Random Thoughts and Discussion Ideas#6 About the Case

So true, Chefmom! And, great saying!

For the Anthony home to remain so pristine - with near-white carpet, would take constant maintenance and care. We have neutral colored tile and 2 indoor dogs and I can never keep it clean and there's just DH and I.

To be able to keep that light-colored carpet looking like new with 3 adults, a toddler, and numerous pets in the house would be exhausting, but throughout such a stressful time, it was important enough for CA to mention LE tracking thru - I recall reading that LP mentioned this.

Can you please tell me about that incidence. I member hearing somethang about it but never heard the whole story. TIA

CA had mentioned it during the Greta interview. She said they moved it because they were afraid Caylee would stand on it and fall in the pool - IIRC

Great point...it is as if they both, Cindy and George, are trying to clean up on the outside what must be an internal mess. Even in the video's of Caylee the house in the background was spotless. Kids get dirty, they make messes by nature...I get the feeling that Caylee, even at 2 years old, knew not to do that. That in itself is sad.

I can only hope that the prosecution includes a video of Casey wearing her missing daughter's T-shirt tied at the bottom as she "strutted" to her atty's office daily. The jury should be shown just how much she was looking for her missing daughter while she was out of jail on bond. It's as if she was thinking the shirt with her daughter's picture on it wasn't quite good enough the way it was, must be form fitting ! It made me thoroughly sick ! :furious:

So true! And, exactly why was it so important? I mean, none of us wants to live in a "pigsty", but come on! If you come in my house on any given day of the week, you will probably see a childs toy from my great-nephew who is here all the time. You may sit on the couch and "discover" a lost dinosaur, or step on a matchbox, or see any number of things lying about. I work a lot, have my nephew here a lot, have a husband and 2 kids. I have a life! My home is clean and sanitary, but it is lived in! Not the plastic, "don't touch anything" type! So sad for Caylee!

ITA! You know, Caylee probably did know better than to mess anything up! Maybe even was afraid to! As to the pictures, you are so right! How many pictures do you have of your home looking like that when your kids were little? I doubt I have many, if any! Always a toy or something around. I had 2 toddlers at the same time. (My kids are a year apart) Poor little Caylee!

Just catching up with reading - in relation to KCs plans - I also think she planned to take off. I believe that a large part of her motive was to hurt CA, after the huge row they had the night before. And so she thought if she took off, she would not only be hurting CA by killing her granddaughter, she could also arrange things so that CA/GA were blamed for the death. I just don't understand why she hung around.

Not only house cleaning but George and Cindy moved & transplanted that large flowering plant, possibly a hibiscus. It was a very strange time to do that as well and suspicious.
And why did they move Casey's bedroom furniture around??

I don't doubt in any way that Caseys room did NOT have that much Caylee in it before hand. I bet it annoyed the crap outta Casey to come home and see Caylees picture just plastered all over her walls.

That seemed so weird to me. Why did she turn her bedroom into a bizarre shrine to Caylee? There was even sonogram pictures on the wall, right? Cindy implied that it had always been like that. I just found that really odd.

I wonder how much of the house got changed around and 'staged' for the cameras? I wish we could see some 'before' pictures to compare things to. the wayit is set up now, it is practically a shrine to little Caylee. although it may just be that is the way it always was, I rather doubt it.
To be fair, if my home were about to be invaded by TV cameras, I can assure you it would look a 100 times better than it does now..no dust bunnies under the bed, and a certain amount of staging.. fresh flowers in every room.. more family pics on the walls.. every critter in the house groomed within an inch of it's life..We all want to project our home, our family, our lives, as being better than they really are. So I don't really blame the As for doing the same thing.

Young people want to leave home and begin their own lives beginning at 17 and 18 (mostly earlier but our society likes people to finish high school). Here is KC "incapable" of doing just that but hanging with people who did manage to break away from home. TL, the boyfriend at the time had plans and aspirations. KC's "plan" was always to glom onto someone (like him) to make a break from her parents. I sure don't understand why KC wasn't better at this than she was! She could have "glommed" onto someone with some $$ but instead she hung with tattoo artists and disc jockeys. (Well..At LEAST they supported themselves, however...and she probably admired that).

I guess my random thought is about KC wanting to leave home --like all young people want to do--but Cindy did what she could to thwart the break. It was Cindy's job to prepare KC for adulthood. She did a miserable job!

Here is just one more thing that doesn't make sense to me. Why didn't she bolt during those 31 days? Were her ties to CA so great that she was afraid to leave? She obviously didn't think she would end up with ALz, thinking he might return to NY. Although she talked of independence with her friends, she obviously couldn't make the break. It's like she was still 12 years old.

Why would GA lime the yard? What does that do to a yard? I've never heard of that.

The only time I've ever known anyone to lime a yard was to aid in the decompositon of dog pooh(i do not know how that works, exactly, just that they did it). Maybe their yard was filled with pooh?

adding lime to your lawn can repair the damage of time and depleted nutrients or even added nutrients that create a more acidic soil on your property. Read the labeling of your testing kit or consult a professional landscaper for assistance when it comes to the proper amount of lime to add to your landscaping in order to achieve the results you desire. There is no reason to suffer through dead and dieing grass or even to have a lawn that is yellowed or patched.

The reason one would need lime for your lawn in short would be for the purpose of restoring the beauty and balance that Mother Nature occasionally needs a hand in achieving. Using lime will replace a lawn that was simply put—unhealthy looking and replace it with a lush and green lawn that you are eager to show off to friends, family, and even coworkers.

Lime is supposed to help speed decomposition and lessen the odor. It is interesting that GA would decide to use that on his yard at the time.

Lime is actually a treatment for your lawn. It's usually done in late March, early April or in the Fall. This does not apply to when GA applied it, in fact he could have ruined it. Here's a link to some info. on lime treatments. http://www.allaboutlawns.com/lawn-maintenance-care/planting-and-repair/lime-and-your-lawn.php

Yep. He could have burned his lawn doing it late in the summer when it is so hot. Again, interesting timing for him to decide to treat his lawn.

I do think AL was holding KC back. She was having a beautiful life. Those 31 days were probably the best days of KC's life.

I think KC WAS hoping she was going to end up being Mrs. L. She didn't say she woundn't ever move to NY. KC told Iassen she would not move to NY unless she was married. Then she raved on and on about love being worth anything...

KC told Tony she had to steal Amy's money for backup. (Not exactly what she told LE.)

In the meantime dreams of being in the music industry alongside her man and really planning events were dancing through KC's brain.

KC was just waiting for something to happen to point her in the direction to go. Tony might get a job offer and bend down on one knee to persuade KC to come with him. Or a news announcement of a child's body being found could force her to run.

County extensions used to put out bulletins telling farmers how to use lime to cover up dead cow and horse bodies. Lime not only speeds decomposition and covers up odor, it also keeps away flies.

I agree to a point. I would do the same under positive circumstances, but if a family member were missing, I'm certain the last thing on my mind would be the appearance of my home. The timing of the actions is what puzzles me.

And, I think the fact that they went overboard with the staging of Casey's room speaks volumes - they overcompensated. If they had left it as it was, it would project an average bedroom, but by going overboard it turned into a shrine and wasn't believable. IMHO.
