JBR's zip up black boots just inside her bedroom doorway, with what could be the black velvet pants?

There was a pillow on JBR's bed, a Beauty and the Beast one, at the foot end.

The crime scene photos of the kitchen show someone's (maybe an officer's), jacket on the back of the chair, and no pillow.

Tortoise, this is from ITRMI, p. 166 in the April 2011 print edition:

Then we showed [Henry Lee] photos of the crime scene. "Wait," Lee said. "The pillow in the kitchen in this picture doesn't show up in that one. Why?" His eyebrows rose in wonder when he learned how things had been moved and how many people had trampled through the place before the photographers took their pictures."

I think the point is it wasn't in the photos taken that morning, and it was there later on during the video. So it wasn't there first thing when police arrived.

Finally the stain on JonBenet's bedroom carpet, in between the two beds

17 PATSY RAMSEY: No. I remember I
18 spilled red (INAUDIBLE) there one time and that

The brown marks don't look like spills to me. They look like stains from pet waste or fecal material. Am I off base here?

No butt-print in sight

Has the location of the butt prints been nailed-down? I've only been able to gleam a vague description of them being outside the door and maybe around the corner. Is this the carpet or is there one on the floor leading to the play room?

It's hard to say exactly where she means, there is only a rug outside the door, the rest of the floor is wood

She told the network that when she saw an indentation in the carpet around the corner from JonBenet's bedroom on the second floor, chills ran up and down her spine.
"It was a butt print. We all saw it. The entire area was undisturbed except for that place in the rug," Lacy said. "Whoever did this sat outside of her room and waited until everyone was asleep to kill her."

If they sat and waited until everyone was asleep, it means they sat there while everyone was awake. :rolls eyes:

Can anyone shed some light on exactly when she saw these supposed butt prints? Certainly there is no record of any mention of them to LE on the 26th, and supposedly the Ramseys left the house that day, never to return, so when were the seen? And when she says "we all saw them", who is she referring to? I have seen no indication that Patsy ever left the sun room that day, especially with a group. If she saw them prior to LEs arrival wouldn't she have said "we both saw them", meaning her and John?

Again this just reeks of being more Ramsey BS.

Lol, great point. The fictional intruder would have to have been safely hiding when the Ramseys returned that night. Why would he leave that safe space to go wait outside her door knowing that the parents were still awake. Makes absolutely no sense at all. Again, I think this is Patseys over dramatic imagination at work. It would make for great cinema, the psychopathic killer sitting outside the little girls room in the dark, but in real life there is no logic to it.

Once again, thanks to Ambitioned for the video link and to Tortoise for uploading the screenshots. My sleep deprivation is being treated with caffeine...

So, I'm considering that curious remark in Kolar's book about the possibility of JR dumping the missing items in someone else's bins, and I see items that could evidence that supposition.

The blue paper (NY Eve invite) outside the door/s to the spiral staircase hallway - inadvertently brushed out/blown out when someone used the exit?
Night vision binoculars on the counter by the phone - perfect for checking the way is clear.
Cleaning product on the floor in the hallway.
Binoculars in JAR's room - used to check "across the way".

I always wondered about Kolar's remark. Why waste precious book space on it? Perhaps not such a throwaway line after all.
Was anyone struck by any other curious asides by Kolar? (I do not have my copy of his book - lent out and never returned. Grrr... Waiting for the revised edition.) Are there other breadcrumbs we should be following?

Also, has anyone seen any reference to the additional glass and cutlery knife on the dining table? Back to the transcripts and evidential property lists...

I also believe those are black leggings or trousers with the boots by JBR's doorway.
The Beauty and the Beast pillow on the bed is at the bottom, sideways on, with an indentation facing the doorway.
For the first time, I can actually believe the part about JBR being laid on the bed and clothing removed. The pillow and location of clothing support that. I had always doubted this before.
Doesn't necessarily mean JBR was asleep while being changed and what the R's claim happened afterwards is, of course, fairy tale.
