I've been readig many forums the past few days, and I saw where someone said they had a dog just like the Ramseys had - a binchon something or other.

I don't recall anything about them having a dog. Does anyone have info on this?

JonBenet had a dog, a bichon. I think its name was Jacques. The dog was at the neighbors' the night JBR was killed since they were leaving for MI the next day.

If they had a dog, which I was wondering also, certainly it would have been put in a kennel since they were leaving the next morning.

Jacques

More Jacques

He was given to the Barnhills who routinely kept him when the Ramsey's went on trips.

I have never read Steve Thomas' book and would love to. I saw it recently in a thrift store but didn't buy it. I wish I had.

I think our library has it, too. I'll likely just get it there.

Persons with AS show marked deficiencies in social skills, have difficulties with transitions or changes and prefer sameness. They often have obsessive routines and may be preoccupied with a particular subject of interest. They have a great deal of difficulty reading nonverbal cues (body language) and very often the individual with AS has difficulty determining proper body space. Often overly sensitive to sounds, tastes, smells, and sights, the person with AS may prefer soft clothing, certain foods, and be bothered by sounds or lights no one else seems to hear or see. It's important to remember that the person with AS perceives the world very differently. Therefore, many behaviors that seem odd or unusual are due to those neurological differences and not the result of intentional rudeness or bad behavior, and most certainly not the result of "improper parenting".

I have never heard most of these things about Karr...I don't know him personally though, so its hard to say what he may act like. Definitely a sex change doesn't seem to show difficulty with transitions or changeness, and all the traveling does not seem to indicate preferring sameness.
