Oh, I know but when she isn't nursing the poor dear has no cleavage to speak of anyway. Its just my opinion but I think she works very hard to stay super thin and its not her best look. I think she looks better with a bit of flesh on her body. There's a huge difference between staying 'fit' and being far too thin. She looked great when they were engaged, much healthier looking yet she was, by all accounts quite athletic. Now, she goes for 'skinny'.
I think Inthedetails has hit the nail right on the head. Poor Kate is confusing the two words and trying too hard.
Many of the Royal women can meet the criteria and still look smashing, not dowdy.
I'm thinking that Kate (and team) might intend to her to be looking more "regal" and matronly. She might be okay with a more motherly image than a youthful one.
Queen Elizabeth is an attractive woman, but she never really played that up - she went for a down-to-earth, stable, caring, competent look. Her look has served her well - and it has served the country well. I think Elizabeth's look is "dutiful."
In awhile, the Queen will no longer be Queen. Camilla certainly doesn't have either a motherly or beautiful look (even if she has gained some popularity). So...the next woman in line for that role is Kate. I think she's taking on the stable, maternal, caring, competent look that fits her increasing role as figurehead.
We live in crazy times. Polarizing politics doesn't feel stable. I think the royals can provide some sort of stable ground for everyone to feel that the world isn't pulling apart. Maybe I'm stretching the fashion statements too far, but I think the regal look might be exactly what she's going for.
I'd like to think so, anyway. Kate is beautiful, but I'd like her real beauty to shine as an asset to her country - more so than simply as a fashion plate.
As for Meghan - I'd like to see a bit more zing from her! She's a newlywed married to a fun guy - let's see a bit more joy in her clothes.
