As a teacher I am so sick of seeing Arse. It's stupid. I always ask them if a rapper died and are they in mourning? They don't get it. I tell them (abides by school rules too) Pull em up, belt up up or we can supply a rope to hold them up. Don't they feel that breeze? Girls too, they aren't so innocent. I hate seeing a thong half way up their backs.

The folks that make these are guilty of making this trash too. They know it sells but come on it looks STUPID. Reminds me of when your mom made you try on your WAY big brothers clothes.....

They do, it's called the don't let the teen pick them out and stop buying them 4 sizes too big trick. You play this trick by not taking money out of your wallet and handing it over to said teen or clerk lol

I also don't buy jeans that expose my teen daughters private parts, bending over or otherwise.

Looking like a hootchie or a is not pretty. I'm not quite sure where the trend came from but it ain't happening everywhere. Believe it or not the 80's are back somewhat here. With the upturned collars on shirts. I even saw pegged jeans the other day.

The preppies should be getting excited! LOL! I wonder if the penny loafers will come back too? I don't think I could handle the pegged jeans and upturned collars. I think I'll sit all this stuff out. Along with the shoulder pads and stuff.

on the shoulder pads. What moron did that to us? I still have all my rock and roll concert shirts, which my daughter wears. She calls them vintage. I say thanks I couldn't feel more ancient. Oh Pop your collar, it's freeing!!!

We are talking Atlanta, people... Until very recently, possibly still today there was a law on the city of Atlanta books that said, 'One couldn't walk a chicken on a leash on the sidewalks of Atlanta...'

Seriously... I am not lying...or even remotely teasing you...

I live in a metro Atlanta county and was teaching in the local school system when an elementary student stabbed and killed his principal. They put the kid away for a very short time and he was seen shortly after his release working in the local Wendy's drive-thru... The school system did name the school after the fallen principal. I wonder if that memorial dedication and the short time served by her husband's and the father of her children's killer helps with the nightmares she has each night?

Way to go Atlanta... Let's worry about baggy pants first and deal with the murderers later... That makes so much more common sense... NOT!

I would never do it of course but I get the urge to yank em down and push them over.

When I ran bonds I would tell em, pants up or no paperwork. I didn't want to see anything they had. Or didn't have. I only had one young man be flippant and he pulled pants and shorts down to show me his frontside.
After I finished laughing at his shortcomings I turned around and left him there. Like I told him, you NEED me to bond you out more than I want to.

It's a fashion that started in prison, and now the saggy pants craze has come full circle -- low-slung street strutting in some cities may soon mean run-ins with the law, including a stint in jail.

Proposals to ban saggy pants are starting to ride up in several places. At the extreme end, wearing pants low enough to show boxers or bare buttocks in one small Louisiana town means six months in jail and a $500 fine.

A crackdown also is being pushed in Atlanta, Georgia. And in Trenton, New Jersey, getting caught with your pants down may soon result in not only a fine, but a city worker assessing where your life is headed.

"Are they employed? Do they have a high school diploma? It's a wonderful way to redirect at that point," said Trenton Councilwoman Annette Lartigue, who is drafting a law to outlaw saggy pants. "The message is clear: We don't want to see your backside."

The bare-your-britches fashion is believed to have started in prisons, where inmates aren't given belts with their baggy uniform pants to prevent hangings and beatings. By the late 80s, the trend had made it to gangster rap videos, then went on to skateboarders in the suburbs and high school hallways.

The penalty is stiffer in Delcambre, Louisiana, where in June the town council passed an ordinance that carries a fine of up to $500 or six months in jail for exposing underwear in public. Several other municipalities and parish governments in Louisiana have enacted similar laws in recent months.
