I am really hoping that the rift is just a miscommunication. (I can hope, right?) I also understand that no one is perfect, but this is bad. I don't even care who started this, who is in the wrong, as long as the focus shifts back to Gabe soon. This is not in the best interests of finding him.

I tend to agree with the other statements that we just don't really know for sure what is going on behind the scenes. I am committed to not making ANY assumptions until we know more. And not knowing more might be for the best right now.

One possibility I would keep in mind:

... with the number of adoption agencies 'doing business' in the San Antonio area, the "loose laws and regulations" concerning parental rights there, and the long-term open violation of many laws in existence, it is just possible that adoption-scams have long been shielded there by the complicity of some on the inside of law enforcement itself. Possibly JJArmes knows that, and possibly, turning over inside information to those who might "inform" the wrong people could work against rather than for finding Gabriel. It's just a thought.

Well I am still somewhat puzzled that he states it maybe an underground adoption, then saying the reason EJ threw a hissie and refused to come to court was because she was protecting the person who has GB. Doesn't amke any sense. And then to say, or he didn't say, the reporter said, he had recieved tips in AZ and that was another reason he was at the courthouse. New tips, old tips or no tips...I would think if they were old tips, he would have investigated them long ago..who knows....but if there are new tips...maybe this is where the rift comes into play. Not trying to beat a dead horse...but it would be interesting to know about the tips, especially if it was just mis information on the reporter part...

I am also keeping in mind that Gabriel's so-called 'adoptive parents' may very well have a great deal of money and little to no scrupples. They may be able to 'buy' or even 'demand' complicity and silence. They may be involved in some very organized kinds of high crime that make it impossible for them to adopt in a legitimate way.

All information that may lead to the rescue of every missing child, including Gabe, should immediately be sent to LE in its entirety. To not do so places the safety and rescue of a missing child at risk.

The official hotline established by the San Antonio police department for information regarding Gabriel Johnson is through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC):

1-800-THE-LOST

Tips may additionally be emailed to the central tips email address established by Gabe's father, which forwards your information to LE, all PIs, and the family. That email address is [email protected]

Always be sure to send your tips to LE in every missing child case.

Thank you,
BeanE

BeanE...can I just assume we'll never know what happened here with JJ and LM ??? Not that is by no means any of my business. I have my reservations for sure about JJ, but at least, from my layman's view, or what has been reported, he was at least trying. Or at least I think he was. I dunno....I'm banging my head for another scenerio...and it seems like everything is just going cold....

I'm sure each of us will form an opinion about what happened, kappy. Hopefully people will leave Logan to deal with the situation in the way he feels best for his son, and just keep on searching for Gabe. That's what's important for the rest of us to do - keep on looking for Gabe.

It's important to keep looking for him, but awfully hard when we don't have information sharing, or if there are doubts about the integrity of the information.

I, for one, would like to know. And it's now been placed in the public eye, the public will call for a public resolution. Or it will snowball and no one will look for Gabe, they'll be too busy watching for Logan and JJ.

Mr. Armes posted a letter about an hour ago on Gabriel's FB page. I don't know the details of discussions that took place between the parties involved, but after reading the letter, JJ appears to be denying any wrongdoing and is halting his activities with G's case. This really saddens me, as it seemed that JJ had extensive experience in underground/illegal adoptions and also appeared to have numerous contacts on both the U.S. and Mexico borders. I do not personally know JJ, but it I really felt that he was sincere in his efforts to locate and reunite G with his daddy. JMO

Okay, pardon me, one moment. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
As much as I support JJ and what he does...what was the point of the open letter of intent against the law firm. Libel, we get it. Please do that privately. I hate to say it, but that was not needed here, and it seems like a publicity seeker's actions. Poor Gabe, I almost feel like I'm watching the case ice over.

I don't know what to think. Was overjoyed when JJ Armes joined the search for Gabe, but some of the comments attributed to him in the last few days are nothing short of grandiose. Meanwhile, Gabe is out there somewhere, possibly learning to walk right now...without his Daddy to cheer him on.

NMK,
I thought I remembered reading on this forum that you had had some interaction with JJ in the past. If that is correct, and I hope you don't mind me asking, what was your impression of JJ? I only know what has been written about him by various reporters and such.

I see where other people have posted a letter with Jay's name on it. I don't see where Jay posted a letter. Can you point me to it please?

I've talked with JJ about my own case, which he solved. He seemed very down to earth, sharp as a tack. As a person, I know next to nothing about him, and I don't know about his strategies, but I am very disappointed. Both in his seemingly attention seeking behavior at Gabe's expense and at the fact that his resources are no longer available in the search.

ETA: Obviously, I am a little turned around right now. I don't want to have to choose a side, and I don't want there to be sides. There should only be one side, those working together in every aspect to bring Gabe home to Logan.

ETA Again: I actually perceived him as someone that was appreciating a life no longer in the spotlight, which is part of why this is so difficult for me.

That's not posted by Jay. Right now, we don't even know if that letter is authentic.

Gabriel's tipline has not been removed from the homepage of JJ's website. Don't know if that means anything.

I really hope that is the case. Hope I didn't cause a problem by posting about the letter....

If anyone finds a letter we can link to that shows it is from Jay, please link it in. Right now we just don't know who wrote that.

No problem at all, Catbird. Looks like drama is breaking out all over the Facebook. We just have to realize that and keep things constructive and focused over here, until we can figure out what's what.
