed to be not getting myself into trouble with opinionated posts! I can't take the fallout but I can't stop myself opening my trap :(

No, I had jeans on and silver fingertips :D

Eta I know that's a terrible color faux pas, but I'm not changing my nail varnish every day if it doesn't have chips!

Did you see the trouser suit outfit of the woman who's supposed to be her fashion adviser? The woman with the little boys who were pageboys. The kids in the same picture looked great, but that trousersuit!

I know you might say I'm being a hypocrite. I don't mind these criticisms behind closed doors, and I feel like this thread is like chatting to your mates in private...it's not the same as blasting it as a headline in a major paper or putting it in the DM's sidebar of shame.

We are looking at the same IG and all I can say is yikes!! And for more than just the trousersuit!

I always thought the rich and famous had people bring them outfits to try on and then decide on what they were going to wear. I always imagined that jacques, I would like to wear a pale blue fit and flare dress with cap sleeves and a wide belt and Jacques would bring 25 dresses to match the description.

I never thought of wearing shoes a little larger to avoid blisters but it makes sense.
Your feet swell if you are moving around a lot. I wonder how many sizes up Melania Trump had to go for the inaugural parade. I also thought that expensive shoes would not give you blisters.

I have no idea why I have had these thoughts.

Meghan, PLEASE get a hair stylist.

Better video of the family walking into the christening. Meghan's hat looks like a tulle frisbee lol. And I don't remember her hair being that long, so I think she got extensions.

I think a lot of rich women and even some men fall into the trap that if an outfit is say such and such high end designer and cost ££££ then they they must look good but they end up looking awful. I think being friends with your stylist is a mistake too as you are unlikely to be told you look awful. I would imagine some of the high end fashion houses do what the client wants despite it not looking right for fear of offending the wealthy or Royal client.

I watched all of the seasons of Suits over the past few months (btw, I loved the series) and I liked her style for the show. This is a cute video of her in the Suits wardrobe room

For me it is of interest as most of the women are nice and thin and rather attractive. They have all of the money in the world to look fabulous. But instead they have the ugliest of clothes. It is a total mystery to me .

Kate was beaming! I love that look on most every proud Moms face.

Meghan is not near as ‘effortless chic’ and confident yet as Kate’s poise has been from the onset. In time that will change some, but part of that is also innate. We have seen it both ways. Nonetheless I always think it’s fun to watch.

Yes, the poor clothing choices of the rich and skinny certainly is a mystery. And yet a rather round 92 year old Queen Elizabeth always looks wonderful! Of course, she wears the same “look” all the time, varying her hats, but what I love about her is that she is not afraid of bright colors. And the fact that she looks so much like my Mom, who died at 92, endears her to me. :)

She looks incredible for 92.;I read that she wears bright clothes so the public can see where she is.

It is refreshing to this group of Royals that exhibit class and decorum and include the public. Harry was a wild one but he certainly seems to have matured into a delightful person

My Meghan critique today.
1. Do something with the hair - it always looks dirty to me and like it is about to break.
2. Quit wearing the wide necklines - your shoulders are too broad for that.
3. Don't wear pencil type skirts or dresses, your legs are shapeless and your body is shapeless. You are built like a 10 year old boy.
4. Get shoes that fit properly or put inserts in them. She always looks like she is going to walk out of them.
5. Cut back on the heavy handed make-up.
6. Olive green is not your color - what about a pretty periwinkle blue for the Summer instead of Fall/Winter colors.

Meghan, if you need help please call me!!
Her hair probably looks that way because she straightens it but doesn't use enough hair moisturizer or leave-in-conditioner. But for some strange reason her hair always looks like it has product build up. I think Oprah needs to lend her personal hair stylist to Meghan for a month.
