There is just something "off" about her in this pi.cture

I always heard the hair doesn't match anything else in the house. If it was from the paintbrush wouldn't it match the rest of the paintbrush?

His second wife is a brunette.

And quite pretty too. One of the talking heads on I think MSN quickly showed the front page of one of the tabloids,with a dated pic of her and JMK. She had long curly brunette hair and very pretty ... he ... not so much. She didn't look crazy like him.

You know, there was some psychologist or some kind of "expert" on Catherine Crier a little while ago indicating we need to be looking at the observation Karr seemed to have a penchant for 12 to 16 yr. olds - considering that was the age group he was attracted to when he went looking for a wife! This expert says that means he is slotted into an age group he was attracted to and went after and probably wasn't as attracted, on a regular basis, to 6 and 7 yr. olds.

Now, I don't believe that because he indicated he wanted to teach very young girls in particular in Thailand, so I think this so-called "expert" is probably full of hooey, but ya never know!!

What happens if he is bent on confessing to a crime he actually did not comitt?

In other words, now that he is arrested, there will eventually be an arraignment hearing right officially charging him with a crime?

If he wants to plead guilty, then the DA does not have to prove guilt anymore, so what happens?

I think the judge would order a competency hearing to see if he can decide. Even if he is the judge just may assign him a lawyer to assist him anyway

Linda that kind of makes sense, but we just had a case here in CA where a woman had killed her husband and David Horowitz was here atty. Then she let him go, and represented herself. The trial was a circus, the judge did not stop her from acting on her right to represent herself, and she was found guilty.

I think the guy JMK is a complete KooK but he does not exhibit behavior that would prevent him from speaking eloquently in a courtroom setting and managing a competency issue.

So then what happens?

I think the prosecution has to have a good faith belief he was guilty and all the evidence to back it up

I have heard many many people here mocking this photo and saying how it looks "fake", how there is something "off", and on and on. I don't see any of that. I honestly see a woman in alot of grief and despair.

What SPECIFICALLY about this picture makes her seem a bit "off" to you?

I had seen a copy of that photo a long time ago, and up until just a few days ago I had always thought it was a fake. I have since learned that it is indeed real. Knowing this, it looks posed to me, in other words not a spontaneous shot, but a posing for the camera shot. If it is not, then it is a very unflattering photo of a woman whose daughter was strangled by a garotte, and an extemely odd placement of her hands all things considering.

The piece of the paintbrush the garrote was made out of was the middle section (it was broken into three sections) and on it was printed the word "KOREA". Therefore, we can assume this was an oriental paintbrush. Since oriental paintbrushes utilize different types of animal hairs, one of which is sometimes beaver hair, we can assume the beaver hair found came from the paintbrush. Apparently, one section of the paintbrush is and has been missing... it may be that the section missing is the part with the bristles. Also, apparently, the "intruder" took with him the entire case of remaining paintbrushes.

Anyone know if the section of paintbrush that has been missing from the beginning the section that had the bristles? That might be a "secret detail" that "only" the killer would know and supposedly kept from the public.

Dr. Henry Lee let slip that the piece of duct tape was USED... it came off of a doll in JBR's room (a doll that PP took from the house and was later replaced by another doll of the same type). So, no, an intruder didn't bring any duct tape with him, he rumagaded around the house looking for something that conveniently had a piece of duct tape on it he could pinch.

The note said..you will be denied her remains for proper burial...JBR was supposed to be in the kidnappers possession...not dead in the basement.

The tape came from an American Girl doll. My guess is so did the cords used to garrote and bind JBR. The site for AG dolls has a page that says how to re-string them with photos...

The ends of the string/cord that was used for the garrote and around the wrist of the body had frayed ends (not cut). Both cords used are of the same length. Pam took several American Girl dolls out of the house while she was dressed to look like a cop. In 1997, an American Girl doll was purchased by... guess who? JONBENET Ramsey... in 1997 after she was already dead! It was paid for by money order, so no way to tell who purchased it. BUT, guess where it was delivered to? ACCESS GRAPHICS! Another very interesting point is that the cloth body of the dolls are made of... da dum... TAN COTTON. There's your tan cotton fibers found on the tape and the cords and other assorted places (shame on you Lou Smit! How much are the Ramsey's paying you?).

So, did an intruder come totally unprepared and snoop around the house locating cords to garrote and bind JBR with and a nice piece of duct tape that would fit well over her mouth, the paintbrush for the garrote, etc, etc.? He broke in, and THEN went trotting all over the house looking for the bits and pieces of stuff to use to do his dirty deed instead of bringing the stuff with him? Yeah, right.

It looks posed, and I never thought she looked like she was grieving...I thought she looked like she was expressing a feeling of being touched at something someone had left on the grave....but it looks fake, no matter what emotion she was supposed to be displaying. JMO.

I agree. And I find it quite disturbing how she is holding her hands to her throat like she is.

Or, could it be the same person who photographed the dictionary dog-eared precisely to the word "incest" AFTER the crime scene had been gone over, and put the snapshot into the evidence file from which i believe ST said it fell out (everything else having been clipped together)?

You're probably right, simple explanation, but also it wouldn't hurt to keep the possibility in mind there's someone with a BPD connection or who's bold enough to infiltrate, invade the crime scene, etc.
