You lost me here, Patsy read SBTC, she thought saved by the cross, and remembered ? Sorry..I don't understand.
If Buffy were out in 1996..the movie..(I think it may have been) maybe it would fit that spike and buffy took the child? If you are correct that the killer was a buffy fan,it may be a possibility. Can we give this woman an age in '96? Was she 19..20..older?
